I do not think the edit i was trying to make was unconstructive. I was just trying to change the redirect Duck roll to Rickrolling as Duckrolling is the predecessor to rick roll and is mentioned in the "Origin" section. Duckroll also redirects to the Rickroll article.

Oh, sorry. Shinyedit (talk) 12:58, 5 January 2021 (UTC)

Nice job 9LX :D

I'm Wikipedia n00b. You created FIDE World Fischer Random Chess Championship 2022 right? If so, then nice job! :D Thewriter006 (talk) 01:12, 26 September 2022 (UTC)

Thanks! I'm not fully responsible for the article, a Wikipedia article is the product of the contributions of many editors. Everybody starts out as a noob, but I'm sure that you'll get the hang of things soon. Have a great day, 9ninety (talk) 02:59, 26 September 2022 (UTC)

Introduction to contentious topics

You have recently edited a page related to India, Pakistan, and Afghanistan, a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.

A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have an expanded level of powers and discretion in order to reduce disruption to the project.

Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:

Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures, you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.

Your submission at Articles for creation: Grand Chess Tour 2025 (May 3)

Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed. Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reason left by Greenman was:
The proposed article does not have sufficient content to require an article of its own, but it could be merged into the existing article at Grand Chess Tour 2025. Since anyone can edit Wikipedia, you are welcome to add that information yourself. Thank you.
Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit after they have been resolved.
Greenman (talk) 10:50, 3 May 2025 (UTC)
@Greenman Looks like someone created the article in the mainspace before my submission got accepted. Since the draft currently has more content and is better sourced, what's the procedure for merging the pages while preserving the edit history? Thanks, 9ninety (talk) 11:23, 3 May 2025 (UTC)
Usually the process is just to merge the text, and highlight the original in an edit summary (see WP:MERGETEXT). However, since the draft won't exist indefinitely, I'm not entirely sure. Wikipedia:History merging doesn't seem to apply. I suggest just being bold, merging with an edit summary, and then asking for help at Wikipedia talk:Merging. Greenman (talk) 11:35, 3 May 2025 (UTC)
Got it, thanks. 9ninety (talk) 13:41, 3 May 2025 (UTC)

DYK for Doping in chess

On 29 September 2025, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Doping in chess, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that chess tournaments implemented doping tests before doping in chess was even proven to be possible? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Doping in chess. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Doping in chess), and the hook may be added to the statistics page after its run on the Main Page has completed. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to nominate it.

Regarding this edit: note by changing the prefix string of characters from * to :, the wikitext parser closes a first-level bulleted list and then opens an unbulleted list, which results in extra list end/start announcements by screen readers. In accordance with Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Accessibility § Lists, could you consider following the guidance to use {{pb}} to start a new paragraph within a bulleted list item? Following this guidance would avoid extra pairs of list start/end announcements. You can also see User:Isaacl/On wikitext list markup for more details (and User:Isaacl/On wikitext list markup § New paragraph within a list item specifically regarding new paragraphs within a bulleted list item). Thanks for your consideration! isaacl (talk) 05:06, 13 February 2026 (UTC)

Sure! I didn't know to do that, but I will try to remember from now on. Thanks for the tip! 9ninety (talk) 07:00, 15 February 2026 (UTC)

Suggestion Request

Do you have any suggestions for items that I can add under the See Also sub head for the 2026 Afghanistan-Pakistan conflict?

Regards 4-RΔ𝚉🌑R-01𝕏 (talk) 04:40, 2 March 2026 (UTC)

Also would it work to move is Islamic State to combatent 3 status are they support neither side but engage in killing both side? They also have pretty much not done anything there yet as for them fighting. 4-RΔ𝚉🌑R-01𝕏 (talk) 05:05, 2 March 2026 (UTC)
I'm not sure IS should be included in the infobox. In the 2025 India–Pakistan conflict, India targeted terrorist groups Jaish-e-Mohammed and Lashkar; however, they aren't listed as belligerents in the article's infobox. The IS doesn't seem to be participating in combat operations, and it seems both sides have accused the other of harbouring them.
As for the WP:See also section, it isn't required in articles, but you could add items that are more relevant to Afghanistan–Pakistan relations and Pakistan and terrorism, such as Afghanistan–Pakistan clashes (2024–present), Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan, 2022 Pakistani airstrikes in Afghanistan, 2021 anti-Pakistan protests, Insurgency in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Deportation of undocumented Afghans from Pakistan. 9ninety (talk) 12:01, 2 March 2026 (UTC)
Okay mann! Thanks 👍 4-RΔ𝚉🌑R-01𝕏 (talk) 12:23, 2 March 2026 (UTC)

Article Rework

I woke up to find both articles in states of decay, Can you help me out by re-writing the Reactions on Iran conflict page? I have school so wont be able to edit for long 4-RΔ𝚉🌑R-01𝕏 (talk) 05:03, 3 March 2026 (UTC)

Im having nations classified by region, should make prose easier to compose 4-RΔ𝚉🌑R-01𝕏 (talk) 05:04, 3 March 2026 (UTC)
My suggestion: I think I'd prefer classifying reactions by condemnation and support/opposition for US-Israel or Iran. The goal is not to have reactions from all parts of the globe, but to have historically significant reactions that could have a meaningful impact. 9ninety (talk) 06:06, 3 March 2026 (UTC)
I'll do what I can to help, but I've also got exams, so I don't think I'll be taking up the conversion to prose work for now. 9ninety (talk) 06:08, 3 March 2026 (UTC)
I ve done it by nations, just need some one to paraprase a cut it down as well as eliminate smaller nations uch as banglash and kazakstan as just mentions under sub head others at the bottom of article 4-RΔ𝚉🌑R-01𝕏 (talk) 06:15, 3 March 2026 (UTC)
Im sorry man, but my paragraph works were reverted and it is still now a Flag Salad at that page. Can't do not more 4-RΔ𝚉🌑R-01𝕏 (talk) 17:38, 3 March 2026 (UTC)
