Boughrood Castle
Hi. I saw your recent edit on the Boughrood Castle page. You removed a tag called "coord missing". Could you explain what this means please; I understand it has something to do with the sites geodata? Thanks. Mac Edmunds (talk) 12:56, 11 January 2026 (UTC)
- @Mac Edmunds: There's a bot that puts a {{coord missing}} tag on any new location article that lacks geographic coordinates. That tag puts the article into a hidden category that lists articles needing someone to add coordinates to them. When someone then adds the coordinates to the article, as I did at Boughrood Castle, he or she removes the tag so that the article is no longer so categorized. Deor (talk) 13:59, 11 January 2026 (UTC)
- Ahh. Thanks for that. Mac Edmunds (talk) 16:13, 11 January 2026 (UTC)
- Hi @Deor. Would you be able to add an interactive map to a draft for the Tredegar Estates Office that I'm currently working on? The coordinates can be found on Wikidata here. Mac Edmunds (talk) 19:53, 12 January 2026 (UTC)
Done. Deor (talk) 20:01, 12 January 2026 (UTC)
- Thank you very much. Mac Edmunds (talk) 20:13, 12 January 2026 (UTC)

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Regarding your recent edits to China Bible Seminary when you modified the page, you introduced unknown parameters. Just because you specify |some_param=some_variable does not always mean that variable will display. The |some_param= must be defined in the template. You can look at the documentation for the template you are using but it is also helpful to use the preview button before you save your edit; this helps you find any errors you have made and ensure that the values you have added are displaying correctly. Below the edit box is a Show preview button. Pressing this will show you what the page will look like without actually saving it. It is strongly recommended that you use this before saving. Note I have likely fixed the error by now so check the history of the page to see how it was fixed. If you have any questions, contact the help desk for assistance.

Traditional estimates of the end of the Renaissance according to the Wikipedia article on the Renaissance
This is from Wikipedia's article on the Renaissance:
"The Renaissance period started during the crisis of the Late Middle Ages and conventionally ends with the waning of humanism, and the advent of the Reformation (1517), the Sack of Rome (1527) or the Counter-Reformation (1545), and in art, the Baroque period."
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Renaissance#Period Kirsten Jørgensdatter (talk) 01:26, 30 January 2026 (UTC)
- @Kirsten Jørgensdatter: Renaissance also says, in its first sentence, that the Renaissance is "very roughly defined as covering the 14th through 17th centuries", which would include Galileo's lifespan. As that article makes clear, various historians have defined the period in various ways. Since one of the sources cited in Galileo Galilei is a book titled Renaissance Genius: Galileo Galilei & His Legacy to Modern Science, it's clear that some folks, at least, consider him a Renaissance figure. Deor (talk) 02:20, 30 January 2026 (UTC)
- Everyone agrees that Galileo is one of the key figures of the Scientific Revolution so one way of discussing this issue is whether you think the Scientific Revolution was part of the Renaissance or whether it was a sharp reaction against (or, even, an outright rejection of) the main intellectual currents of the Renaissance.
- The Renaissance: literally "Rebirth" (rediscovery) of Greek learning and culture; reverence for ancient wisdom
- The Scientific Revolution: obsessed with new ideas and evidence; discovery (and getting credit for discovery); and "Progress"
- The Renaissance: humanism
- The Scientific Revolution: mathematization of nature Kirsten Jørgensdatter (talk) 16:18, 30 January 2026 (UTC)

At least one diff per area expanded into should be cited.
- Voting in the 2026 Steward elections started on 06 February 2026 at 14:00 (UTC) and will end on 27 February 2026 at 14:00 (UTC). The confirmation process for current stewards is being held in parallel. You can automatically check your eligibility to vote.
Sorry I missed that one
I saw you commented out the coordinates. I think on that one I accidentally disabled default sort instead. Late Night Coffee (talk) 18:07, 12 February 2026 (UTC)

Your edits are becoming disruptive. You have been warned multiple times about the need to use preview to check your edits, yet you continue to introduce unknown parameters into articles. You did this again at Christ the Saviour Cathedral, Taichung when you modified the page, you once again did this. If you continue your disruptive editing, you may find yourself blocked from editing. Please take the time to review your edits moving forward. Zackmann (Talk to me/What I been doing) 05:30, 26 February 2026 (UTC)
