The Elite Mid-Continental Football League (also known as EliteMCFL or EMCFL) is a semi-professional American football league formed from the merger of the Mid Continental Football League and the Elite American Football League.

History

Formation

At the conclusion of the 2010 MCFL season, the Kings Comets left the MCFL for the Gridiron Developmental Football League leaving the MCFL with seven teams from the previous year. At the same time, several teams from the United States Football Alliance left the league to form the Elite American Football League. Both leagues began looking for teams to add to their numbers. Eventually the presidents of both leagues began on a proposal to merge the leagues to create a single league.

Teams

The league will comprise teams from the states of Kentucky, Indiana, Michigan, Wisconsin, West Virginia, Ohio, New York, and Pennsylvania.
