Mass welcome messages

Hello CommanderF1, I saw that you are mass-welcoming users with almost always zero edits. I want to inform you that this is most likely pointless as many, many accounts created a day never become active. In addition to that, new users tend to go and aks the first person that they meet, which would be you in this case, you, and it isn't exacly helpfull if the welcomer is themself a newbie. You may want to look at Wikipedia:Welcoming committee for more information about welcoming new users. Victor Schmidt (talk) 11:44, 2 June 2020 (UTC)

Sure, Noted your points. CommanderF1 (talk) 14:58, 7 June 2020 (UTC)
That still applies. Note that 79.1% of all your edits have been to user talk pages so far, so I wouldn't wonder if someone might bring up a WP:NOTHERE argument soon. I suggest that you pick one of the many things that can be done here, including, but not limited to:
And probbably more. 217.68.167.73 (talk) 12:26, 22 June 2020 (UTC)

A7 speedy

Hi, just to say that I declined your speedy request on a few schools. The A7 criterion does not apply to educational institutions, and most of them were not promotional enough to qualify for G11 either.

If you come across other school articles which you feel don't demonstrate notability, you may search for better sources, and if you cannot find them, you can then consider opening an AFD discussion.

I did accept G11 on The King's School, Goa, which was laughably promotional, although even there I did consider cleaning it up instead, but since the sources weren't much use I would have had to pare it down to a stub, which didn't seem worth it, especially as notability would still have been at best borderline. I just did the same thing, CommanderF1. The next time you request speedy deletion, you might want to give the CSD you're applying a closer look. Chess enjoyer (talk) 08:23, 12 March 2026 (UTC)
