Dennis Loughran moved to draftspace

An article you recently created, Dennis Loughran, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Boleyn (talk) 17:40, 15 March 2024 (UTC)

I understand clearly, Boleyn. This is just my first article that I created, and I am just trying to learn the basics. But I clearly understand that it's not suitable as written, since it's just a draft. Clay2004 (talk) 17:46, 15 March 2024 (UTC)

Please do not

Restore content of poor articles that fail WP:GNG as you've done at Percy the Small Engine or One Coarse Meal. Those have been redirected for a reason (failing GNG, lack of references - WP:V, etc.). If you restore such articles, please add referenced academic analysis, reception section, and like. You can see how I rescued (restored) article on Talk:Yoruichi_Shihōin#Notability, for example - note quality sources have been added to show this meets GNG. Movies, Games and Tech may not be reliable, while Gamereactor is potentially unreliable. Better sources would be needed to declare it notable, and sourcing the gameplay would help too.

Uploading spoken articles on Commons

Hey Clay2004! I posted something like this to the Spoken Wikipedia talk page, but no one has responded in two months, so I just want anyone's opinion on this. On the Spoken Wikipedia guidelines, it tells you to use link_to_recorded_version= at the bottom of the file description, but I feel like it could be made less cluttered by using oldid= instead. If you want to compare between our most recent file uploads, you can definitely see a difference at the top. Just wanted your opinion, should the guidelines be changed?
