New pages patrol January–February 2026 Backlog drive

January–February 2026 Backlog Drive | New pages patrol

New Pages Patrol is hosting a one-time, two-month experimental backlog drive aimed at reducing the backlog. This will be a combo drive: both articles and redirects will earn points.

  • The drive will run from 1 January to 28 February 2026.
  • The drive is divided into two phases. Participants may take part in either phase or across both phases, depending on availability.
  • Barnstars will be awarded based on the number of articles and redirects patrolled during the drive.
  • Two-month drive-exclusive barnstars will be awarded to eligible participants.
  • Each article review earns 1 point, while each redirect review earns 0.2 points.
  • Streak awards will be granted based on consistently meeting weekly point thresholds.
  • Barnstars will also be awarded for re-reviewing articles previously reviewed by other patrollers during the drive.
  • Interested in participating? Sign up here.

INKA rolling stock edits

Hi! Thanks for the edits. :) There was a lot of INKA probably because I took it from the same website, which is the official INKA website. Resulting in it to generate automatically. SomeLoreDude (talk) 16:44, 30 December 2025 (UTC)

I don't think it's that difficult to type the title manually. Ckfasdf (talk) 01:26, 31 December 2025 (UTC)
Yeah I'll do that next time. SomeLoreDude (talk) 02:07, 31 December 2025 (UTC)

Edit summaries

Information icon Hi @Ckfasdf, I noticed that one or more recent edits you made at Nyepi did not include an edit summary. Collaboration among editors is fundamental to Wikipedia, and every edit should be explained by a clear edit summary, or by discussion on the talk page. Please use the edit summary field to explain your reasoning for an edit and/or to describe what it changes. Summaries save time for other editors and reduce the chances that your edit will be misunderstood. Additionally, when reverting another user's edit, it is particularly important to provide an explanation, in the spirit of courtesy and collegiality. Cheers! Revirvlkodlaku (talk) 04:14, 3 January 2026 (UTC)

@Revirvlkodlaku: Nowadays, I always make sure to write an edit summary. However, because I often edit using my mobile phone and the edit summary can only be added after the edit is completed, I accidentally clicked publish without filling in the edit summary on that edit. This is much less likely to happen when I edit from my laptop. Ckfasdf (talk) 06:05, 3 January 2026 (UTC)

Lucky Air KMG-CGK

Hello @Ckfasdf regarding your edit that this route is regular/scheduled and not charter in this page https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Soekarno%E2%80%93Hatta_International_Airport, is there any supporting fact/source/article about it? Since I couldn't find any KMG-CGK vv direct flights on any booking systems. Thanks Hakuna Zar (talk) 18:12, 11 January 2026 (UTC)

@Hakuna Zar: First, according to the source I provided, Lucky Air flight 8L833 departed Kunming for Jakarta at 21:15 on 18 December 2025, and the report explicitly states that the Kunming–Jakarta passenger route, which had been suspended since April of the previous year, officially resumed operation. Second, flight-tracking data record consistent flight numbers for this route, namely 8L833 (Kunming–Jakarta) and 8L834 (Jakarta–Kunming). The use of fixed flight numbers in public tracking systems is typical of scheduled commercial services, whereas charter flights are usually irregular and not consistently tracked. Ckfasdf (talk) 21:21, 11 January 2026 (UTC)
Maybe the reason you couldn't find any KMG–CGK vv direct flights on booking systems is that the route currently operates only once per week and you just picked the wrong day. Nevertheless, it is still a scheduled service rather than a charter flight. Ckfasdf (talk) 21:51, 11 January 2026 (UTC)
Thanks for the explanations. Another reason why would I ask about this flight status is because as of yesterday, I didn't find Jakarta/CGK on their list of destinations on the airline's official website (www.luckyair.net), which would normally appear on any airline's booking systems when it comes to regular flights Hakuna Zar (talk) 10:11, 12 January 2026 (UTC)

I have sent you a note about a page you started

Hi Ckfasdf. Thank you for your work on All Indonesia Arrival Card. Another editor, SunDawn, has reviewed it as part of new pages patrol and left the following comment:

Thank you for taking the time to write this article! Your contributions are greatly appreciated. Have a blessed day!

Ahmad Farhan Mohd Sadullah

I think you made a mistake. Ahmad Farhan Mohd Sadullah is the equivalent of a university president, which is presumed notable. Also you stated that the article has zero sources, while it has three sources. If you wish, you may take the issue to WP:AfD. Bearian (talk) 00:35, 24 January 2026 (UTC)

SimpleFlying

In 2023, you led a call to re-evaluate whether Simple Flying references are allowed. Now is 2026.

I did not participate in 2023, mainly because I was preoccupied with school and financial matters related to both of my parents passing away. There may be merit for inclusion or cautious inclusion of Simple Flying. I have read some of their articles and do not find significant bias or inaccuracy based on my sample size.

Do you believe that a re-evaluation may be warranted given that the last review was in 2023? Vanguard10 (talk) 23:33, 31 January 2026 (UTC)

@Vanguard10: Did I? In any case, the most recent re-evaluation was in September 2025, and the consensus at that time was to deprecate Simple Flying. If you think the situation has changed, you are welcome to start a new re-evaluation at WP:RSN. Ckfasdf (talk) 01:03, 1 February 2026 (UTC)
Thank you for your reply and the September 2025 discussion. Several people don't like it. However, no specific examples are given about false information in any Simple Flying article. That would really help. Vanguard10 (talk) 20:12, 1 February 2026 (UTC)

Jesus Jeffrey Grapa

I added a couple of sources. The subject seems to be an up-and-coming general. I'm still not convinced that he's definitely notable, but if this were at AfD, I would !vote a weak delete. Bearian (talk) 04:46, 2 February 2026 (UTC)

He still is a junior flag officer, and under WP:TOOSOON, future career prospects cant be used to establish notability. The article can be recreated if he later attains a higher position that brings more coverage. Ckfasdf (talk) 04:58, 2 February 2026 (UTC)

January–February 2026 NPP drive - Phase 2

NPP unreviewed article statistics as of February 02, 2026

Welcome to Phase 2 of the January–February 2026 NPP drive. During Phase 1, we reviewed 16,658 articles and 4,416 redirects, and there is currently a backlog of 16,475 articles and 23,782 redirects in the queue. Fantastic job! Completing 22,502 patrols in the first phase made a significant dent in the backlog. Let's keep our foot on the gas for Phase 2, and I hope we can achieve even more reviews than Phase 1. Best of luck!

Article references

Thank you for your referencing edit on Qurain, Kuwait. I was puzzled as I didn't see you commenting. I then saw the WP:MAR26 mention. I love all things history and have some disdain for AI. While great, it is really about advertising revenue, which muddies the waters on cross-country searches. I open a multitude of tabs in searches and often hit walls. I withdrew my "Delete" vote because I would rather have seen the title at Iraqi invasion of Kuwait#Resistance and legitimacy for the battle, or "Al-Qurain Martyrs Museum" over deletion. Again, thanks for your involvement in the references and the MAR26 project. -- Otr500 (talk) 17:49, 21 March 2026 (UTC)
