Graphical timeline now parses embedded

Looking at your edits to various geological graphical timelines, I changed the underlying Module:Graphical timeline to parse |embedded= for yes/true/1. No need to add that to the calling template any more. — hike395 (talk) 13:23, 8 October 2025 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited North Sea, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page William Smith. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ  Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Courtesy note

I have nominated an article you accepted earlier today for deletion - Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Hived - please do not take this personally. When we do our job correctly at AFC we strive to accept borderline drafts. We simply disagree which side of the border it was on. That some go to AfD is expected; that some are kept and others deleted is accepted. The community is better than ether you or me at making decisions over this. 🇵🇸🇺🇦 FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me 🇺🇦🇵🇸 20:30, 18 November 2025 (UTC)

@Timtrent: Alright, thanks for letting me know. I did try to remove as much promotional language on the article, and make the best judgement I could while checking each source, but I understand when further opinion should be taken in on a subject, so I won't take it too hard. — Alex26337 (talk) 20:58, 18 November 2025 (UTC)
All any of us can do is our best. This is not a criticism of you in any way. 🇵🇸🇺🇦 FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me 🇺🇦🇵🇸 23:18, 18 November 2025 (UTC)
In case you find it useful, this is what I say at an AfD of any of my AFC acceptances where I am referenced:
I have a firm personal policy of steadfast neutrality at articles I accepted at AFC. I follow the guidance that a draft must, in my view, have a better than 50% chance of surviving an immediate deletion process. This is an immediate deletion process and I await the community's view. If kept, I will be pleased. If deleted, I will correct anything I feel needs to be corrected in my reviewing. Reviewers get better when their work is sent to AfD, which allows the community to decide as opposed to a single reviewer.
I have found that it is something no-one can argue with, even if they want to, or even try to. As reviewers we are one person, and the community is, by definition, a better judge than we are.
Thank you for not getting drawn in too far into this one. It can take a great deal of restraint. 🇵🇸🇺🇦 FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me 🇺🇦🇵🇸 22:42, 20 November 2025 (UTC)

Wishes for good health

Hi, Alex, I just saw that you are not doing well. Hope you’re feeling better soon. The Other Karma (talk) 09:05, 2 December 2025 (UTC)

Hi @Alex26337 I hope you are getting better. I saw that you are currently active. I would like to ask you would mind processing my edit requests? Some are waiting since two months. If you needed any help, I am happy to assist. :) The Other Karma (talk) 18:00, 6 January 2026 (UTC)
@The Other Karma: Thanks for supporting me. I apologize if I am not checking through the list as much as I'm used to. I'm currently having external issues that I needed to focus on, and I was busy with this article a lot, so I couldn't addresss your requests all the time. I will try to see if I can help again. However, I want to mention that most of the articles on your list of edit requests pertain to a topic I'm very sensitive to, and I may not be comfortable addressing what you want me to look at. — Alex26337 (talk) 18:18, 6 January 2026 (UTC)
Oh, I am sorry. I didn't know that. I would obviously have considered that if I had known. Thank you for your time. The Other Karma (talk) 20:31, 6 January 2026 (UTC)

Vandalism warning

Hi @Alex26337, I want to let you know I've reverted one or more of your contributions because they do not seem constructive. If you think I made a mistake or have questions, you can leave a message on my talk page. Please note that continued vandalism may lead to restrictions. ~2025-35500-85 (talk) 01:02, 17 December 2025 (UTC)

@~2025-35500-85: Hey, I believe you have made a mistake with this response; that contribution I made to which you're referring to was not only in good faith, but is nearly a year old. You may need to reconsider your stance here. — Alex26337 (talk) 04:30, 17 December 2025 (UTC)

Photo of Pseudanabaena foetida

Alex26337, I think there is a problem with your claim of "Non-free fair use" for this image that you have uploaded to Wikipedia. I have put details of my concerns about this at File_talk:Pseudanabaena_foetida.jpg which I think is a more appropriate location for any discussion about the image. Please will you read my comment and add any reply there. Thanks. GeoWriter (talk) 16:23, 23 December 2025 (UTC)

DYK for Siderian

On 12 January 2026, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Siderian, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that the Siderian is currently the earliest internationally recognized geological period? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Siderian. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Siderian), and the hook may be added to the statistics page after its run on the Main Page has completed. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to nominate it.
