Unattributed translations
Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you translated text from ca:Tribunal de Corts to Tribunal de Corts. While you are welcome to translate Wikipedia content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing requires that you provide attribution to the contributor(s) of the original article. When translating from a foreign-language Wikipedia article, this is supplied at a minimum in an edit summary on the page where you add translated content, identifying it as a translation and linking it to the source page. Sample wording for this is given here. If you forgot, or were not aware of this requirement, attribution must be given retroactively, for example:
NOTE: Content in the edit of 01:25, January 25, 2023 was translated from the existing French Wikipedia article at [[:fr:Exact name of French article]]; see its history for attribution.
Retroactive attribution may be added using a dummy edit; see Repairing insufficient attribution. It is good practice, especially if translation is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{translated page}} template on the talk page of the destination article. If you have added translated content previously which was not attributed at the time it was added, you must add attribution retrospectively, even if it was a long time ago. You can read more about author attribution and the reasons for it at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. JTtheOG (talk) 20:54, 1 January 2026 (UTC)
- @JTtheOG Thank you for letting me know, I had completely forgotten. Retroactive attribution made. _-_Alsor (talk) 21:03, 1 January 2026 (UTC)
Possible bias
Hi,
I note you removed the addition of beginning of Zohran Mamadani’s term as NYC Mayor from the 2026 events page.
I also note, from your own user page, that you’re a Zionist and anti-communist. Is it possible your political biases is affecting your editorial judgement?
Grateful if you could reflect on this. ~2025-38749-91 (talk) 00:13, 4 January 2026 (UTC)
- @~2025-38749-91
- Welcome to Wikipedia and welcome to Year in Topic, a page I have been contributing to for years and know well, learning more about how it works every day.
- I'll tell you constructive:
- 1.- Before accusing someone of bias, first make sure that the accusation is substantiated and supported by evidence. In my case, my political views have never interfered with my activity on Wikipedia, which is why I make them public without any shame and with the certainty that I can guarantee the neutrality of my contributions to Wikipedia, which are obviously subject to disagreement, review and correction.
- 2.- I advise you to read this so that you can find out what objective criteria have been used to consider that the inauguration of a mayor (I insist, I am talking about "a mayor", not Mamdani) is not suitable for Year in Topic. If you need clarification, please let me know.
- 3.- As a tip if you want to start editing: if you think that a Wikipedia page is missing content that you consider essential, analyse the Talk Page and History of the page, because it was most likely removed for an objective reason based on Wikipedia's policies.
- Best regards and thank you. _-_Alsor (talk) 00:26, 4 January 2026 (UTC)
- The significance is that he will be the first Muslim and Asian American to hold the office. A perfectly reasonable addition on that basis. There are numerous examples of elected office holders being noted on previous year pages for similar reasons. While I appreciate you disclosing your pro-Zionist views (well, not appreciate the views themselves), I am still concerned that you are being influenced by bias in your approach. ~2025-38749-91 (talk) 00:44, 4 January 2026 (UTC)
- @~2025-38749-91
- 1.- Seeing that you are insisting on my alleged bias, which is now becoming an unfounded personal accusation, I remind you of the following Wikipedia policies: WP:PA, WP:AGF and WP:CIV. As well as the option that exists in the event of aggravation of these accusations: Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents.
- 2.- Year in Topic is not the place for local politics. Whether it's the first Muslim mayor of New York, the first Jewish mayor of Tokyo, or the first transgender mayor of Moscow.
- I advise you to stop maintaining your hostile attitude towards me and to stop disrupting Year in Topic. You've come to the wrong place if you want to have a political discussion. Wikipedia is an encyclopaedia. _-_Alsor (talk) 01:07, 4 January 2026 (UTC)

Srbuhi Galyan
Hi thanks for creating this article. When we translate or borrow from other language wikis it’s a requirement to acknowledge the source. The best way to do this is to include it in your edit summary and there’s also a translation template you can add to the talk page. If you can confirm whether any material for this article was sourced from another language Wikipedia I’ll make the necessary edit if it is needed. Happy editing and please leave a message on my talk page if you need any help Mccapra (talk) 23:50, 8 January 2026 (UTC)
- Hi @Mccapra, thank you for your advice, I'll take note of that. But in the case of Galyan's article, it wasn't a literal translation taken directly from his article in Armenian. Some explanations may coincide, especially because the existing content about her biography is almost identical in different sources that I have found. I don't think it's necessary in this case. Best regards. _-_Alsor (talk) 23:57, 8 January 2026 (UTC)

- @Ξένηβ You and another user (or you through another account, violating Wikipedia rules) are making totally unconstructive contributions. I have justified the changes to you, and you continue to vandalise an article to which you have contributed nothing. Stop, and let others stop, acting this way. Welcome, by the way, to Wikipedia. _-_Alsor (talk) 14:19, 20 January 2026 (UTC)

- @Ξένηβ If you want to add the 1966 image, add it, of course. Do not delete the other one or replace the 2018 one with the cropped one because it is not of better quality. In the body of an article, cropped images do not add anything if they do not provide background or context. What else do you need me to explain? _-_Alsor (talk) 14:30, 20 January 2026 (UTC)
