To make the listed articles compatible with the Wikipedia Licence, I have decided to edit out the the material which is based on the incompatibility licence, so that there is no text in the articles which is not compatible with the Wikipedia:Text of Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 3.0 Unported License. The current licence used by the British Civil War website is Attribution-Non-Commercial-Share Alike 3.0 Unported, which places a restriction "Non-Commercial — You may not use this work for commercial purposes." which the Wikipedia license does not.

From Terms of Use at the bottom of all the pages "If you want to import text that you have found elsewhere or that you have co-authored with others, you can only do so if it is available under terms that are compatible with the CC-BY-SA license."

Those that leave no information or so little information that they are not coherent, I shall delete and recreate as a stub under Wikipedia:Criteria for speedy deletion#G12 "Unambiguous copyright infringement. Text pages that contain copyrighted material with no credible assertion of public domain, fair use, or a free license, where there is no non-infringing content on the page worth saving ..." Talk page text

I have removed a paragraph copied into this article from a restricted incompatible licence, see ... .

This is because Wikipedia [[Wikipedia:Text of Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 3.0 Unported License]] allows commercial distribution, but the current licence used by the [http://www.british-civil-wars.co.uk/ British Civil War] website is [http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/3.0/deed.en_GB Attribution-Non-Commercial-Share Alike 3.0 Unported], which places a restriction "Non-Commercial — You may not use this work for commercial purposes." which the Wikipedia license does not.

Providing the requirements of the [http://wikimediafoundation.org/wiki/Terms_of_Use Terms of Use] and [[WP:plagiarism]] are met there is no reason why information from the [http://www.british-civil-wars.co.uk/ British Civil War] website can not be summarised and and cited like any other copyright text. But it can not be copied under its copyleft licence into Wikipedia articles because its licence is more restrictive than the Wikipedia licence.
