What are you talking about? AstroidXD02 (talk) 03:14, 29 May 2025 (UTC)

June 2025

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Remsense 🌈  16:00, 13 June 2025 (UTC)

I'm going to state this very clearly for likely the last time, since I've said it several times before: articles are not generally required to use any particular template, like {{native name}}, just because that template is in use on other comparable articles. There is no real problem if an article like Germany uses that template in its infobox or not, and when such choices don't make a real difference, it's best to minimize disruption by letting things stay as they are. It's a really bad habit on here to edit war over deeply trivial matters like that. If you keep edit warring instead of engaging in discussions, you're likely to get blocked for disruptive editing. Remsense 🌈  16:04, 13 June 2025 (UTC)
i didnt remove anything from there i Just Added the Language Name (German) and nothing else because that Name is written In German AstroidXD02 (talk) 16:19, 13 June 2025 (UTC)
and another thing is that Native name includes the language name while lang didnt show the Name of the Language because of that i edited that AstroidXD02 (talk) 16:20, 13 June 2025 (UTC)
I know what the template does. It's not necessary to use it on France, as one example, and we are not required to use it. People generally know French is the official language in France, and such countries are cases where the template has the least purpose, and essentially just takes up space for no good reason.
On the other hand, the {{native name}} template is particularly useful to use on articles about states with multiple official languages, or states whose official language isn't common knowledge. It is a case-by-case decision. We don't have to use exactly the same tools on every article of a kind. Remsense 🌈  16:25, 13 June 2025 (UTC)
I saw Brazil's Article it also includes (lang) Even tho everyone did not Know Brazil's Official Language another Exmaple Is Austria and their Official Language Is German so is its not necessary that everyone knowns the language name AstroidXD02 (talk) 17:00, 13 June 2025 (UTC)
My primary point is it doesn't matter that much either way, so the norm (WP:RETAIN) in all such cases is to leave it alone, because otherwise there is fighting back and forth over non-issues instead of substantial improvements. If you aren't going to engage with this point, I can't force you, but I can only phrase it so many ways before it seems you don't care about listening to myself or others. Remsense 🌈  17:10, 13 June 2025 (UTC)
It does not need to be used. Moreover, like I said directly above, it is generally disruptive to impose it on articles where it isn't already used without a particular reason or the agreement of others. Remsense 🌈  16:20, 13 June 2025 (UTC)

Edit warring

You do not seem to understand that reverting others over and over is not how we make progress on here, though others have tried to communicate this to you. You continue to refuse to discuss disputes with others. If you keep making unhelpful reverts while ignoring the concerns other editors have with your edits, I'm going to ask at WP:ANI that you be blocked, because your editing so far is far too disruptive. Introduction to contentious topics

You have recently edited a page related to the Balkans or Eastern Europe, a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.

A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia's norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have an expanded level of powers and discretion in order to reduce disruption to the project.

Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:

Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures, you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.

Extended confirmed status revoked

For the record, per this ANI post, I've revoked AstroidXD02's XC status which was reached by self-admitted gaming. Once the user makes 100 meaningful and useful edits, they may request the status to be reinstated, either by pinging me or asking any administrator. Needless to say, any further blatant gaming will not be appreciated. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 18:05, 10 February 2026 (UTC)

Hey I have completed 100 edits useful and meaningful edits as you said and now restore my EC Status i have done my job. AstroidXD02 (talk) 10:20, 14 February 2026 (UTC)
Have you? I couldn't confirm few, the population density of Denmark seems wrong. Doug Weller Doug Weller talk 13:58, 14 February 2026 (UTC)
That's not the point my point is return my ec status just tell me are you returning it or not. First of all it's totally unfair according to rules you need 500 edits + 1 month old account and i have them both but because of some of my mistakes you take it from me now i have done the work that you said but you still not returning my ec status its unfair AstroidXD02 (talk) 14:06, 14 February 2026 (UTC)
It is completely fair according to the rules at WP:PGAME and WP:XC. It is reasonable that, since you previously made trivial edits to get permissions, you should have to justify or demonstrate why these last 100 edits were useful. By my count, after omitting reverted edits, you're at 91, not 100. Other, more subtle issues may also be present. (E.g., the Poland citation lacking an access date which made it not useful to verify, as the number changes very frequently, updates to population figures such as this where you changed a ranking without a source, and here where you reverted an soured update to figures without explanation.) EducatedRedneck (talk) 14:56, 14 February 2026 (UTC)

Fine Man Iam leaving this iam just tired of you guys specially admins and random ppl I've worked 1 or 2 years in this site but everytime i got nothing but headache iam just tired of you guys i can't explain anymore Its upto you I've already said to forgive my past mistakes and restore my EC status but they've said to make 100 edits so I've also do that. But still you guy's complains didn't ended at last i wanna say it again and lastly its upto you know that you wanna restore it or now I've already did my job.so now its totally upto you admin guys that you wanna restore or not. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Luther Duncan, links pointing to the disambiguation pages Auburn and Russellville were added. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ  Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

February 2026

You have changed to population density rank data in the infoboxes of dozens of articles without a scintilla of supporting evidence. Even an edit summary would have been a start. This way of editing is WP: disruptive.

Information icon Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I noticed that one or more recent edits you made did not have an edit summary. Collaboration among editors is fundamental to Wikipedia, and every edit should be explained by a clear edit summary, or by discussion on the talk page. Please use the edit summary field to explain your reasoning for an edit or to describe what it changes. Summaries save time for other editors and reduce the chances that your edit will be misunderstood. For some edits, an adequate summary may be quite brief.

The edit summary field looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

or in the visual editor:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

Describe what you changed

Please provide an edit summary for every edit you make. When logged in to your Wikipedia account, you can give yourself a reminder by setting Preferences Editing Tick Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary (or the default undo summary), and then click the "Save" button. Thanks! 𝕁𝕄𝔽 (talk) 09:59, 14 February 2026 (UTC)

These population density ranking changes are worse than useless. You have provided no clue as to where you got these new figures, so some other editor(s) are going to need to go through all your changes and evaluate them to decide whether they are correct. Can you explain where you got these new rankings from? If you have a source, please go back and add a reference to all the articles that you changed. If you just invented these figures without consulting any source, you have created a complete waste of time for other editors, so please go back and revert your changes. You should do one or the other of these things to show that you are editing in good faith and not just doing more busywork to gain permissions.
Also, some of your recent changes are demonstrably incorrect, such as your edit to Guyana where you changed the population density in km2 without changing the density in mi2, so that the two values now disagree. You did the same thing in your edits to South Sudan and Republic of the Congo. You should also repair the damage that you've done to these articles. CodeTalker (talk) 16:56, 14 February 2026 (UTC)
the source of population density is Wikipedia itself and another thing is don't you think you are too disrespectful? I haven't said anything yet so yeah AstroidXD02 (talk) 17:02, 14 February 2026 (UTC)
You think you can use our articles as sources? Doug Weller talk 17:35, 14 February 2026 (UTC)

If you do this a while and amass a portfolio of good edit requests, it'll be much easier to appeal the unblock, which can be done as described in the above linked WP:GAB. I hope this clarifies things. EducatedRedneck (talk) 14:50, 15 February 2026 (UTC)
Bruh im not talking about unblocking because for now iam not goona be active as much as before in this site so it really doesn't matter much to me that my id is banned for 1 month that's fine after 1 month i would make edits again if needed but my point is extended confirm status how do i get it AstroidXD02 (talk) 16:53, 15 February 2026 (UTC)
Same as I said above. Also, why would you want extended confirmed status if you can't make edits to articles anyway? If you can't answer that question, I wouldn't expect you to be given WP:XC status. EducatedRedneck (talk) 17:02, 15 February 2026 (UTC)
Bruh don't you get it as i said earlier that iam not goona make edits for 1 month anyway. And i also can't make it even tho if i wanted tho cause you have banned me. So what iam saying is that give me extended confirm so that when i get unbanned i can make edits again. That's my point. AstroidXD02 (talk) 17:09, 15 February 2026 (UTC)

A given level warning on your talk page is not a get-out-of-jail-free card. Administrator discretion is a thing, and where one administrator is willing to give a warning, another may feel that a line has been crossed. I have seen this several times when I have given a user a warning and another admin has then blocked them even though the user had not edited again. I have no complaint about that and have accepted the blocks as a reasonable response to the behavior. Please take the period in which you are blocked to consider why you have been blocked and how you can avoid the behavior that led to the block when the block has ended and you can return to editing. Except you unnecessarily add significant figures to numbers without explanation and consistently introduce the same English-language typos to data in infoboxes, like not learning after several warnings and hundreds of edits that "2nd" is not a typo but "2th" is (example of you changing 2nd to 2th just before your block).
