Orange

Thank you for your correction to my error. The text originally said France and I 'corrected' it, mistakenly believing it to be vandalism. My feeble excuse is that it should have been linked to Principality of Orange. Well spotted. --Red King (talk) 23:12, 22 February 2020 (UTC)

Aargh, my feeble excuse is even more feeble than I thought because the link is there. Exit stage left, pursued by bear. --Red King (talk) 23:14, 22 February 2020 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited List of rivers of Europe, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Don. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ  Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

The Great Deflation

I think we should merge the article into Long Depression. I don't want to get into an edit war about such a minor topic, but I feel that would be a good ATD. Bearian (talk) 21:34, 7 February 2026 (UTC)

Hi, Brian,
I added a comment to the article talk page articulating my reasons for requesting a simple deletion without a redirect or the formality of a merge process. As far as I can tell, the cited sources and related claims in the article already appear in one or both "Long Depression" and "Deflation". A search will find the "Deflation" article readily enough and that article covers periods of deflation comparatively.
Whether a redirect makes sense is a question of whether Wikipedia endorses "The Great Deflation" as a reference to the period, 1870-90. I don't think Wikipedia should be endorsing a peculiar usage, without strong source citations. Otherwise, Wikipedia is just contributing to AI slop. BruceW07 (talk) 22:11, 14 February 2026 (UTC)
That's appropriate, BruceW07. Bearian (talk) 22:13, 14 February 2026 (UTC)
