Hi. While I agree with your nomination, I think you're bludgeoning the discussion. It's usually best to make your argument then walk away rather than to try to convince your opponents that you're right. Your note to the closer is also unhelpful and comes across as patronisingany admin should already know that. Best, HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 15:46, 21 March 2026 (UTC)

Thanks, thank you for the bit about the note to closer (my main concern was that merging was not considered in the nomination and a WP:NACD would misinterpret it) but it's not that I'm trying to convince my opponents that I am right more than it's that I'm engaging in good-faith policy discussion with other people who are then continuing to engage in discussion (e.g.) and I hold the opinion we should encourage discussion on Wikipedia (we do not all have to agree, though). apologies

I had not detected that user:InktasticMagic had mangled your initiated article and made it weaker so you can give me a trout. With regard to the current issue where we disagree, the Wikipedia community has agreed that the encyclopedia is not an indiscriminate collection of information or a news service. The outbreak will meet the criteria of lasting, historical significance, in our ever greater understanding of meningitis B, the nightclub where it happened will not.
