DYK for Ludwig Minelli

On 2 January 2026, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Ludwig Minelli, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that an NFL player who played strip poker with nurses, a human rights lawyer who founded a Swiss assisted suicide clinic, and a businessman who denounced his old football playing style all had the nickname "Dr. Death"? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Skip Thomas. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Ludwig Minelli), and the hook may be added to the statistics page after its run on the Main Page has completed. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to nominate it.

Murc's law

I deprodded this with the reasons: "Deprod: Proposed deletion is only for non-controversial topics. Has at least the minimum three sources necessary for a prima facie case of notability. The concept, if not the name, is used extensively in The Discourse." Bearian (talk) 18:00, 28 February 2026 (UTC)

@Bearian: Got it, thanks. What does The Discourse refer to in this case? Bridget (talk) 18:11, 28 February 2026 (UTC)
It's a meme about pundits. See here. Bearian (talk) 20:51, 28 February 2026 (UTC)

How interesting

Not on front page anymore but still interesting ―Howard🌽33 15:26, 14 March 2026 (UTC)

@Howardcorn33: haha, thanks! totally expected to hear that based on how much I relied on his interviews. Bridget (talk) 16:00, 14 March 2026 (UTC)
In replies to that post they also complained that "a lot of this information is *deeply* inaccurate" but didn't specify what it was. Article appears well-cited so I don't know what I would do here. ―Howard🌽33 16:03, 14 March 2026 (UTC)
Yep, I agree. I'm assuming it's because Nelson has been inconsistent about recalling his life details in interviews over the years. Maybe he can tweet some corrections that can be used. Bridget (talk) 16:13, 14 March 2026 (UTC)
