Hi, I am RoadieRich. If you're going to abbreviate it, I prefer to be called Rich, as calling me Roadie would feel like calling Bob the Builder "Builder". I use that job as part of my username because, while I was never actually a Roadie, I was a stage crewman on both a professional and volunteer basis for a number of venues. I was born in Boston, Lincolnshire, grew up in Nottinghamshire, and now live in west Michigan.

I am a former student of Loughborough University, where I studied (and dropped out of) a Maths degree, and Nottingham Trent University, where I graduated with a degree in Software Engineering in 2014. I am currently employed as a test engineer.

I have an Extra class Amateur radio license, and my wife and are members of a number of reenacting groups portraying the 95th Rifles in the War of 1812 and the King's 8th Regiment of Foot in the American Revolutionary War. In the past I have also been a member of groups reenacting the English Civil War and the Jacobite Rebellion
