Hello user 73.10.46.231, Thank you for your interest in AMC cars! Based on the photos I have uploaded to Wikipedia Commons, I can offer some guesses about the paint color. However, I cannot be 100% certain because none of those cars is mine.

In 1967, American Motors offered a range of blue finishes. The specific shade on the cars in the photos would be one of the following, listed from the darkest to the lightest, along with the factory paint code:

• Royal Blue (P33A)
• Barbados Blue (P32A)
• Stato Blue (P31A)

I would recommend checking original sample paint code sheets, such as available via the link here.

For reference, two different 1967 Ambassador DPL convertibles are shown. One has the optional optional "Satin-Chrome" lower bodyside trim and features customized five spoke "Magnum 500" road wheels and the other has the standard rocker panel and full wheel opening stainless steel trim with later model AMC alloy road wheels. I have also uploaded a 1967 Rebel SST convertible, which features a matching blue interior.

My dad owned one just like that bought new in Chicago that year. Wasn’t fast enough. Had a 3/4 race cam installed with other gear such as twin, tuned straight pipe exhaust. Andy Granatelli did the work at his “speed shop” in Chicago. 0-60 in 5 seconds. Very quick at the time. Top speed 143 mph. Speed limits existed only within municipalities.
