Realistically, I do not consider myself the foremost authority on anything as very few truly are (despite their mature education and credentials) - that does not mean however, we should refrain from contributing valuable academic content when and where we can. My Ph.D. is in European history and strategic studies with a particular focus on Roman and Germanic peoples of Late Antiquity. My secondary specialization is modern German intellectual and political history. My graduate degree is in European history as is my undergraduate degree. My eclectic nature shows in that I also have minors in math and chemistry.

Im Grunde genommen bin ich ein promovierter Historiker mit einem besonderen Interesse an der Art und Weise, wie Geschichte—insbesondere in Bezug auf Nationalismus und Identität—politisch instrumentalisiert und missbraucht wird. Mein Ziel auf Wikipedia ist: historische Artikel durch fundierte Recherche, präzise Sprache und die Einbettung moderner historiographischer Perspektiven zu verbessern. Dabei lege ich großen Wert auf Quellenkritik, strukturelle Klarheit und die Vermittlung komplexer Themen in verständlicher Form. Ich betrachte Wikipedia als eine wertvolle Plattform für offenes Wissen und versuche dementsprechend – soweit möglich – historische Inhalte bereitzustellen, die zugänglich, verständlich und verantwortungsvoll sind.
