Hi Go4thProsper, I see in Oct 2020, you add the {COI}tag on the Wiki item "GenScript Biotech", it shows that " This article needs additional citations for verification". Since I have already provided the supporting citation on where marked the "citation needed", can I remove the {COI}tag and {citation needed} tag? GenYouth (talk) 07:39, 28 March 2023 (UTC)

I looked at the article in question and it appears the maintenance banner I added three years ago has been removed, but has been replaced by a more thorough and detailed banner. The issues raised in that banner do not appear to have been resolved. I would not support removing that banner. Go4thProsper (talk) 23:56, 28 March 2023 (UTC)

I am not sure if the "banner" you mentioned is the items listed on the top of the website, which called "This article has multiple issues".

Actually I agree with the comments that wikipedia item_GenScript Biotech have few unsolved issues now. BUT what I mean is that I have already add the support citation link for those "citation needed" part. Can I JUST remove one issue（This article needs additional citations for verification. It would be inappropriate for you as a WP:COI editor to remove any part of the message. You are doing the right thing by alerting the independent editors community about your concerns and point of view, but you’ll have to first achieve community consensus that the message should be modified, then find an editor willing to make the change recommended by the group. Hello, Go4thProsper, Glad to see that you’re a Hoosier. I am a former Buckeye from right on the Indiana border. I have a question for you about the proposed merger of ‘Baldwin’ and ‘Baldwin in France’. Don’t you think the Baldwin in France article (which has more than 1800 words) would overload the ‘Baldwin’ article, which is massive at over 11,000 words? Thus, the combined article would be around 12,500 words. This puts it nearly in the zone where WP guidance on Article Length ( see WP:LENGTH) states that such an article ‘almost certainly should be divided or trimmed’. The current ‘Baldwin’ article is already in the zone, described in WP:LENGTH, as ‘probably should be divided or trimmed’. That is the reason I wrote a separate article to begin with. Big win for us in women’s bball last night! To your question, yes that is a very real concern; however “merge” in my mind does not mean every word must remain. I actually think the Baldwin bio article is much too long already and should itself be trimmed. But that’s no reason not to merge. Baldwin is an important figure for sure, but not so much that his 62 years merit multiple articles, each of which are arguably much too long. Other editors are encouraged to weigh in and disagree, but in my opinion the articles should be merged and the overall product cut back in word count. I’ve noticed that you’re frequently participating in active AFDs and voting too quickly. For example, you’ve cast four votes in just three minutes and eight votes within 14 minutes. This seems suspicious because it takes longer to properly evaluate the articles.

Are you familiar with the guidelines for participating in Afds? I want to inform you that if you’re randomly voting on Afds without any evaluation, it’s best to stop.
