Hi Euphat! I noticed that in this edit you mentioned on your draft that the page had been created by Edward Dwurnik Foundation
. Could you clarify whether you are an employee (or otherwise connected to) that organisation? If so, you do need to disclose if you are a paid editor (see WP:PAID) and are strongly encouraged to disclose any other form of conflict of interest (see WP:COI). Just let me know if you have any questions about these policies, and thank you for translating this page! MCE89 (talk) 13:32, 27 October 2025 (UTC)
- Hello, I am mostly son-in-law of Edward Dwurnik. This article has been created without any cost. Just out of our care for artist's legacy. We do have official Foundation representing Edward Dwurnik but mostly we work pro bono. Best regards Daniel Ożga Euphat (talk) 13:37, 27 October 2025 (UTC)
- Thanks for explaining! It's encouraged that editors with a relationship to the subject of an article disclose this, so I'd suggest that you add a {{connected contributor}} template to the article's talk page so that other editors know that you have a relationship with the subject. You can also optionally add a {{UserboxCOI}} template to your user page. If you'd like to make major changes to the article now that it's been accepted, you might consider using edit requests so that an independent editor can look over your proposed edits. MCE89 (talk) 13:49, 27 October 2025 (UTC)
- Ok, I will add a {{connected contributor}} template now. Jut need to figure it out with instruction. As for my objectivity, this article is a professionally done translation from existing article, without impact on objective content. Euphat (talk) 13:57, 27 October 2025 (UTC)
- No worries, I've added it for you here. Totally understood — Wikipedia has lots of rules for editors with conflicts of interest because most editors can't write objectively about topics they're connected to, but you've generally done a pretty good job here by comparison. My main suggestion would be that you make sure everything in the article is supported by a citation to a reliable source, as some parts of the article are currently unsourced. Good luck with the article! MCE89 (talk) 14:03, 27 October 2025 (UTC)
- Thank you! I will add some more sources. In Polish version there were more links to Polish Wikipedia. They turned unavailable in English Wikipedia. Euphat (talk) 14:08, 27 October 2025 (UTC)
- I don't really agree with low importance of the article. Edward Dwurnik is very well known artist in Poland and important for Solidarność movement. Euphat (talk) 14:19, 27 October 2025 (UTC)
- Low importance tends to be the default for almost all articles, and definitely doesn't mean the subject isn't significant in their field. About 95% of all articles about Poland and Polish people are rated "low importance", while mid and high importance articles are generally those that have a large overall significance for the country. You could be right that the importance rating here should be changed though, I don't know enough about the subject to make a judgement. You could try asking for additional input at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Poland on whether it should be changed? I should mention that the importance ratings aren't particularly significant or closely maintained though. MCE89 (talk) 14:38, 27 October 2025 (UTC)
- Ok, understood. Thank you for clarification. I was worried it would delay the review process. Euphat (talk) 14:43, 27 October 2025 (UTC)
- No worries! The new page patrol process doesn't depend on the importance ratings. Given that this went through AfC and was accepted I would expect that it should be patrolled relatively quickly — impossible to say exactly how long, but in my experience probably a matter or days or possibly a few weeks. - Dear Viewmont Viking, I wanted to discuss the item in question with you on 29th of October:
- Dear Viewmont Viking, I would like to talk about removing Pola Dwurnik as listed as a child of Edward Dwurnik in his biography infobox. Pola Dwurnik has article in Polish Wikipedia and is quite known artist herself.: https://pl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pola_Dwurnik
- And now:
- Dear Viewmont Viking, I don't undestrand why you keep on removing child of Edward Dwurnik - Pola Dwurnik from the article. I did substantiate Pola Dwurnik is a notanle person (meets all wikipedia crtieria). She has her own article at Polish Wikipedia. If external sources are needed there is couple: https://galeriabielska.pl/en/exhibition/pola-dwurnik-meet-the-artist, there is alos her New York gallery if sencond source is needed: https://www.harkawik.com/pola-dwurnik.
- Finally Polish wikipedia: https://pl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pola_Dwurnik.
- Please stop removing correct information from the article. Euphat (talk) 16:03, 1 December 2025 (UTC) Euphat (talk) 16:06, 1 December 2025 (UTC)
