AfC notification: Draft:Barry O'Brien has a new comment

I've left a comment on your Articles for Creation submission, which can be viewed at Draft:Barry O'Brien. Thanks! Robert McClenon (talk) 21:05, 2 December 2025 (UTC)

Your submission at Articles for creation: Barry O'Brien (December 2)

Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed. Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reason left by Robert McClenon was:
This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of people). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia.
The comment the reviewer left was:
This draft, as written, does not appear to indicate that the appropriate notability criterion is satisfied. In particular, this draft does not appear to indicate that WP:NBIO is satisfied. If one of the criteria is satisfied, please revise this draft appropriately, with a reliable source, if necessary stating on the talk page or in AFC comments which criterion is met, and resubmit. It is the responsibility of the submitter to show that a subject satisfies a notability criterion.

You may ask for advice about the notability criteria at the Teahouse.

In particular, see and refer to WP:NBIO for notability, which is the guideline that the subject should be evaluated against.

This draft is written from the viewpoint of the person who is the subject of the draft, focusing on what the subject or their employer says about them. Biographical notability is based on what independent reliable sources have written about the subject.

This draft does not establish biographical notability. See also Wikipedia is not for resumes. You may ask for advice about biographical notability at the Teahouse.
Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit after they have been resolved.

Your submission at Articles for creation: Worldle (Kory McDonald) (December 24)

Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed. Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reason left by QEnigma was:
This draft's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article. In summary, the draft needs multiple published sources that are:
Make sure you add references that meet all four of these criteria before resubmitting. Learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue. If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia.
The comment the reviewer left was:
Lacks WP:SIGCOV. Provided references highlight only a single incident. That is not sufficient to establish WP:NORG, WP:SIRS.
Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit after they have been resolved.

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Spanish Society of Vexillology, a link pointing to the disambiguation page Basque Country was added. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ  Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

WP:NPOV / WP:NOTPROMO

Hi. We all have our biases. And many of us, often quite reasonably and rightly, are proud of where we come from. And it's great that you seem to be proud of your community. It's great to see. However, as Wikipedia contributors, we are expected to do our best to leave our biases at the door. And edit/contribute/write from a neutral POV. This includes avoiding cherry-picking promotional quotes from sources (and copy/pasting volumes of them into articles) and generally ensuring that the articles we write don't read like a soapbox/advocacy piece for the orgs or topics that we're writing about. Speaking frankly, I don't think you fully achieved this with your recent submission covering Ballymun's Setanta Hurling Club. Which, in addition to containing copyrighted material (as noted in the feedback received in AfC submission process), and several apparent errors of fact (including conflating the Ballymun club with a similarly-named "combined" minor team from rural clubs in County Wexford), it was mostly made-up of promotional quotes - mostly from people associated with the club. This isn't "on". Please keep an eye on this and try (perhaps a little harder) to write from a neutral POV. Thanks. Guliolopez (talk) 00:47, 17 February 2026 (UTC)

Hi there, I just noticed you recently created Hunting Hills, and while we appreciate your contributions, I do want to bring to your attention WP:GNIS, which, while it is just an essay (and not a formal policy) does provide some good guidance, and WP:NPLACE which is the guidelines for what constitutes notability for places. netstars22 (talk) 05:04, 4 March 2026 (UTC)

When the draft was refunded, it was automatically submitted because it was submitted when it was deleted and I didnt notice that until someone reviewed it not knowing it was automatically submitted. I explained what happened on their talk page, so I thought it would be fine to remove it since it was a mistake. Finnfrog99 (talk) 13:30, 17 March 2026 (UTC)

Not really, they made a good faith review so it should stay. The only time removal of anything is OK is on your talk page, or if changes are made to rectify tags such as {{refimprove}} when refs have been added and the edit summary explains.
Anyway everyone makes minor mistakes, this is not a big deal. Ldm1954 (talk) 13:36, 17 March 2026 (UTC)
