- It's very lovely, and its font looks just like the one in the game. Disco Elysium is one of my all-time favourites, it's changed my life; so I'm very happy to even have the ability to display it on my user page, especially with such flair. Thank you for your service, Aw Beans Man! - Drunk Experiter (Kanni, she/her) (talk) 07:17, 27 February 2025 (UTC)

Contentious topic alert for gender-related disputes or controversies or people associated with them
You have recently edited a page related to gender-related disputes or controversies or people associated with them, a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.
A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have an expanded level of powers and discretion in order to reduce disruption to the project.
Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:
- adhere to the purposes of Wikipedia;
- comply with all applicable policies and guidelines;
- follow editorial and behavioural best practices;
- comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
- refrain from gaming the system.
Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures, you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.

Hi! Considering that you cite "Private correspondence" as the source of the file and that you do not claim to be the author could i convince you to verify the permission through VRT? Trade (talk) 01:11, 23 October 2025 (UTC)
- Hello, @Trade. I apologise - the image's creator, gt33, sent a declaration of consent form through the VRT email generator back on October 8th, however it appears he didn't reply to the follow-up email by Commons. We were not aware there would need to be further correspondence considering he sent the consent release form (written permission from the author). He's sent a reply just now (6 minutes ago as of writing this) proving he's the author. Thank you for the reminder. I hope that they will get back to him soon and we may cancel the speedy deletion. Drunk Experiter (she/her) (talk) 01:41, 23 October 2025 (UTC)
- I suggest you go to the c:Commons:Volunteer Response Team/Noticeboard and explain what is going on Trade (talk) 02:39, 23 October 2025 (UTC)
- I would, but unfortunately I don't have GIPBE yet, I only have IPBE here. I've sent the Stewards a request, we'll see how it goes. Till then, I can't really edit on Commons. Do you have any idea if it can be resolved by VRT through email communications with the original author? Drunk Experiter (she/her) (talk) 04:38, 23 October 2025 (UTC)
- Did you used the default email permission template? There shouldnt be any issues if you did Trade (talk) 05:14, 23 October 2025 (UTC)
- Yes, gt33 used the VRT email generator, it was the base, default consent release email template. I guess maybe the VRT responder misinterpreted "creator and/or sole owner" in the template as just "sole owner", and wanted further proof/explanation? The specific wording of the follow-up email was:
Dear [gt33],
Please advise who is the creator (photographer) of the image(s), and by which reason you became holder of the full and exclusive copyright.
- We'll see what they have to say about it, I guess it's probably a matter of waiting. They're only volunteers. Drunk Experiter (she/her) (talk) 05:30, 23 October 2025 (UTC)
- "I guess maybe the VRT responder misinterpreted "creator and/or sole owner" in the template as just "sole owner", and wanted further proof/explanation?" Common sense would dictate the image isn't a photograph. Pretty sure it's just a case of good ol' VRT bureaucracy
- Anyways my response would probably be something like "This is a drawing, not a photograph. I am the holder of the full and exclusive copyright because i am the only person who was involved in the creation of this specific work" Trade (talk) 19:09, 23 October 2025 (UTC)

"Roman" was a typo. "gt33" is how he prefers to be credited anonymously, and isn't what he's actually known as online (which is why it doesn't work as a search term on search engines). The upload "comment" is the file history, I can't remove it or change it without deleting the file or someone revdelling the history. He responded in a similar manner to what you suggested here, thank you. Drunk Experiter (she/her) (talk) 22:26, 23 October 2025 (UTC)
- Do you want me to get someone to revdel the comment? Trade (talk) 00:24, 24 October 2025 (UTC)
- Could you tell me what VRT ticket number he was given? Then i can ask how the progress is going Trade (talk) 00:26, 24 October 2025 (UTC)
- His ticket number is Ticket#2025100810009769. Revdelling is not necessary, it doesn't out him and the author field is filled in more appropriately. You may ask about the progress if you wish, but he only replied yesterday. They may have backlog. Drunk Experiter (she/her) (talk) 01:03, 24 October 2025 (UTC)
- @Trade, good news. VRT has gone through. VRTS permission has been confirmed and authorized, and speedy deletion has been cancelled. We're saved. I'd also like to thank you for your contributions on Commons, such as adding all those (very accurate, might I say!) categories to the file. Glad this came to my attention. Thank you and have a nice day! Drunk Experiter (she/her) (talk) 06:06, 25 October 2025 (UTC)

Regarding your signature
Hi @Drunk Experiter, welcome to Wikipedia & I hope you have enjoyed it here thus far! I noticed your signature while browsing around and while the shadow next to your signature is cool, I personally find it a little distracting. Would you please consider changing it for WP:SIGAPP purposes?
Apologies for the inconvenience this causes. I appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, and look forward to seeing you around! Thanks, Staraction (talk | contribs) 05:40, 30 October 2025 (UTC)
- I feared this day would come... But that you felt it had to come to my attention, that must mean it truly is more than distracting enough. I'm not very good with CSS, do you happen to know of a way to maybe make my signature less distracting/busy while retaining the double vision-like effect? Like, maybe making it darker, more transparent? Or would you say I need to just remove it altogether? I thought it was a really funny addition, as a spin on the "Drunk" part of my name. At least it is to me. Drunk Experiter (she/her) (talk) 15:46, 30 October 2025 (UTC)
- Hello, I'm not very good at CSS myself, so I'm afraid I won't be able to help much there. I like the addition too. Maybe we can wait and see if others feel the same distraction and see if they have any suggestions too. Thanks, Staraction (talk | contribs) 19:53, 31 October 2025 (UTC)
