Welcome to Wikipedia, FirstPlace17! I'm Mwwv, and I've been assigned as your mentor. All new Wikipedia accounts receive a mentor chosen randomly from a list of volunteers. It just means I'm here to help with anything you need! We need to have all kinds of people working together to create an online encyclopedia, so I'm glad you're here. Over time, you will figure out what you enjoy doing the most on Wikipedia.

You might have noticed that you have access to a tutorial and suggested edits. It's recommended that you take advantage of this, as it'll make learning how to edit Wikipedia easier.

If you need assistance with anything or have any questions, click on the "Get editing help" button on the bottom right corner of your screen. This will open up a module with links to help pages and a place to ask me questions. You can also ask me questions directly on my talk page, or go here to get help from the wider community.

Again, welcome to Wikipedia! mwwv converseedits 22:00, 21 October 2025 (UTC)

Why did you ask your sandbox page to be deleted for vandalism?

Why did you place a vandalism tag on your sandbox page - User:FirstPlace17/sandbox/Timothy E. Zerillo. Is it your way of asking that your page be deleted? For a page in your user space {{db-u1}} will serve that purpose. ERcheck (talk) 23:52, 29 October 2025 (UTC)

Hi @ERcheck
I apologies for the mistake, I was practising my skills in my sandbox and was discovering all sorts of tags and template available on Wiki, I had to reverse the tag but forgot to, Can you undelete the page so I can continue practising on it?
Thank You! FirstPlace17 (talk) 02:02, 30 October 2025 (UTC)
It was deleted by another admin as G7: "One author who has requested deletion" If you wish to retrieve it, follow the process - see WP:REFUND. ERcheck (talk) 02:20, 30 October 2025 (UTC)

Blocked as a sockpuppet

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for abusing multiple accounts as a sockpuppet of User:DancingFountain per the evidence presented at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/DancingFountain. Note that multiple accounts are allowed, but not for illegitimate reasons, and any contributions made while evading blocks or bans may be reverted or deleted.
If you believe that there are good reasons for being unblocked, please review Wikipedia's guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Sohom (talk) 17:06, 21 November 2025 (UTC)

Request reason:

Hello, and thank you for taking the time to review my situation. :I want to clarify that this block appears to be based on a misunderstanding, and I sincerely apologize for anything that contributed to it. I was not paid for any of the edits connected to this case, and I never intended to misuse Wikipedia or evade any policies. If I ever engage in paid editing in the future, I will fully and clearly disclose it according to Wikipedia’s COI guidelines. :The main issue was my own mistake: a friend asked if he could use my Wikipedia account, and I agreed without understanding the consequences. When I realized he was editing in ways that violated Wikipedia’s rules, I immediately changed my password and secured my account. I now understand that allowing someone else to use my account is a serious violation on its own, and I am genuinely sorry for that lapse in judgment. :I have a great deal of respect for the admins and contributors who keep this platform running, and I want to apologize to anyone affected by the disruption this caused. I have learned from this, and I promise to follow all policies carefully going forward. :If possible, I would be grateful to be unblocked under strict supervision, probation, or editing restrictions — whatever is appropriate. I’m simply asking for the benefit of the doubt that is often extended to new editors who make mistakes from inexperience rather than bad intentions. :Thank you again for your time and consideration. I appreciate the opportunity to improve and do better. FirstPlace17 (talk) 17:17, 21 November 2025 (UTC)

Decline reason:

As mentioned below, this account has to be considered compromised. Unfortunately we cannot take your word that you have changed my password and secured my account. (Furthermore, someone else using this account doesn't explain the CU likely to two other accounts as detailed at the SPI report.) The Bushranger One ping only 02:10, 22 November 2025 (UTC)

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Can you please tell us how many other accounts you have used, and which accounts those are? CoconutOctopus talk 19:10, 21 November 2025 (UTC)
If someone else operated this account, that means it is compromised, as we have no way to know if you are the original account operator or someone else claiming to be. See WP:COMPROMISED. 331dot (talk) 20:45, 21 November 2025 (UTC)
