Islam in Vietnam copy edit tag

Hi! I see that you're copy editing the article Islam in Vietnam as a part of the July 2024 backlog elimination. I noticed a copy edit tag in the subsection "The Cham Muslim Identity in the Mekong Delta", which tags the article as in need of copy editing and lists it here: Category:All articles needing copy edit). I suggest removing it to avoid any confusion :-) Kindly, Pinecone23 (talk) 09:34, 11 July 2024 (UTC)

Thank you for the reminder, going to remove it. Just I was waiting for the reference book "Cham Muslims of the Mekong Delta by Philip Taylor" as most of the references come from that. GreenRedFlag (talk) 09:39, 11 July 2024 (UTC)

Early start

Hello. The one-week October 2024 blitz doesn't start until the 13th UTC (and ends on the 19th). So, you should not be crediting editing that you have done before then as blitz totals. I think you can leave up what you have recorded, especially if you would not have made those edits otherwise; but you should really only record work done within the blitz time frame. Dhtwiki (talk) 21:51, 11 October 2024 (UTC)

Oh no, I didn't notice, noted with thanks. GreenRedFlag (talk) 05:17, 12 October 2024 (UTC)

DC Hill moved to draftspace

Thanks for your contributions to DC Hill. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it has no sources and there is no text content, once a lead and some body text is translated this can be moved back to mainspace, if ready. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. ASUKITE 15:31, 23 October 2024 (UTC)

I did not submit it either, for some reason It got published. Anyway, I am working on it. Thanks for your reminder. GreenRedFlag (talk) 16:12, 23 October 2024 (UTC)

Ways to improve Batisha Union

Hello, GreenRedFlag,

Thank you for creating Batisha Union.

I have tagged the page as having some issues to fix, as a part of our page curation process and note that:

Good job structure-wise, the only (slight) issues I saw were a lack of references and a lack of descriptive categories. They are all minor fixes, so don't worry. :)

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|Sir MemeGod}}. Remember to sign your reply with ~~~~. For broader editing help, please visit the Teahouse.

Delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.

Thanks, I am working on it and will add references as early. GreenRedFlag (talk) 19:02, 29 October 2024 (UTC)

I admit, I should spend few times to rewrite it to avoid copyright matter. Please check if the below writing is OK.
"By the end of August, the Tenth Army's sector, spanning from just north of Vicchio to Pesaro in the east, displayed a formidable array of defenses. It included 2,375 machine-gun posts, 479 positions for antitank guns, mortars, and assault guns, and 3,604 dugouts and shelters, among them 27 caves. Additionally, there were 16,006 riflemen’s positions, featuring embrasures made from fallen trees and branches. The Germans had also laid 72,517 Teller antitank mines and 23,172 S-mines, alongside 73 miles of wire obstacles and 9,780 yards of antitank ditches. However, only four Panzerturms had been completed, with 18 more under construction and seven others planned. Out of 46 smaller tank gun turrets intended to mount 1- and 2-centimetre guns, only 18 were operational. Furthermore, while 22 steel shelters were under construction, none had reached completion."

AfC review comment

thank for your efforts in AfC reviews. I am curious if you looked at all the references and citations I included in Draft:Helmut_Portmann, being the Technical Director of the National Data Buoy Center see [1] and Mr. Portmann Official US Government information about his position [2], is not promotional. The position Mr. Portmann occupied was the civilian equivalent of a general or admiral in the US military service. NDBC is critical to the welfare of thousands. It is the one of the key sensor components of the global Tsunami Alert System that millions of people depend. You may or may not be aware of tsunamis catastrophic impact. It might not be in the news every day, but certainly is pretty notable when it happens ( 2004 Indian Ocean Tsunami; 9.1 magnitude earthquake off the coast of Sumatra, Indonesia; More than 230,000 people were killed in 14 countries, 2011 Tohoku Tsunami off the coast of Japan Over 15,000 people were killed).

Being one of the key people in the world responsible for alerting the entire world to incoming tsunamis is not trivial.Emoritz2017 (talk) 01:37, 22 November 2025 (UTC)
Wikipedia requires significant independent coverage in reliable secondary sources (WP:GNG + WP:BIO). The draft doesn’t show that. Patents, technical reports, NOAA documents, IEEE papers, promotional interviews about his novels, and an obituary are not the type of independent journalism that establishes notability.
Wikipedia needs:
Major newspaper profiles
Investigative pieces
Magazine features
Peer-reviewed biographical analyses
Books written by others about him or his work
Example: The tsunamis incident should be published by secondary source to established Wikipedia guideline for notability. The current reference is from primary source. You need to add secondary source from prominent newspaper.

Articles for creation backlog drive

Hello GreenRedFlag:

WikiProject Articles for creation is holding a month long Backlog Drive in December!
The goal of this drive is to reduce the backlog of unreviewed drafts to less than half a month of outstanding reviews from the current 2+ months. Bonus points will be given for reviewing drafts that have been waiting more than 30 days. The drive is running from 1 December 2025 through 31 December 2025.

You may find Category:AfC pending submissions by age or other categories and sorting helpful.

Barnstars will be given out as awards at the end of the drive.
There is a backlog of over 3000 pages, so start reviewing drafts. We're looking forward to your help!

Rejected draft review

Hello GreenRedFlag, Thank you for reviewing my draft (https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Draft:Al-Khafji_solar_desalination_plant&action=history)). I made a couple of changes including removing the references that may be considered not independent. I also added more independent references like an article from Arab news. The plant is widely covered even on published books but I feel like I am struggling to identify the best references that will prove notability. I am working on this article as part of my energy transition course for geoscience at Rice university and I am really optimistic that I got it right now. Please feel free to review and share your opinion when you have time. Thank you  Preceding unsigned comment added by SufyanMN (talkcontribs) 08:24, 2 December 2025 (UTC)

Dutch M53 Helmet

Hey!

Just reaching out because you said I needed to find new sources from preferably specialized dutch publishers. I did actually use the book De Nederlandse stalen helm 1916 - 1992 ISBN: 978-90-90-31777-9 by Kevin de Joode for 95% of the draft. Which I hope was evident by the citation ratio. This is a specialized book made by a dutch work group to collect all information on Dutch 20th century helmets and is a wealth of information.

I have removed the links to the website, which is actually created by the workgroup that made the book and has overlapping information. I added the citations when I was not home with the book. I have replaced the citations with what I found in the book.

Hope this helps with the review

January–February 2026 NPP drive - Phase 2

NPP unreviewed article statistics as of February 02, 2026

Welcome to Phase 2 of the January–February 2026 NPP drive. During Phase 1, we reviewed 16,658 articles and 4,416 redirects, and there is currently a backlog of 16,475 articles and 23,782 redirects in the queue. Fantastic job! Completing 22,502 patrols in the first phase made a significant dent in the backlog. Let's keep our foot on the gas for Phase 2, and I hope we can achieve even more reviews than Phase 1. Best of luck!
