Sources needed for Days of the Year pages
You're probably not aware of this change, but Days of the Year pages are no longer exempt from WP:V and direct sources are required for additions. For details see the WikiProject Days of the Year style guide. I've gone ahead and added a source to back up your recent addition to February 14. Please try to find sources for additions to these pages as the burden to provide them is on the editor who adds or restores material to these pages. Thank you. Re:Sockpuppet
To the user who believes I am a sockpuppet- No, I am not a sockpuppet. The reason you think so is because of our constant editing on the List of oldest living people page (our shared interest of gerontology), but this is my only account, and I do not know who owns the Newshunter12 account. However, due to your concern, I will take a break from editing that page. Thanks. Drewsky1211 (talk) 13:18, 30 July 2019 (UTC)
- Drewsky1211, your good nature is being abused by a known troll. If you want a better understanding of the situation read this, this, and this. A long story short, primarily me but also other editors who edit in the longevity sphere are being targeted by a London based IP, who is able to repeatedly change IP's to evade blocks. They have sent vile messages, death threats, and suicide demands to several different editors, vandalized articles, and tried to hack into at least two different editors' accounts. They also seem to love to create conflict between real editors, like you and me, and have repeatedly tried to get me blocked (hence why they said you are my sock). Please don't alter your editing based on this troll's behavior, otherwise they get what they want. Newshunter12 (talk) 15:56, 1 August 2019 (UTC)
- I've removed the baseless accusation from your talk page, and following Newshunter12's comments, I'd also suggest you don't change a thing. -- zzuuzz (talk) 17:12, 1 August 2019 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Deaths in 2020, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page MP (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Your recent work on the deaths per month lists
Hi Drewsky1211, I noticed that you've been busy adding new list articles regarding the monthly deaths (how could I not). Great work considering the speed you're working! You are not adding any references with the entries but this is not an issue since I follow up once you're done, adding references and other entries. About that: due to my holiday I won't be able to do that for a couple of weeks but don't worry; I'll continue once I'm back.
I have a question: how do you select the entries that go on the list? Just wondering.
Another thing: when finalizing an article article you must have some kind of task list by now. F.i. adding a main-tag in a Year page and changing the navigation template. However, I noticed you missed some tasks:
- When completing a year: create a new redirect I created them up to and including 1993
- When completing a year: Change the Lists of deaths by year page (example)
Finally I have two requests that would make my life easier:
- You may have noticed that user Dimadick sometimes creates a list article (f.i. this one, this one and this one). Apparently he/she just copies entries from List of deaths in rock and roll (1990s) after which he is done. I am not sure why he does that. The list is far from being relevant, he uses his own format ('Deaths from') and even worse: he also just copies the references without checking them. The first one I checked was a dead link :(. So could you also check the references (and remove them if necessary) if Dimadick decides to copy-paste a new article?
- The source of the entries I add is Wikidata, not Wikipedia itself. Because of that I regularly encounter discrepancies between these sources regarding the dates of death. Regarding the entries list you would save me a lot of time if you would cross-reference the date of death stated of the entries' Wikipedia bio with the corresponding Wikidata-item. In the article just click on 'Wikidata item' under 'Tools' on the left and scroll down a bit to 'date of death'. Most common reason for the discrepancy is that an editor corrects the death date in a bio but not in the Wikidata item (source ref: Wikipedia). Also WP:SNEAKY vandalism occurs: an editor (always just an IP) just changes a death date. However, Wikidata still stores the correct death date from when the Wikipedia data was imported. That's why I am able to detect this type of vandalism but you will have to look in the revision history of the bio to be certain. example, Wikidataitem. Again, cross-referencing the entries with Wikidata and resolving discrepancies is just a request but it makes the encyclopedia more reliable.
And again, great work and I hope you can work with this. Regards, Mill 1 (talk) 15:28, 6 July 2022 (UTC)
Deaths in December 1989; where does it end?
User Dimadick just created a new deaths list page (Deaths in December 1989) in his usual way (see above). I noticed that after some time you pick up the work of actually adding entries to the new list (after which I add some more and add references to entries). I still have 24 lists (1990 en 1991) to add references to which is a lot of work and will take some time. I think that now you finished the nineties it would be a good point to stop for now so I can catch up. Just leave Deaths in December 1989 as it is. What do you think? Cheers, Mill 1 (talk) 12:42, 18 September 2022 (UTC)

Additions to Deaths in 2022
Hi @Drewsky1211:, can you please include "(death announced on this date)" behind an entry if the source provided does not specify a date of death? I notice you didn't do this for Anthony Whetstone's entry, and that you've done this before in the past. It's important we fight the spread of misinformation whilst keeping that page updated. Thanks! 2024 Republican Party presidential primaries
In regard to the timeline on 2024 Republican Party presidential primaries, why do we need a color for "Withdrawn candidate"? When a candidate withdraws from the race, shouldn't the bar representing them on the timeline just stop? --Metropolitan90 (talk) 15:17, 14 February 2023 (UTC)
- I copied it from the 2020 Republican party timeline- the bar does just stop, but the bar color changes to indicate withdrawal. Drewsky1211 (talk) 15:33, 14 February 2023 (UTC)

1986 Deaths
Hi. Could you please tell me:
(1) What criteria do you use for determining inclusion/exclusion in your lists. There seems to be an extreme bias towards American, British and Australian persons, with many included Americans having a very low view count, while other groups (especially Asians) seeming to require much greater notability to appear on your list.
(2) When you intend to add references to your lists.

Recent edit reversion
In this edit here, I reverted some information that appears to be a violation of our copyright policy.
I provided a brief summary of the problem in the edit summary, which should be visible just below my name. You can also click on the "view history" tab in the article to see the recent history of the article. This should be an edit with my name, and a parenthetical comment explaining why your edit was reverted. If that information is not sufficient to explain the situation, please ask.
I do occasionally make mistakes. We get hundreds of reports of potential copyright violations every week, and sometimes there are false positives, for a variety of reasons. (Perhaps the material was moved from another Wikipedia article, or the material was properly licensed but the license information was not obvious, or the material is in the public domain but I didn't realize it was public domain, and there can be other situations generating a report to our Copy Patrol tool that turn out not to be actual copyright violations.) If you think my edit was mistaken, please politely let me know and I will investigate. S Philbrick(Talk) 00:53, 23 December 2024 (UTC)

List of people executed in…
@Drewsky1211, I don’t think you need to keep continuing the creation of List of people executed in (year). Plus, the Lists of people executed in the United States page is becoming over clogged with links. Every page from 1976-present was enough. Bluehawkking (talk) 21:29, 27 July 2025 (UTC)
New page notice
Hi @Drewsky1211, if you or someone else is gonna continue the creation of List of people executed in... pages, I created a seperate page for executions before 1976 so that the original page is more organized and less messy: Lists of people executed in the United States (1900–1972). If possible, you should take years with the least number of executions and merge them into one page to reduce the list size. Bluehawkking (talk) 01:00, 29 July 2025 (UTC)
List of people executed in… is a good idea
I like the idea of making lists of people executed by year. Very informative and adds new information to the internet. Keep up the good work! I do agree with Bluehawkking that earlier executions should be linked on a separate page, the Lists of people executed in the United States (1900-1972) is perfect. 1779Days (talk) 23:26, 30 July 2025 (UTC)
