I just reverted you changes to Nahr_al-Bared. In my opinion the word terrorist should be used with care, as it labels a group of people with a negative criticism that might not be supported by all the readers of wikipedia. For example, calling hippies "Weirdo's" might be true for most people, but there are also people who dont share that belief :)

I am not sure if you are aware, but comparing a hippie to weirdo is not similar to calling Fatah al Islam resistance. Fatah al Islam is an Al Qaida inspired organization which targeted and murdered hundreds of Lebanese civilians. Can you explain to me how you consider this resistance, and can you explain why the US State Dept. has added them to their terror list and why they are all either dead or in prison awaiting trial in Lebanon right now for their involvement in terrorism?

The opinion of the united states is not an absolute truth opinion. Many countries in the middle east will see Fatah Al Islam as a resistance group. If you seriously want to use the word terrorist, at least keep a neutral point of view by adding a reference. You could also think about changing the line to something that denoted that there is a specific group claiming that the group is terrorist. Dont get me wrong, i personally agree with you, but opinions don't matter on encyclopaedic content. --Excirial 06:42, 26 October 2007 (UTC)

What countries are you talking about, even Hezbollah considers them a terrorist organization??? The only ones who would consider them resistance are the enemies of Lebanon. I've never heard of a country supporting Fatah al Islam or calling them a legitimate resistance movement. They targetted Lebanese civilians. They were foreign fighters coming from Syria, Saudi Arabia, with Palestinians as well but who are they resisting and how do you figure people assume this of them, are you talking about Al Qaida? ;)--Eternalsleeper 06:46, 26 October 2007 (UTC)

In all due honesty i expected that this was a mindless alteration without sources, as i see rather regular. Hello. Your very first edit to this page (with your current username) was a large blind revert. I checked back several years. See this diff. Please make small edits at first on such a controversial page. And please participate on the talk page about your edits.

The page was stable for over 2 weeks until the latest revert war was started by Tewfik. The last stable version was the one edited by Tiamut. You blind-reverted Tiamut. Nobody who has followed Tewfik in these blind reverts has explained these large reversions. They only discussed some minor points, and consensus was reached on nearly all those minor points. I've restored most of the material you removed but added some additional material in order to make things more balanced. I found two or three lines that did look like they were "cut and pasted" so I either removed them or reworded them. I left out the paragraph about the Star "ridiculing" the JDL and have put that on the Talk page for comments on whether or not it should be included and in what form. I'm not sure which image you're talking about because I delete hundreds of images every day that I do admin stuff (which is only like 4/7 days of the week, but it's still a lot of images). And I never delete any image that hasn't had some fair use dispute tag on it for at least 7 days. So if your image was free use, then someone made a mistake somewhere along the line and I got the impression that it was fair use. If you tell me the name of the image then I can restore it for you. Hi Eternal. Yes, I did like just photos from Lebanon. Really good stuff, you don't see much of that around.

Wikipedia Commons is part of the Wikipedia project and is a repository of free images, either images which are too old for copyright, or images released by their creators. This allows for the images to be easily used on all the Wikipedia projects, not just for example the English language one. It's also used quite a lot by magazines and such looking for good images, so it's common to uload images with a licence like Attribution 3.0 Unported. Wikipedia:WikiProject Moving free images to Wikimedia Commons shows how to move images to Commons. I recommend using Commonshelper for moves (it's listed at the how-to page), to the point where it asks you if you want an automatic upload or upload it yourself, then upload yourself so you'll get the image in your Commons gallery. When you sign up at Commons you get an account with a gallery that shows all the images you've uploaded to Commons, which is very practical. I recommend signing up to Commons, I too used to upload direct to English Wiki, but this is much better. When was the last time the site got 'hacked' ?? your statement "which gets hacked every other week" makes no sense at all, for as far as i remember, the .org site,too, got hacked ... is that a convenient qualification for being official or not ? And where do your information come from regarding the "is far more popular, and gets much more traffic" ?? Any particular references? Third question, where does the .org get it's "Official" title from ? any "official" papers or memo or anything ?

I hope you would answer my questions so we could understand each others point of view.

Hey there again. I have noticed in your reply that you only discussed the forums but didn't mention the main news sources or portal or whatever you want to call it (www.lebanese-forces.com). By your reference, which is Alexa, www.lebanese-forces.com is way more popular than www.lebanese-forces.org, ain't I right? i agree that the lebforces.org forum has been down for a long while, but this does not justify the fact that www.lebanese-forces.COM is the official website referred to by the LF leadership. (one is a news portal, the other is a forum....there's a difference!!) In my opinion, we must keep the website www.lebanese-forces.com as a main link in wikipedia articles, and if you insist on posting the other link, we should be clear that it isn't the Official website as stated by the leadership. Get what i mean? ... please, do post back on my talk page so we can reach an agreement.I wouldn't mind also if we continue this discussion on msn.

Did you get inside? I'm wondering what the audience capacity in the hall is. I well recall a University of Saskatchewan Regina Campus (as it then was) choir concert there in 1974 but you can readily understand how after all this time I can't recall what the size of the audience was. Filled the hall and afterwards the social gathering place downstairs but that doesn't answer the question. Somewhat minded to add such detail to the article albeit briefly. The town United Church has or had a pipe organ but the concert was held in the community hall where there is of course no organ so that item of the concert was omitted. I also wonder what the opening and closing dates of the movie theatre were. I saw "The Miracle Worker" there as a small child in 1963 but that of course is no indication of when the theatre began and ceased business. And what about the two Chinese cafes that were doing business on Main Street back then, and the closure of the grain elevators? (Where do farmers now deliver grain?) Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Asia/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge and Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like South East Asia, Japan/China or India etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. At some stage we hope to run some contests to benefit Asian content, a destubathon perhaps, aimed at reducing the stub count would be a good place to start, based on the current Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon which has produced near 200 articles in just three days. If you would like to see this happening for Asia, and see potential in this attracting more interest and editors for the country/countries you work on please sign up and being contributing to the challenge! This is a way we can target every country of Asia, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant!
