Thanks for reverting to the pre-dispute version of the lede. I think that will go a long way toward a solution that is a consensus rather than a mere compromise.
A clarification on policy if I may. WP:3RR is a bright-line threshold for blocking parties in an edit war. It does not mean that editing behavior which falls under that threshold is not edit-warring. After all, one could revert twice in 24 hours, and on the 25th revert again and not technically run afoul of 3RR. This is a common tactic, and is an example of WP:GAMING; the behavior is still manifest, and still antithetical to collaborative editing even though the letter of the law is not being violated. (And if you think about it, a subversion that is not unlike the topic of this article.) WP:BRD is almost always the best thing to do unless the edit you're reverting is on the list of exceptions given in WP:NOT3RR. Xan747 (talk) 03:33, 17 September 2025 (UTC)
