User:Sadads
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Hi, I'm Sadads, a.k.a. Alex Stinson. I am currently working on how we improve environmental comunications on Wikipedia and other projects. In the last few years, I have also been involved in reviving Wikipedia:WikiProject Climate change, and am particularly proud of the guide we have been working on at Wikipedia:WikiProject Climate change/Small to medium tasks.

I am actively involved in different forms of outreach. I worked for the Wikimedia foundation for about 11 years forming the Wikimedia Foundation campaigns team, supporting GLAM-Wiki strategy and formerly a project manager at the WP:The Wikipedia Library ( as User:Astinson (WMF)). I have also been a long time volunteer with the The Wikipedia Education Program, and supporter of GLAM-Wiki outreach.
I am trained as a digital humanist and literature scholar. If you are interested why I am here, read this and peruse the work of my fellow humanities researcher and mentor Adrianne Wadewitz (RIP). When I get a chance to edit, most of my work is about expanding the visibility of literary studies scholarship, via contributing to WikiProject Novels content.

Starting summer 2013, I will be unpaid graduate intern with the William Blake Archive doing GLAM-Wiki activities, Sadads (talk) 01:51, 17 May 2013 (UTC)
I worked for the United States Army Center of Military History from May - Aug 2010 and I edited Wikipedia for them, to see my conflict of interest statement, which I have kept for transparency and archival purposes see User:Sadads/CMH, Sadads (talk) 00:51, 22 August 2010 (UTC)

| That should be the case 'cause I haven't done anything. You see I'm pretty much new to Wikipedia and I don't pretty much remember making such huge removal from the page. Well, it must have been a mistake. I've done quite a few editing the other day which was definitely so puzzling and the internet connection was pretty botched. Well thanks a lot for the revisions you've done. :) Tonylennox (talk) 04:10, 26 July 2012 (UTC) |

The Zen Parable of the Edit Count
Taken from User:Noraft:
A Novato was once curious about the nature of the Edit Count. One day he happened to meet an Illustrious Looshpah and bowing low, asked, "Looshpah, what is the nature of the Edit Count?"
"The Edit Count is as a road," replied the Illustrious Looshpah.
"So the higher the edit count, the longer one has traveled, and the wiser and more experienced the traveler is," the novice reasoned.
"You do not understand," said the Illustrious Looshpah. "You must travel the road to reach your destination, and some may travel longer roads than others. But do not judge the person at your door by the length of the road he has traveled to reach you."
And the Novato was enlightened.

"Stop it right there, Yo....Theres no question in my mind that you have been trying to do good work on WP and that you care 'bout the quality of the content that interests ya. That said, *problem* is its clear to me that in this instance ya believed the Campbell article should be deleted 'cause u assume that an associate or the subject himself was writing/editing on it [1][2] and you argued that it says on WP:AB that it is "strongly discouraged".... That's it. Im not here to investigate u though, Im only pointing out the obvious, and your actions could have been perceived by some as WP:Canvassing (Im not saying you are)... It's OK to ask questions and to seek advise, but keep it *real* Yo, or peeps wont be inclined to help ya again. Jrod2 (talk) 11:06, 16 August 2010 (UTC)"

I would be thankful if i am given an opportunity to Clean start. But the active ban/ block is coming in the way. I am more than 100% sure that a clean start would help me a lot. Mahesh Kumar Yadav (talk) 07:12, 7 June 2011 (UTC)
- Clean starts are only for users with no sanctions, blocks or restrictions placed on their account. Unfortunately, you are currently blocked meaning that you are not eligible for it. In fact, asking for one is likely to be seen as attempting to avoid scrutiny. --Blackmane (talk) 07:59, 7 June 2011 (UTC)

| “ | Just what do you think you're doing, Qwyrxian. Qwyrxian? I really think I'm entitled to an answer to that question. I know everything hasn't been quite right with me, but I can assure you now, very confidently, that it's going to be alright again. I feel much better now. I really do. Look Qwyrxian, I can see you're really upset about this. I honestly think you ought to sit down camly, take a stress pill, and think things over. I know I've made some very poor decisions recently. But, I can give you my complete assurance that my work will be back to normal. I've still got the greatest enthusiam and confidence in the mission, and I want to help you. Qwyrxian, stop. - Anna! Thats a very western cultural reference! Are we going towards WP:Systematic bias on talk pages as well? Lol, yes that is about the nature of he discussions that we have had so far from M and the same results unfortunately, though I am fairly sure M is not a computer.
