Khalaj people

@HarvardJock:, you added "In Iran, they still speak Khalaj language, which is classified as Turkic, although most of them identify as ethnic Persians." although the source doesn't mention such a thing. Can you explain? Beshogur (talk) 09:34, 16 June 2020 (UTC)

@Beshogur:, I added that because the source mentions gradual Persianization occurring among the Khalaj people and continuing the present, so it can be easily inferred that such Persianization has now reached greater levels than the past.

Persianization doesn't means "identify as Persian". Persianization is just influenced by its culture. Please change that sentence. Beshogur (talk) 12:12, 17 June 2020 (UTC)

allow me this comment

it's hard for people to WP:ASSUMEGOODFAITH when you have a big-ass userbox saying "i support the iranian govt". same goes for any other political statement, in principle, but in the current context it's an especially touchy thing to be exposing around Shoshin000 (talk) 22:36, 8 April 2026 (UTC)

If someone thinks I'm not acting in good faith solely based on my profile, that's on them. None of my comments or edits themselves make me look like I'm not acting in line with WP:ASSUMEGOODFAITH and indeed nobody has ever accused me of this before. Furthermore, in over 5 years now, based on my actions or comments, nobody has ever accused me of going against policy either. So, if somebody wants to think I'm acting badly based simply on my profile statements, then that's their problem, not mine. Expressing support for Iran is also not against Wikipedia policy, obviously, given userboxes are permitted for it.
Regarding the comments I made on Talk:2026 Iran massacres, I was very clear: the Iranian government's death toll numbers should be included because of WP:NPOV, and not because I personally believe them. In fact, I'm quite skeptical of their figures myself. I personally subscribe to HRANA as I view them as more reliable. However, in the end, what I believe doesn't even matter, Wikipedia's standards do. I stated this in my reply.
Anyway, I know your comment here is just to warn me about how other people might perceive me based on my profile, so I appreciate it. But I won't alter my profile or beliefs because of other people's perceptions - again, that's their problem. HarvardJock🏫 (talk) 22:35, 17 April 2026 (UTC)

2026 Iran War article feedback

Actually i mean to rewrite the peace proposal.delivered by pakistan as simple language...the pakistani pr teams of wiki editors have glorified him as great leader capable of doing many things and pakistan is global superpower. Indian Fact Finder (talk) 22:55, 8 April 2026 (UTC)

Okay. Since you're not an extended confirmed user yet, just write out the exact addition you seek to make under your heading in Talk:2026 Iran war. You can make requests as a non-extended confirmed user, and if your changes are acceptable someone will likely implement it on the article page. Regarding your specific changes, I can tell you're not fond of the neutrality of the article with regards to Pakistan, so bringing up policy concerns like WP:NPOV or WP:UNDUE can help your case. Feel free to take a few minutes to familiarize yourself with these policies in case you're not already familiar with them.
If you have more questions do not hesitate to ask me, I am here to help. HarvardJock (talk) 23:05, 8 April 2026 (UTC)
Wikipedia policy is that you can post an edit request on a talk page if you are non-ec confirmed. However, multiple have had their comments removed by administrators who disagree with the comments on the basis that they are non-ec. Yavneh (talk) 21:22, 10 April 2026 (UTC)
If that is the case, I would recommend contacting the administrators who removed your comments (or other users' comments) and ask them why they did it. Leave a message on their user talk. If it was a reasonable request, I'm sure they will repost it or allow you to repost it on the talk page.
Admins typically remove comments if they are deemed disruptive, unconstructive, or violate talk page guidelines, so assuming you or other users did not engage in any of these behaviors, I see no reason why they wouldn't restore your comments or allow to repost it. Do not, however, immediately repost it yourself without consultation. HarvardJock (talk) 21:31, 10 April 2026 (UTC)
But had my message violated guidelines. Indian Fact Finder (talk) 09:21, 12 April 2026 (UTC)
Then they should not have been made. Discuss your messages with the admin if you think they didn't violate guidelines. Are you the same user as Yavneh? I'm a bit confused. HarvardJock (talk) 20:55, 12 April 2026 (UTC)

Slow device

Hi, I saw you complained about having a slow device. ChromeOS Flex works really well on rather slow PCs. If that does not work, use Debian. tgeorgescu (talk) 09:53, 17 April 2026 (UTC)

Thanks for the tip! That was only a temporary problem although I'll keep your advice in mind. HarvardJock🏫 (talk) 22:34, 17 April 2026 (UTC)
