Color contrast and your signature
Hi there. I've noticed that your signature does not meet thresholds for color contrast as per MOS:ACCESS. Can you please change it to improve its contrast? Thanks, Prodraxis (talk) 17:32, 18 March 2024 (UTC)
- Hi @Prodraxis,
- Thanks for your kind reminder. I have changed the contrast colour of my signature (If I didn't misunderstand, it should fit AA now) :) EleniXDD※Talk 12:19, 19 March 2024 (UTC)
- The first part of your signature meets accessibility requirements now, but the second part still does not. Can you please change the color of the second part as well? Thanks, Prodraxis (talk) 12:33, 19 March 2024 (UTC)
- May I know does the contrast mean that each independent colour match AA, or the two colours relationship pass AA. Thanks EleniXDD※Talk 12:37, 19 March 2024 (UTC)

DYK for Hong Wang (mathematician)
On 9 April 2025, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Hong Wang (mathematician), which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that Hong Wang's latest paper claims to have resolved the Kakeya conjecture, described as "one of the most sought-after open problems in geometric measure theory", in three dimensions? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Hong Wang (mathematician). You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Hong Wang (mathematician)), and the hook may be added to the statistics page after its run on the Main Page has completed. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

Your recent editions regarding Yundi
Hello, I would like to thank you for some of your recent edits on Yundi and XIV International Chopin Piano Competition. I have a few nitpicks.
By no means do I think my edit was perfect, actually to hell with it, I should have added at least one more source for that to leave no doubts. Your writing is much better too and you are the expert on the topic of this person. However, including most of the things you removed from the article would be helpful to make the perception of the person we are writing on more neutral. After all, part of the nature of competition is comparison. For instance, if someone got a special award, the fact that it is a joint award is not without meaning to the weight of the success of that individual. Moreover, if he got one of the three official special awards, it gives context, grounds it in reality just a little bit. The concise cascade of achievements, awards, praises and so on doesn't feel neutral in tone whatsoever. In short, I believe withdrawing these two informations is equivalent with leaving information about the nature of the achievement incomplete and impacts neutrality.
Please be careful when writing any text that is an opinion. It should be attributed to someone whenever possible and this attribution should be there in the text. I have not looked at all of your edits, therefore some unattributed opinions may still be remaining. I'm a Polish native and I would say that the one you got from Wirtualna Polska is absurd as an inclusion to Wikipedia, not to mention the lack of attribution to that opinion. The mountain of other sources you included is truly great though and I appreciate your hard work.
Considering how much you removed with your edit and what you replaced it with, I do think you have a bias on this person though. A personal advice I can try to give is, try to put yourself in that person's critic's shoes when writing or examining sources. I think doing just that will help you write in a more neutral tone, although it might slow down your work, which is unfortunate.
The last thing I want is engaging in edit wars, I despise conflict of any sort and it makes me very anxious, therefore having considered the overall picture of your edits, I have no intention of adding any new sources whatsoever to the en.wiki's Yundi article from this point onwards and will probably stay away from it. I hope my comment provides a helpful perspective and will only serve as an encouragement to you to keep adding sources and improving your writing further, specifically in context of neutral tone. Kondike (talk) 14:16, 12 October 2025 (UTC)
- Hi Kondike,
- First of all, thanks for writing me a long letter, it is touching for me. But at the same time, I must admit I am severly upset and anxious for some of your misconceptions and assumptions on me, despite my effort on improving and expanding both articles, especially on 'neutrality' and some 'intentions' you pointed me on.
- My removal on your previous edit, as stated clearly, was because of the usage of original contents in a BLP (the two special awards part). From the source your cited, it was never mentioned. I understand you are rather new to wikipedia and may not be so familiar with the policy. Your inclusion fails the Wikipedia:No original research part. When there is no source suggesting it, the content should not be included, especially in WP:BLP. As for the other part, for the Yundi article, as I stated. Information about other contestants, in my opinion, is more suitable in the XIV International Chopin Piano Competition (which I have put them in and have improved the article both by sources and the well-written Polish wikipedia).
- Also, I have done the Wirtualna Polska one clearly. I attributed it and even interwiki linked it (blue link). Of course, thanks for making the statement even specific, and indeed I will be even more conscious with cites. But at the same time, your assumption on me deeply wounded me. (I have no idea on your part about the nature of competition is comparison...? and your elaboration on me being bias and violates neutrality?) I suggest you on a further reading on WP:SYNTH, its what I see for your inclusion of the absence of two special awards, which they are not included in your source.
- I shall emphasize, you assumption on my editing really makes me super sad. I suggest you a read on Wikipedia:Assume good faith too. How come you assume we are on edit war? (In fact, I am quite satisfied and content with your later on editing on making it more specific) I just removed the part you did a original research with no source, and putting another part to the article where it belongs. I at most changed 1-2 sentences of your edit, while at the same time I improved the entire XIV International Chopin Piano Competition, improving and making it five times its original length (at least). How come we involved in an 'edit war' I do not know? Wikipedia:Edit warring Please read its definition, its reverting ideas and no consesus. But I did not revert any on your ideas. I improved them by giving on more sources. And you improved mine by providing a more specific wordings. When I one-sidely assume we are going through the nice collaboration on wikipedia, you accused me of edit war? Please read WP:IMPERFECT, I see our nice collaboration as an improvement, yet when I saw your message (which I didn't expect it), you really got me wounded.
- Let me speak my thought clear (hope it allows you to think before making assumptions in the future). I saw your edit and it inspired me to improve XIV International Chopin Piano Competition. I expanded it five times above, hoping to nominate and make it pass dyk. I wish after reading my paragraph, you understand more of my thoughts, why it is not good to have original research and no source claims. And a part also hurt me, is your claim on 'you haven't read all my edits', then why go on a conclusion of me so-called violating 'neutrality' or guessing my 'intentions/motives'. Tho I must say, I am glad that you come and write a message on my talk page - once again, this is not a 'war' or 'conflict', but a discussion on how to make things better and reach 'consesus'. This Thriving Land DYK
Hi EleniXDD, I was just looking over This Thriving Land for DYK. It took me a bit to parse the sentence "Furthermore, as This Thriving Land gained popularity, the plotline in which the protagonist Ning Xiuxiu grows the Chinese medicinal herb Chinese sage and leads her fellow villagers to increase their income and combat disasters has brought this herb, long praised as "a single herb of Chinese sage has effects equivalent to Siwu Tang Wan," back into the public spotlight, generating widespread attention." As this sentence is the source of the hook in question, breaking it up into two or three sentences would be an improvement. The article would also be improved with a sentence on Reception and Impact being included in the lead. Best, CMD (talk) 15:37, 20 October 2025 (UTC)

<nowiki> on the Teahouse
Hi, @EleniXDD. You just commented on the thread WP:TH#Reference in IrfanView, explaining the problem that Temptos introduced. But because you included the text <ref name="about"> without enclosing it between <nowiki> and </nowiki>, the parser tried to interpret it, produced an error message, and swallowed the whole of the rest of the page! I have fixed it. I wouldn't normally message somebody just because they made an error, but because of the effect of the error, I thought it was best to explain the problem. If you quote Wikicode, please always put it within <nowiki> (or find another way to make the parse ignore it). ColinFine (talk) 12:45, 20 January 2026 (UTC)
