ArbCom 2025 Elections voter message
Hello! Voting in the 2025 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 1 December 2025. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.
The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
If you wish to participate in the 2025 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:37, 18 November 2025 (UTC)
I have sent you a note about a page you started
Hi D. Benjamin Miller. Thank you for your work on Justin Willard. Another editor, Mariamnei, has reviewed it as part of new pages patrol and left the following comment:
Thank you for your work on this article. Unfortunately, it is not yet ready for main space. Please add more sources - primarily secondary sources - and establish notability as per WP:SPORTBASIC. I will be moving it to draft space. Please feel free to republish once it meets the above criteria. Thanks and have a wonderful day!
To reply, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|Mariamnei}}. (Message delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.)
Gilbert Gomez moved to draftspace
Thanks for your contributions to Gilbert Gomez. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.
Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit the draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Hey man im josh (talk) 17:18, 20 November 2025 (UTC)
Upscaled image policy
Hi, did you take your pump proposal about upscaled images any further, anywhere else, after it got archived? I mentioned it at WP:IUP last month and got a response that it "should likely be added" to the image use policy. Belbury (talk) 18:07, 28 November 2025 (UTC)
- No, I didn't have the time to do so, and wasn't sure exactly where to go about it not being formally closed. I wasn't uninvolved (of course — it was my proposal!) but I would agree that the consensus was strongly in favor of teh rule, so I would have no qualms about adding this rule to WP:AIGI. I'm not sure if I can/should do that myself, or if I should leave it to someone else. D. Benjamin Miller (talk) 18:25, 28 November 2025 (UTC)
- You should not do it yourself, but on the WP:AIGI Talk page, you should propose the exact edit you think ought to be made, together with your argument/links/evidence etc. The more concise the proposal, the more likely you will get responses and a consensus either to do it or not. You can ping all the people who participated in the previous discussion as long as you ping everyone who both supported and opposed the proposal (or otherwise participated in the discussion) -- Ssilvers (talk) 19:06, 28 November 2025 (UTC)
