Christopher A. Fuchs

I noticed that several of the references you added to Christopher A. Fuchs had incorrect or mixed-up bibliographic information. For example, {{cite journal |last=Mermin |first=N. David |year=2014 |title=QBism puts the scientist back into science |journal=Nature |doi=10.1038/nature13184 }}. That DOI points to a condensed-matter physics paper by Zhao et al. Likewise, {{cite journal |last=Bengtsson |first=Ingemar |title=SICs: Some Explanations |year=2016 |arxiv=1609.07373 |journal=arXiv }}. That arXiv ID actually points to a paper on convex optimization by Valkonen. And {{cite journal |last1=Appleby |first1=Marcus |last2=Bengtsson |first2=Ingemar |last3=Flammia |first3=Steven |year=2017 |title=Dimension Towers of SICs |journal=Foundations of Physics |arxiv=1703.05981 }}. This is a mix-up of multiple papers. That arXiv ID points to "Constructing exact symmetric informationally complete measurements from numerical solutions", by Appleby, Chien, Flammia and Waldron. There are two papers called "Dimension Towers of SICs", or rather, one paper published in two parts , but neither of them have exactly that author list or were published in Foundations of Physics. Nor do they say anything about Fuchs specifically, other than citing him as one of the researchers working on the SIC problem. I do not know if you used an "AI" tool to work on this text, but this is exactly the kind of mistake they make (as well as producing text that is too florid for an encyclopedia), which is why their use is strongly discouraged here.

Fuchs is an APS Fellow, which is already enough to merit an article here. He doesn't need further talking up. Stepwise Continuous Dysfunction (talk) 17:02, 12 December 2025 (UTC)
