Merely (definition)
Hi CostalCal. I wanted to let you know that I removed the CSD tag you placed on the above redirect. This is not a typo or misnomer, so it's ineligible for R3. Feel free to take it to RFD if you still want this deleted. Chess enjoyer (talk) 05:32, 4 March 2026 (UTC)
- Wikipedia isn't a dictionary. I can't tag that on page curation. CostalCal (talk) 06:28, 4 March 2026 (UTC)
- It doesn't qualify for R2 either, because both the redirect and its target are in mainspace. You might be right that this shouldn't exist, but the place to argue that is at RFD, because it doesn't seem to meet any of the criteria for speedy deletion. Chess enjoyer (talk) 22:56, 6 March 2026 (UTC)

- Thank you for helping me with the speedy deletion discussion at RFD. CostalCal (talk) 22:47, 7 March 2026 (UTC)
- You're welcome. I just wish I had known that the target was eligible for G4 earlier. We could have avoided all of this if I had. (then again, see Wikipedia:Redirects for discussion/Log/2026 March 7#Merely. I'm not sure what to do with that.) Chess enjoyer (talk) 22:55, 7 March 2026 (UTC)
New page reviewer granted

Hi CostalCal, I just wanted to let you know that I have added the new page reviewer user right to your account. This means you now have access to the page curation tools and can start patrolling pages from the new pages feed. If you asked for this at requests for permissions, please check back there to see if your access is time-limited or if there are other comments.
This is a good time to re-acquaint yourself with the guidance at Wikipedia:New pages patrol. Before you get started, please take the time to:
- Add Wikipedia talk:New pages patrol/Reviewers to your watchlist to follow NPP-related discussions
- If you use Twinkle, configure it to log your CSDs and PRODs
- If you can read any languages other than English, add yourself to the list of reviewers with language proficiencies
You can find a list of other useful links and tools for patrollers at Wikipedia:New pages patrol/Resources. If you are ever unsure what to do, ask your fellow patrollers or just leave the page for someone else to review – you're not alone! signed, Rosguill talk 20:02, 6 March 2026 (UTC)
Declined speedy
Hello. You're probably right that at least some AI assistence was used for the cyber article about Iran, but WP:G15 is quite limited. There must be faked references or communications for the reader. Please have a look at the exact wording. I find one reference where the title didn't quite correspond, but online news sometimes changes titles and one example isn't enough. —Femke 🐦 (talk) 21:20, 6 March 2026 (UTC)

Redirects from alternative languages
Hi, CostalCal! I'm ArcticSeeress. I wanted to thank you for your work on redirects you've done recently, but I also wanted to provide some feedback. When you add the template {{R from alternative language}}, I would appreciate if you added which languages they redirect from and to, such as {{R from alternative language|mi|en}} for Te Horokōau (i.e. from Maori to English). This prevents the page from being added to Category:Redirects from undetermined-language terms, which currently has a backlog of over a thousand pages that I've been working on over the past few years. Thank you. ArcticSeeress (talk) 11:23, 12 March 2026 (UTC)
