I noticed that you have communicated with other editors in a language other than English. At the English-language Wikipedia, we try to use English for all comments and edit summaries. Posting all comments in English makes it easier for other editors to join the conversation and help you. If you cannot avoid using another language, then please provide a translation into English, if you can. If you cannot provide a translation, please go to the list of Wikipedias, look in the list for a Wikipedia that is in your language, and edit there instead of here. For more details, see Wikipedia:Talk page guidelines. Thank you. TylerBurden (talk) 21:51, 9 January 2026 (UTC)
- @TylerBurden What is this regarding? I don't believe that I have ever written a comment in a language other than English. CodeTalker (talk) 21:56, 9 January 2026 (UTC)
- Not what this is about, it's about you changing English variations on articles to others versions, in your case, American English, despite there already being an established variant. TylerBurden (talk) 22:02, 9 January 2026 (UTC)
- I see; you used {{uw-notenglishtalk}} instead of the correct template {{uw-engvar}}.You haven't provided diffs, but I guess this is related to my reverting 8 edits by User:Nailujon yesterday in which they changed articles from US English to British English. The first six of these were WP:ENGVAR violations by Nailujon, but I got careless and assumed that all of their edits which changed English variants were similar violations. I didn't notice that in the last two (Sweden and Norway), they actually correctly fixed inconsistent usage, so the versions I reverted to were wrong, and had been for some time (since 5 April 2024 in the case of Sweden, and since 25 January 2025 in the case of Norway). Thanks for pointing that out. CodeTalker (talk) 22:45, 9 January 2026 (UTC)

Discussion on List of best-selling books
I've started a discussion on talk:List of best-selling books under the heading "Blanket ban on "books of a religious, ideological, philosophical or political nature"" that you may be interested in. DervotNum4 (talk) 22:33, 9 January 2026 (UTC)
Golden Age of animation
you said that golden age ended in the late-60s, but because of terrytoons, Walter lantz, and dfe films, this is false information. Please reply. Mickey Mouse Fan 123456 (talk) 02:10, 11 January 2026 (UTC)
Barney Fife
I was disappointed to see that you reverted my edit about Barney Fife. There is an episode where Barney didn't see something that happened in the barber shop because as he said, he was looking at the geographic magazine. When Andy asked him what it was about, Barney could only say Africa. Back in the fifties and sixties National Geographic was well known to include photos of naked native women. Jokes about that were a common trope of comedy shows. Flip Wilson once said that National Geographic was the soul brother’s Playboy. In those days barber shops routinely displayed copies of Playboy, but in Mayberry, the National Geographic was as risqué as they would have been allowed to get. When Barney just answered with the one word “Africa” that was a strong hint to those in the know, that he had been looking at naked natives. Tupelo the typo fixer (talk) 16:18, 12 January 2026 (UTC)
- @Tupelo the typo fixer Yes, I'm aware of all that, but the question is whether his predilection for such magazines is a notable characteristic, on a par with the other qualities discussed in the Characterization section, such as his smugness, self-importance, officiousness, etc. All the things discussed in that section are substantial parts of his character, developed and displayed over many episodes. The magazine thing was a one-off joke that appeared in one short scene in one episode, and therefore doesn't merit mention in the Characterization section, IMO. Even in-universe, the fact that he was once looking at a magazine doesn't justify a statement that "enjoyed looking at" them. If you feel otherwise, feel free to open a discussion about it on the article's talk page so other editors can weigh in. CodeTalker (talk) 16:42, 12 January 2026 (UTC)

My edits to the Iran article and other articles!
@CodeTalker Hi, Please see the Persian article on Iran and Mina vahid! This content has sources. What resources can I give you to restore the content you removed from the articles? I have a lot of resources, most of which is in Persian. ایوب صادقی (talk) 08:38, 17 February 2026 (UTC)
- @ایوب صادقی, Wikipedia articles in any language are not reliable sources; see WP:CIRCULAR. You also cited a blog rezavasta.blogfa.com; blogs are also not reliable sources; see WP:BLOG. You would need sources that conform to WP:RS. I would also like to see the content written better; phrases like "meaning is perpetually deferred" and "the expression of truth is postponed" make little sense to me and I honestly don't know what the text is trying to say. Finally, inserting the exact same text into many different articles suggests that there hasn't been an attempt to make the content relevant to each article, but rather that the intention is just to distribute the text as widely as possible. For example, whatever this text means, it seems of little relevance to the Persian language article, which is about the grammatical structure of the Persian language. CodeTalker (talk) 16:55, 17 February 2026 (UTC)
- @CodeTalker Hello, good day. I have various sources about this book that I will soon share with you on this same page. I think that because you are not very familiar with Persian language and literature, understanding the content is a bit difficult for you. The author of this book, by writing it, has brought about a great revolution in Persian language and literature, and is the originator of this style, creating a period of deconstruction in Iran's Persian language and literature. Mina Vahid, a prominent Iranian cinema actress, also became famous through a theater performance named after this book. I will send you other sources, and please revise the content I added in whatever way you deem appropriate and include it in the articles. Do you agree with this approach? ایوب صادقی (talk) 04:48, 18 February 2026 (UTC)
- @CodeTalker [1][2][3][4][5][6][7][8][9] Here are the new resources I promised you. Please replace any sources you don't approve of with these. Thank you very much.🌷 ایوب صادقی (talk) 05:37, 18 February 2026 (UTC)
Thank you
Hi Code talker, thank you for correcting me on The Last Thanksgiving after reading the guidelines about external links I do completely understand how the added links were inappropriate (sorry first day), however I think the internal link to Erick Lorinc should remain.
Thank you for helping me be more informed. Judas34 (talk) 02:40, 27 February 2026 (UTC)
- @Judas34, the film The Last Thanksgiving was written by Erick Lorinc. You linked that name to Ericka Lorenz, an article about female water polo player who is a completely different person from Erick Lorinc. Wikipedia does not appear to have an article about Erick Lorinc. I noticed that you made a similar error in a couple of other edits, where you linked a name to a completely unrelated topic, such as here, where you linked the Canadian organization
the Business Council on National Issues
to the article The Business Council, which is about a US organization based in Washington DC, and here, where you linked the non-specific phraseadopted by an American family
to the article An American Family, about a 1973 TV documentary. Please be careful that when you create a link, that the target article is actually related to the use of the phrase in the source article, and is not just a coincidental use of the same words. Thank you. CodeTalker (talk) 03:26, 27 February 2026 (UTC)
