Welcome!
Hello, Doeze, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, your edit to List of countries with overseas military bases does not conform to Wikipedia's Neutral Point of View policy (NPOV). Wikipedia articles should refer only to facts and interpretations that have been stated in print or on reputable websites or other forms of media.
There's a page about the NPOV policy that has tips on how to effectively write about disparate points of view without compromising the NPOV status of the article as a whole. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! File:Omnic Crisis Sydney.jpg

Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for calculation the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. RonBot (talk) 17:09, 16 September 2018 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free image File:Omnic Crisis Sydney.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:Omnic Crisis Sydney.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 02:40, 18 September 2018 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Dajare, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Kuru (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

metropolitan reversal
Hello! I see that you created this redirect page. I'm interested in this issue, would you give citation to it? I couldn't find anything on the net about it, all seem to be copies of the wikipedia mention. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 85.66.250.41 (talk) 14:39, 23 April 2022 (UTC)
- You're correct it does seem to stem from this mention. There is also little mention of the Portuguese phrase "reversão metropolitana". I took it from the phrase in the lead section, which dates back to the creation of the article in 2009 by User:Calliopejen1. Doeze (talk) 22:11, 23 April 2022 (UTC)

Copying within Wikipedia requires attribution
Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Mach number into Hypersonic speed. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. Please provide attribution for this duplication if it has not already been supplied by another editor, and if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, you should provide attribution for that also. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. — Diannaa (talk) 14:06, 3 August 2024 (UTC)

You have been reverted now discuss. Slatersteven (talk) 14:28, 4 August 2025 (UTC)
- I think leaving the article as it is is misleading, because discussing all US and Russian sharing without mentioning the UK leaves the mistaken impression, especially to readers at a glance, that no sharing occurs there. At the very least it should be included as a separate sentence. The ambiguity in the title "List of states with nuclear weapons" requires discussion of these issues, and the UK being the only "state with nuclear weapons" in both aspects of the phrase seems very relevant to the lead. Introduction to contentious topics
You have recently edited a page related to the Balkans or Eastern Europe, a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.
A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia's norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have an expanded level of powers and discretion in order to reduce disruption to the project.
Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:
- adhere to the purposes of Wikipedia;
- comply with all applicable policies and guidelines;
- follow editorial and behavioural best practices;
- comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
- refrain from gaming the system.
Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures, you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.

Speedy deletion nomination of File:Embassy of China, Belgrade, following US bombing, May 8, 1999.webp

A tag has been placed on File:Embassy of China, Belgrade, following US bombing, May 8, 1999.webp requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a non-free file from a commercial source (e.g. Associated Press, Getty Images), where the file itself is not the subject of sourced commentary. If you can explain why the file can be used under the non-free content guidelines, please add the appropriate non-free use tag and rationale.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. tjd (he) T/C 03:08, 4 March 2026 (UTC)
Apologies for a small oversight
As you no doubt already know, the sentence in the article Hirohito that we discussed these past few days has been edited, as agreed in the talk page. This message is solely to explain that I understood Emiya1980 to have requested the change of the word "extent" to "degree," and to use the same word throughout the sentence, although it seems the request was to swap the order of the two words (please note that English is not my native language, and upon reading the request to change "extent" to "degree," I interpreted it as I just explained). This small oversight has been corrected, but I thought it appropriate to apologize to both of you. Best regards. Ulises Laertíada (talk) 05:18, 8 March 2026 (UTC)
Overlinking
Hi, for future reference, please refrain from wikilinking nationality in the lede, as you did for Kim Jong Un in this edit. It is discouraged due to MOS:OL, specifically the part where it mentions that "Nationalities, ethnicities or identities (e.g., British, Japanese, Turkish, African American, Nigerian)" should generally not be wikilinked. Thanks. SpyroeBM (talk) 06:11, 10 March 2026 (UTC)
- @SpyroeBM compare Stalin, Mao Zedong, Fidel Castro Doeze (talk) 12:43, 10 March 2026 (UTC)
- @Doeze Okay, what is your point exactly? You linked "North Korean" at the start of the lede, which similar to all examples, the nationality part at the very start of the lede should not be wikilinked. From your example, Mao does not have "Chinese" linked at the start of the lede for reasons relating to MOS:OL. This is common practice across Wikipedia as links to nationality straight of the bat is often distracting and unnecessary. SpyroeBM (talk) 16:20, 10 March 2026 (UTC)

I have sent you a note about a page you started
Hi Doeze. Thank you for your work on Nuclear gravity bomb. Another editor, Klbrain, has reviewed it as part of new pages patrol and left the following comment:
Thanks for creating this page, best seen as a daughter article of Nuclear weapon#Gravity bomb. It is quite short, so there is the question of whether it is better merged for context. However, Nuclear weapon is quite long! The article is clearly written and appropriately structured.

Dongfen DF-4
