Feb 2026 WP:REDIRECT deletion requests - other admin has written that most of 'em are OK?

@ColorfulSmoke and Rosguill: Hi ColorfulSmoke - in your Feb 2026 editing you have asked that a number of WP:REDIRECT-s that you created in previous years to be deleted as pages you made that you now request to be deleted. I'm happy to do this, sort of out of the "WP:RFR process", but I do note that another admin has written that most of 'em are OK. Just a heads up. Pete AU aka Shirt58 (talk) 🦘 09:11, 15 February 2026 (UTC) So, what next

I was also reviewing your request to delete all the Chevrolet Impala and Corvette redirects. These actually seem to be useful redirects. May I ask for your reason in deleting them? As an FYI, just b/c the author of of articles requests WP:G7 speedy delete doesn't mean an administrator has to grant the deletion, especially if the redirects appear useful. SouthernNights (talk) 21:16, 16 February 2026 (UTC)
I'm not sure exactly what's happening since I can't see the deleted userpages but, by my reading of U1, these should not have been deleted as they are not pages that have previously been moved [where] all previous titles were in the user's userspace (pinging @Spencer and @KylieTastic as deleting admins). In total, a large number of pages link to these redirects, which are now broken. @Shirt58 and @SouthernNights: is there any reason that's I'm missing to not undelete and move back as below per BRD?
Since we're here now, I'm sure the original actions qualify as a potentially controversial moves. Thanks, UpTheOctave!  8va? 14:45, 19 February 2026 (UTC)
UpTheOctave!, you're correct I had not noticed that the pages had been moved from mainspace to userspace then deletion asked for. Frankly deceptive beahviour. Yes these should be undeleted and moved back. KylieTastic (talk) 15:19, 19 February 2026 (UTC)
All done. KylieTastic (talk) 15:27, 19 February 2026 (UTC)
Many thanks as always, KT. UpTheOctave!  8va? 15:42, 19 February 2026 (UTC)
Thanks KylieTastic, I had not noticed this as well; an oversight on my part. SpencerT•C 22:20, 19 February 2026 (UTC)

ColorfulSmoke, the first time could be taken as an honest mistake but doing the same action a second time after Hey man im josh had moved them back is not OK in the slightest. If you thought that these should have been deleted you should have used Wikipedia:Redirects for discussion.

Do not move existing articles including redirects from mainspace to your userspace. Doing so again is likely will result in a block. KylieTastic (talk) 15:37, 19 February 2026 (UTC)
