Please do not add or change content, as you did at Toronto–York Spadina subway extension, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources to see how to add references to an article. Thank you. Johnny Au (talk/contributions) 17:14, 13 February 2026 (UTC)
- I was pointing out on the "connecting infrastructure" section of Toronto-York Spadina subway extension, on "A GO Transit bus terminal (also used by YRT buses) was built at Highway 407 station, again outside the paid area, but within the main station building. Ontario Northland intercity buses also operate to/from that station as well, which is the reason I put Ontario Northland on there. Alexscarborough (talk) 17:37, 13 February 2026 (UTC)
- you should have accepted my changes on Toronto-York Spadina subway extension page. I believe Ontario Northland buses operate to/from the Highway 407 station as well, but requires an additional fare when transferring between TTC and Ontario Northland as it is not included in the One Fare Program. PRESTO cards cannot be used to purchase Ontario Northland tickets, and needs to be purchased by other means. Alexscarborough (talk) 17:43, 13 February 2026 (UTC)

All Line 5 and Line 6 are considered "stations"
Hi Johhny, just made some changes on Toronto Transit Commission fares regarding >Line 5 Eglinton and Line 6 Finch West. All Lines 5 and 6 stations are stations regardless of being on surface level or underground according to the Toronto Transit Commission website and onboard announcements.
Line 5: https://www.ttc.ca/routes-and-schedules/5/0
Line 6:https://www.ttc.ca/routes-and-schedules/6/0
When it comes to fare payments on Lines 5 and 6, it cannot be done onboard as they don't have onboard fare equipment as it is on TTC buses and streetcars. Fares must be purchased/paid at the station prior to boarding.
PRESTO customers must tap a PRESTO, credit or debit card must tap on the standalone PRESTO device (for surface stations) or at the faregates (for underground stations) to pay fares or validate transfers.
For cash-paying customers at surface stations, they must pay at the grey/silver fares and transfers machine and obtain a paper proof of purchase (POP) transfer.
For underground stations, cash-paying customers deposit exact cash into the fare box beside the customer service attendants at the faregates and obtain a paper POP transfer from the red transfers machine as is the case with other Toronto TTC subway stations.
No change is provided for those paying by exact cash.
Hope this helps. Alexscarborough (talk) 20:41, 16 February 2026 (UTC)
- Just to let you know, I primarily make minor edits. Anything major, it is better to as Joeyconnick, Magnolia677, or Transportfan70. Thanks. Johnny Au (talk/contributions) 00:50, 17 February 2026 (UTC)
One Fare Program
Hi Johnny, I have just updated https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toronto_Transit_Commission_fares#One_Fare_program to state Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) began its participation with the Ontario One Fare Program in February 2024, prior to that, there were already similar fare integration deals between suburban 905 transit systems and between 905 transit and GO Transit systems in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area (GTHA), but this did not include the TTC. For instance a customer can travel from Brampton to Mississauga using Brampton Transit to MiWay on 1 fare within a 2-hour transfer window, that's been the case for many years even before the TTC came onboard with the Ontario One Fare Program.
The Ontario One Fare Program now works for transfers between TTC, GO Transit and other participating local transit agencies in the GTHA such as Brampton Transit, MiWay, Oakville Transit, York Regional Transit etc, that use Presto, so basically any PRESTO-participating transit agencies in GTHA, except Union Pearson Express, works for the Ontario One Fare discounts.
A customer using a Presto card or even a contactless credit or debit card for instance can travel from Oakville to Toronto using either Oakville Transit, MiWay and TTC or Oakville Transit, GO Transit and TTC all on just 1 fare within a span of 2-hours.
In my scenario I have used a PRESTO card to travel from Oakville to Toronto Etobicoke using Oakville Transit to MiWay to TTC and manage to do it all on just one fare within a span of two hours. So Oakville Transit to MiWay to TTC should work fine on just one fare Johhny if you can do it all within a span of two hours for instance if you're using a PRESTO card.
More information on the One Fare program is available on www.prestocard.ca/onefare On that website, you'll see a map that shows all of the participating transit operators involved in the One Fare Program. Alexscarborough (talk) 05:12, 26 February 2026 (UTC)
