A barnstar for you!

The Tireless Contributor Barnstar
Thanks for your efforts expanding articles on women in science/academia, great work and very much needed! You might want to consider nominating some of your articles for Wikipedia:Did you know, this would allow them to appear on the front page and have increased visibility - you can do this here. Ivar the Boneful (talk) 16:23, 2 October 2021 (UTC)
Aw, thanks! @Ivar the Boneful:. I will consider Wikipedia:Did you know as a way to increase visibility. Some of these women are remarkable.--DaffodilOcean (talk) 17:25, 2 October 2021 (UTC)

Thank you for your efforts to rescue abandoned drafts! S0091 (talk) 19:42, 15 January 2022 (UTC)

S0091 - Thanks for the recognition. I am enjoying going through these pages. There are plenty of notable people in there, with varying degrees of work needed to get the pages ready for the mainspace. DaffodilOcean (talk) 20:19, 15 January 2022 (UTC)

You should consider becoming an AfC reviewer at some point so you can catch some of them before they are abandoned. I know having a COI is tricky but I know we have at least one other reviewer with a COI and as long as you do not accept your drafts, it is likely fine. Although, not all drafts are submitted which is worrisome. Also, you might want to reach out to DGG for some tips/tricks in finding drafts as he also trudges through abandoned drafts and has a focus on academics. Regardless, you do great work for Wikipedia. Thank you!

Hello, DaffodilOcean,

I just wanted to thank you for keeping an eye on expiring drafts. I do a lot of work with drafts that are edging towards the six month mark and I've noticed you delaying deletion on ones you think are promising. This is amazing to me as you often pay more attention to these drafts than the editors who created them one day and then abandoned them. It's hard enough to get editors to finish up their drafts much less expect other editors to spend time working on other people's drafts. But I can see from notices on your User talk page that some of these have found their way into main space which is awesome. Thanks for spending time working with promising drafts that would ordinarily just be deleted. It's appreciated! Liz Read! Talk! 03:00, 22 October 2023 (UTC)

There are some interesting people in the set of expiring drafts, and I enjoy broadening my horizons by working on people I might otherwise not encounter.
On a practical note, I browse through SDZeroBot's reports to see what will be deleted soon. I keep my focus on women as my goal here is to increase the number of articles on women. If I miss someone you think has promise, feel free to send the details my way. DaffodilOcean (talk) 06:35, 23 October 2023 (UTC)
