Just because you specify |some_param=some_variable does not always mean that variable will display. The |some_param= must be defined in the template. You can look at the documentation for the template you are using but it is also helpful to use the preview button before you save your edit; this helps you find any errors you have made and ensure that the values you have added are displaying correctly. Below the edit box is a Show preview button. Pressing this will show you what the page will look like without actually saving it. It is strongly recommended that you use this before saving. The page List of current governors of all Indian states has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done under section R2 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it was a redirect from the article namespace to a different namespace except the Category, Template, Wikipedia, Help, or Portal namespaces.

Please do not recreate the material without addressing these concerns, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Merging? Could you explain on why you believe in that statement? Is it because you think that different articles can serve different purposes? Since I did see your edit summary here and you seemed to wanted an explaination on why:

• Governor_(India)#List of incumbent governors already lists the current governors of India, so why should List of incumbent Indian governors still be around? Won't that be WP:REDUNDANT?
• Consensus was indeed reached at Talk:Governor_(India)#Merge_proposal and is still in discussion at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of current Indian chief ministers for Chief minister (India)
  • If you did wanted to say your opposition, I would recommend directly stating it and backing it with evidence instead of edit warring.

But since you are new to wikipedia, I'll happily be more tamer and try to be less harsh on you. I might sound rude though so I do apologise just in case lol GuesanLoyalist (talk) 09:14, 18 April 2026 (UTC)

i am saying it nicely. Ok. As I have a more than two months of edit experience, I know where to do and when to do and how to do, but for me, even I know how to merge, I still don't prefer merging at all and that's my explanation. Ok. And as you know, that in Governor (India)#List of current governors, I've already transluded it from List of incumbent Indian governors#List, so I don't think that any merging is required and always take my permission before merging so that I can know.
