Harry Potter
Hello,
Please do not remove any more information about Cursed Child from Harry Potter articles. The play is considered canon by Rowling, even if many fans reject it. If you would like Wikipedia to view it as non-canon, you will need to start a talk page discussion and get consensus from other editors.
Even if we viewed Cursed Child as non-canon, we still would have to include it as an appearance of Harry Potter characters. We are not a fan site, so we don't delve into differences between canon and non-canon. We simply report what occurs, such as the inclusion of characters in Harry Potter-themed works.
I hope this makes sense, and please feel free to reach out with any questions.
I hope you have a good day.

- Appearances are via the novels only, not by extended appearances in other material. Once the TV show starts, are we going to list their last appearance, which will be the same as their first? No. Ridiculous to do so. Hence why it has always been via the novels only. B.Davis2003 (talk) 08:36, 1 April 2026 (UTC)
- The movies and TV show are adaptations of the books, so there is a strong case for not mentioning those as an appearance of the character, since it would be redundant. The play is not an adaptation, but rather a separate work. OrdinaryOtter (talk) 08:42, 1 April 2026 (UTC)
- Exactly, redundant. It has always been based on the source material's appearances. So please, the consensus should be obtained to change first, before changing it to appearances in other material outside the novel source material. I am just reverting changes to previous approved edits. B.Davis2003 (talk) 08:48, 1 April 2026 (UTC)
- Can you please explain how Cursed Child is not "source material"? It was written by Rowling and she states it is canon. OrdinaryOtter (talk) 08:53, 1 April 2026 (UTC)

- She didn't write it. It was written by Jack Thorne and was based on the original source material. It is also not a novel; it is a play and is not source material for the world of Harry Potter. B.Davis2003 (talk) 08:57, 1 April 2026 (UTC)
- If you dislike it, then take it to Template:Infobox character, which includes the instructions. Tbhotch™ (CC BY-SA 4.0) 09:01, 1 April 2026 (UTC)
- Hi Tbhotch, could you please offer your thoughts in the discussion I have started here? OrdinaryOtter (talk) 09:08, 1 April 2026 (UTC)

One Tree Hill season articles
And I quote from MOS:TVPLOT: Individual season articles should use either episode tables with no more than 200 words per episode (such as Smallville season 1), or a prose summary of no more than 500 words, not both.
I'm reverting your additions of season overviews (miscapitalized to boot) to all 9 seasons (e.g. One Tree Hill season 9). Also, editors reverting incorrect additions do not need to "gain consensus"—the need for consensus falls to the people making changes, not those reverting erroneous additions. —Joeyconnick (talk) 15:52, 5 April 2026 (UTC)
- Well, have fun removing synopses / season overviews from almost ALL TV series articles here on Wiki! 🙄 B.Davis2003 (talk) 16:05, 5 April 2026 (UTC)
- I reccomend you get to work then @Joeyconnick;
- The OC
- 90210 (TV series)
- Gossip Girl
- Gilmore Girls
- Pretty Little Liars
- Shall I continue? B.Davis2003 (talk) 16:15, 5 April 2026 (UTC)
- Nope, you don't have to, because editors fixing problems on one page or one set of pages don't magically become responsible for fixing them throughout the entirety of Wikipedia. —Joeyconnick (talk) 16:21, 5 April 2026 (UTC)
- You were so adamant that is a problem on the One Tree Hill season articles, so why isn't it an issue for just some of the show articles I've linked? Seems to me your edits are purely down to "Because I don't like it and I said so". B.Davis2003 (talk) 04:25, 6 April 2026 (UTC)
