Draft:Asysysy
Hello, Hotwiki,
I know you keep up on Filipino TV series so I'm hoping you could review this article for me. It was just moved to Draft space and blanked. If the article creator had done that, we would have deleted that as a CSD G7 but that is not the case here. I just hope that it's not another editor wanting to put their own version of this article in main space. Can you offer your opinion? Thank you. Liz Read! Talk! 07:04, 6 June 2025 (UTC)
- @Liz: I already reported the editor that moved the article, here. It looks like a vandal edit with the name change and blanking. Hotwiki (talk) 07:31, 6 June 2025 (UTC)
- Yes, I just saw your note at ANI. I'm not sure it's a big enough problem for ANI. Lots of editors redirect or draftify articles that were in main space. This is only unusual in that they blanked the article. But they aren't a new editor, they have been editing for a few years now so I don't think it's vandalism. I see this behavior when another editor has written their own version of an article they want to move into main space. So, they try to get rid of the existing article in a variety of ways, usually by redirecting. But it happens more often with films than TV series. Liz Read! Talk! 07:36, 6 June 2025 (UTC)
- @Liz: the reported editor changed the article name to "Asysysy", which is completely unrelated to the subject. The TV series have also finished airing its run back in March 2025, for the article to suddenly get moved to a draft article and get blanked makes me question the motive behind such move from that editor. I don't recall the reported editor having vandal edits in the past, so I was confused why they did that. I reported it to ANI, as the editor gave no reason for their doing. I was hoping someone could fix and move back the article to mainspace. Glancing at their talk page, they don't seem to communicate with warnings and talk page message from other editors as well. Hotwiki (talk) 07:45, 6 June 2025 (UTC)

- I have another query which is what brought me back here. Category:Upcoming Philippine films is an empty category that is due to be deleted in a few days (CSD C1 sit for 7 days before they are deleted). It's hard to believe that we have no articles on Filipino films for the rest of 2025 or 2026 so if you know of any, please assign them to this empty category. Thanks. Liz Read! - Hi @Liz:, I don't think I could contribute regarding Wikipedia articles for upcoming Filipino films. I don't remember contributing (in a major way) when it comes Wikipedia articles for Filipino films, as I mostly edit TV Wikipedia articles when it comes to Philippine pop culture. Hotwiki (talk) 08:04, 10 June 2025 (UTC)
- That being said, I've located 3 Wikipedia articles, that I've placed under Category:Upcoming Philippine films. Hotwiki (talk) 08:09, 10 June 2025 (UTC)

- @Liz, shall we expect to delete this draft redirect Draft:Asysysy? We all know that this kind of redirect is certainly unrelated to this subject because of this disruptive behavior by Jaekimn. Migfab008 (talk) 01:51, 12 June 2025 (UTC)
Encantadia Chronicles: Sang'gre Opening Theme
Hello, Hotwiki. I noticed that you left a comment on my talk page regarding the lack of citation for the opening theme. However, just like for the 2016 series, there is no official citation for this. The closest one is the song used in the OBB which is a modified version of "Tadhana" by Bayang Barrios. Tim 678 (talk) 03:54, 17 June 2025 (UTC)

Hello, i edited it because Atasha is not appeared since late february, because of PH adaption of Bad Genius, thank you, Xam D'Monty (talk) 15:08, 20 June 2025 (UTC)
- @Xam D'Monty: please provide a reliable reference when you are declaring a cast member, as a former cast member. These edits are just unnecessary when you added a "citation needed" template to your unreferenced edits, like as if you're ordering readers/editors to find a reference to your unreferenced edits. Hi, Hotwiki. You change the series, first of Prinsesa ng City Jail and second My Ilonggo Girl on premiere date on the List of GMA Network original drama series, because why not you first of My Ilonggo Girl, example:

Prinsesa ng City Jail (January 13–June 21, 2025)
→↓ to

Lead cast vs. Main cast
Hello. What is the difference between "Lead cast" and "Main cast"? And why is "Lead cast" used in drama articles (like Binibining Marikit, Encantadia Chronicles: Sang'gre), even if this is only one person? ScarletViolet 13:29, 1 July 2025 (UTC)
The Voice Kids (Philippines)
Hello. You said to refrain gmanetwork.com or anything related to GMA Network and their shows. What should be the necessary reference to be considered since the network's website and local newscast have confirmed it? Anthony1520Jones (talk) 13:40, 5 August 2025 (UTC)
- Try googling the show and see if third-party media like The Philippine Star, Inquirer Bandera, Philippine Daily Inquirer, LionhearTV, PEP, The Manila Times, Abante, Manila Bulletin and SunStar (to name a few) posted articles about the show. That way, article reviewers and editors won't flag the article for using so many first party references. Hotwiki (talk) 15:05, 5 August 2025 (UTC)

Since this article is locked can you be the one updating the number of episodes on both Viu and GMA and update the episode list since Viu as of now uploaded episode 30 because not a lot of registered users are updating this article. 139.135.78.230 (talk) 02:51, 6 August 2025 (UTC)

- I meant the episode list that's already there. As of now it's still episode 15 it should already be episode 32 in the episode list. Can you be the one updating it because no registered user is updating the episode list. 139.135.78.231 (talk) 06:14, 8 August 2025 (UTC)
- Nope. I'm not using the Viu link, to list down episode titles and airdates I'm not even sure about, since airdates aren't even mentioned in the Viu link. Hotwiki (talk) 06:30, 8 August 2025 (UTC)
- Sure the titles are already there. but if the schedule is always monday to thursday it's easy to know when the exact date of each episode is if you just calculate it. Unless Viu announces a change of schedule I think example episode 32 is August 8, 2025 since it was uploaded last night so next episode will be on a monday. I think common sense is the key here. 139.135.78.231 (talk) 06:52, 8 August 2025 (UTC)

Hey thanks for deleting the redirect at Cruz VS Cruz, but turns out the submission has a typo and it should be Cruz vs. Cruz... which is also a redirect and also needs to be deleted. My bad! Superboilles (talk) 19:28, 18 September 2025 (UTC)
- @Superboilles:, Cruz VS Cruz is what's written in the title card of the series. Hotwiki (talk) 19:52, 18 September 2025 (UTC)
- Uh, the whole text underneath on that same page writes it Cruz vs. Cruz ? IMDB also lists it as such https://www.imdb.com/fr/title/tt37356051/ Superboilles (talk) 19:56, 18 September 2025 (UTC)
- @Superboilles:, I think both are acceptable, but Cruz VS Cruz is more representative since its the one that's being shown in the title card of the series and the episodes. Hotwiki (talk) 19:58, 18 September 2025 (UTC)

Brigada Siete
Hi! Thank you for your message regarding citation, probably I may still have to re-learn how to cite references since it's been a long time since I last edited an article. The basis for all of my edits regarding Brigada Siete is the YouTube channel of GMA Public Affairs, in which they have a separate playlist for old episodes of the show. https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLk250GTsLEssBc1Dxy4hMORl9R5mh1xo0&si=ujAtzW1Y14X2Z0F6 BillyCPO (talk) 00:31, 25 September 2025 (UTC)
With regards to edits made on List of South Korean girl groups
Hi, I saw that you reversed some of my edits because of lack of reference, which I understand due to being a Wikipedia policy. However, most of the songs on the list don't have any reference whatsoever for their notability?
I would like to disregard most of the additions of pre-2010 songs and re-do the following edits:
1. Re-add the links to certain S.E.S. songs that are not yet linked (the pages were created recently and never linked)
2. Re-add "Abracadabra" to Brown Eyed Girls, which is notable enough to have its own Wikipedia page (unlike the other songs I added, which I am fine not re-adding as most of them were from first-generation which is unlikely to find source material for notability other than music show wins or how they charted on other charts like Melon. I will note that Davichi's "8282" from 2009 was also a notable song that year, but I don't really have a means of arguing that)
3. Remove the top-ten Gaon/Circle Chart footnote for certain songs (e.g. f(x) and 4minute's 2009 releases) released prior to 2010 (the first issue of Gaon chart). If you check the discography page of the groups (which has citations) or search them up on Gaon/Circle Chart, you can find how the songs charted, and most of them never charted there. They may have charted on other music charts like Melon, but that is not the criteria being used. I don't think they need to be removed completely considering the first-generation group's songs have no footnotes as they were also released prior to the creation of the Gaon/Circle Chart.
I also have a proposal on the talk page regarding adding songs by sub-units that fall under the notability criteria (e.g. top-ten songs) if you're interested in adding your thoughts, as it seems like you are one of the most active users on this page! Tt2460 (talk) 02:53, 28 September 2025 (UTC)
- About #3 - please do not remove the footnotes, the chart positions are added in the list, to explain the nobility of the singles highlighted in the list. About #2, music show wins and melon streaming chart are fancruft, and don't hold the same importance as official charts like Gaon/Circle chart. As for the talkpage discussion, I didn't comment about it, simply because I don't agree with it. Hotwiki (talk) 09:16, 28 September 2025 (UTC)
- I understand and made the edits we agreed on! I didn't change #3 and understand what you are saying, but I'm trying to say that it's factually incorrect -- Gaon/Circle chart did not start until 2010, so most songs released before then have never been top-ten singles on that specific chart. You can check the discography page of 4minute and f(x) and see that their 2009 singles did not chart on Gaon. Other songs before 2010 by artists such as any first-generation groups, 2NE1, Kara, Wonder Girls, or T-ara songs do not have any footnote. Tt2460 (talk) 19:34, 28 September 2025 (UTC)
- Just because the singles from those artists don't have a footnote, it doesn't mean should also add more "notable singles" that don't have certifications and didn't enter the top ten. Some of the singles highlighted there were already in that article, before I started editing the article. Your changes were reverted simply because you added too many singles that don't align with the current state of the article. Hotwiki (talk) 00:27, 29 September 2025 (UTC)
- Yes, I said I'm fine with that in my original post.
- I think you're misunderstanding me. I'm just saying that it's factually incorrect information to say that 4minute and f(x)'s singles charted in the top-ten of the Gaon chart because they didn't, and I would like to get rid of their footnotes. I am also saying it is unnecessary to remove the songs completely because there are other songs that do not have footnotes.
- I thought you were okay with adding "Abracadabra" as it has a Wikipedia page explaining its significance and notability, apologies for misunderstanding that part. Tt2460 (talk) 00:54, 29 September 2025 (UTC)
- Having a Wikipedia page, doesn't automatically mean it should be listed "under notable singles" column, or else all Blackpink/Twice songs with a Wikipedia page would have been listed, as well as other several groups like Momoland/Red Velvet/Baby Monster despite their songs not hitting the top ten/zero certification. Again, please follow the criteria of "notable singles" in that article for consistency. Hotwiki (talk) 06:11, 29 September 2025 (UTC)

Akusada
I think when the video says last 5 days it should be common sense that there’s a finale date and this show is mondays to fridays. Even though no date was shown on the video I think it’s possible to add the end date since there are evidence shown on the video and just count the last five days starting from mondays episode. It’s not that hard. 122.52.167.105 (talk) 14:31, 27 October 2025 (UTC)
- You need to find a reference that actually states the date. Please read Wikipedia:No original research. Using common sense by assuming information, when the date isn't even specified in the reference you've given is simply wrong. Hotwiki (talk) 16:11, 27 October 2025 (UTC)
Pulang Araw
Hi Hotwiki,
Why did you remove the 2 awards that I recently added: Catholic Mass Media and Gawad Pasado Award for the television series, Pulang Araw ?
Do I have to explain everything why I moved the "Legacy" section and put it right after the "Awards" section? By moving the legacy section, did it disrupts anything in the article page or are there any rules in Wikipedia that I'm not aware of?
Did you not see that the "Awards" section casts a shadow on the Legacy section which makes it harder for readers to notice
Aren't other editors allowed to update any Wikipedia articles for any updates pertaining to the series?
Kindly advice and thanks --Fanblade81 (talk) 15:40, 30 October 2025 (UTC)
- @Fanblade81:, I mentioned in my edit summary, that X isn't allowed in Wikipedia as a reference, especially in that scenario in which you used the X account of GMA Network, congratulating themselves for their drama series getting nominations. That is against Wikipedia:Independent sources. You should use a third-party reference for the Accolades section to prevent the Accolades section for being biased.
- As for the "Legacy" section, Legacy section usually comes after the "Accolades", which is the case for the Wikipedia articles of drama series such as Abot-Kamay na Pangarap, Lilet Matias: Attorney-at-Law and Widows' War, to name a few. Try to be consistent with other related/similar Wikipedia articles. There's no "shadow", just because a smaller section comes after a lengthy section. You should always use your edit summary, whenever you edit, to prevent other editors in scrutinizing your edits. Lastly, other editors are allowed to update any Wikipedia articles, this is a collaborative site. I didn't tell you not to edit, don't take it personal when you are being reverted.
- Hotwiki (talk) 17:00, 30 October 2025 (UTC)
- Okay, thanks for clarifications @Hotwiki.Anyway, I'm planning to update the awards section in Pulang Araw series but will use more reliable source. Fanblade81 (talk) 01:56, 31 October 2025 (UTC)
- By the way, thanks and you have a good one! Fanblade81 (talk) 01:57, 31 October 2025 (UTC)

Sanggang-Dikit FR
There are sources saying last two weeks it should be obvious that it will end in January 30, 2026. Episode 151 is the start of the last two weeks which was yesterday so it should have been considered even without a date mentioned since it’s last two weeks starting from yesterday. PEP
Although given that the article on Philippine Entertainment Portal was created, why do you refer to just "PEP" in citing sources and for the article, for example: "James Patrick Anarcon of PEP, complimented the series' cast and highlighted the performance of actress Rhian Ramos, stating the actress showed "depth" to the character she was portraying." General question
I know social media can’t be used as referenced but it can be added as reference with this WP:Twitter maybe a reference from official pages of Twitter applies to this. I really don’t know how this guideline works because what if no other sources announced like a character names of actors but the official page of a production company announced it on Twitter doesn’t that count as official? It’s not a fan page. Miamiwin (talk) 23:16, 28 January 2026 (UTC)
Cassy Lavarias' role in Sang'gre
Hi Hotwiki, I see you reverted my edit in Sang'gre, but I would like to know that Cassandra "Cassy" Lavarias plays her role as Gaiea, as her role name even mentioned in the hashtags three times: Chapters 107 (#SanggreTerraMeetsGaiea), 159 (#SanggreTemptingGaiea), and 161 (#SanggreDahilKayGaiea).
A reliable source should be: https://www.gmanetwork.com/entertainment/photos/meet-cassy-lavarias-the-young-barbie-forteza-in-pulang-araw/21129/

My Ilonggo Girl
I know you said that I can't use subscription only service as reference since to sign up. But the link I referenced you don't need to sign up it's just not available in the Philippines but can be accesed in the US with VPN. And Wikipedia is International right so people in the US can access that reference for free without signing in. Miamiwin (talk) 06:14, 12 February 2026 (UTC)
- @Miamiwin:, so its just not available in the Philippines and you still posted it? And you're saying its fine to use it? Like as if people from the Philippines won't view the article about a TV series that aired in their country? Do you know how wrong that sounds like. Don't use references that are geo-blocked. Hello!
I am Anthony Emmanuel N. Mapoy, and I have been your trusted ally for Wikipedia since five years. However, I do note 📝 that you made me serious about my edits, but please do not be angry at made just because you have some powers as an "admin," I should say 😉 . Why would you warn me when I do editing otherwise 😕? That would be irresponsible and wrong 😑 😒 . Unfortunately, I cannot think that blocking me in Wikipedia would be instant; it would take some time and effort, which would negatively impact my editing skills. Hope you read this message. Thank you very much for your understanding. Anthony Emmanuel N. Mapoy (talk) 16:14, 13 February 2026 (UTC)
The Secrets of Hotel 88
I would understand that sure you can’t use paid subscription as reference for the episode table. But the link is free access where you can see the episodes I don’t see why that’s still not allowed. If the website says you need to pay subscription to access the sight of the series sure it’s not allowed. But you can access iWant’s website for free on PC unless you’re mobile without signing in. And those episode titles are official. Miamiwin (talk) 23:40, 23 February 2026 (UTC)
- I checked the link, it requires me to sign up. Go find a third party reference that don't require membership and paid subscription. Hotwiki (talk) 07:15, 24 February 2026 (UTC)
- Use a laptop or PC. It's not accesible on mobile but it's accesible on PC. Miamiwin (talk) 07:16, 24 February 2026 (UTC)
- Thats not a good excuse. Again find a reference that requires no membership and no money involved. You are basically advertising for people to sign up for that streaming service by posting a link. Hotwiki (talk) 07:19, 24 February 2026 (UTC)
- Can I use this as a source? https://www.justwatch.com/ph/tv-show/the-secrets-of-hotel-88/season-1 Miamiwin (talk) 08:39, 24 February 2026 (UTC)

- I think the iwant link for this series can be used as reference maybe with this. It did state that some reliable sources are not easily accessible but can be considered. I can just put PC access needed. It's not that hard.
- Wikipedia:Verifiability#Access to sources Miamiwin (talk) 09:05, 25 February 2026 (UTC)
- Just stop using that site as a reference. Its been discussed before and you're back at it again. Not everyone can access the IWant link without signing up. You are indirectly advertising that site for people to sign up and get a subscription. Hotwiki (talk) 09:07, 25 February 2026 (UTC)
- Also I went back to the link, you posted. It doesn't show any episode listing. The link told me to download their app. That's the problem. Hotwiki (talk) 09:44, 25 February 2026 (UTC)
- Mine works fine and I’m using PC. I can access it and see the episodes without signing in. If I open the link on the phone it tells me to download the app. I think the link I added is different if I share from mobile. Try this one. Instead this is from PC. You can see the episodes if you’re using a PC.

- It works for you, not everybody else. Its not a good reference, which only shows up in certain devices, therefore it shouldn't be used as a reference. I hope thats clear to you now. Hotwiki (talk) 09:53, 25 February 2026 (UTC)
- How can I add an episode table now then. That link shows the official episodes but certain devices only. I’m sure there won’t be any third party references once this series finishes and that’s the only source that has it. Man this is so hard. Miamiwin (talk) 09:55, 25 February 2026 (UTC)
- @Miamiwin and Hotwiki: I circled back to the Teahouse to check for a response and noticed the discussion had shifted to here. Per WP:PAYWALL & WP:PRIMARY (#3 on straightforward facts), iWant's website listing the episodes is an acceptable source for the episode titles & release dates. For example, I've frequently done this with Amazon shows for credit details; not every editor has an Amazon Prime subscription but it not being freely available doesn't mean you can't use it as a source. The link that Miamiwin provided above works for me & shows 3 episode titles. Sariel Xilo (talk) 00:45, 26 February 2026 (UTC)
- The link is viewable in certain devices. If other article reviewers, view the article and click on the IWant reference, and they see nothing but a text message to download the app IWant - that would raise a problem. We shouldn't be required to switch devices (desktop computer, tablet or mobile phone) in order to proof read references. Hotwiki (talk) 05:17, 26 February 2026 (UTC)
- Again, WP:PAYWALL states "Do not reject reliable sources just because they are difficult or costly to access. Some reliable sources are not easily accessible". This is no different than the wall an editor runs into if a source is only available in print, an academic database, a subscription media outlet or service, etc. In those cases, you might have to go to a library or make a request on a noticeboard (Wikipedia:Reference desk) for help verifying a source. In this particular instance, you can either use a desktop to verify the source, check this archived version, or trust when multiple editors have looked at the source & confirmed it lists the episode titles.
|url-access=is an option in many citation formats to flag if a source requires registration or subscription; in this case, a hidden note could be added to flag the desktop mobile discrepancy to alter future editors. Sariel Xilo (talk) 05:39, 26 February 2026 (UTC)- Paywall isn't the main issue here. Its fine to use a streaming site if it shows the episode list to non-subscribers. The problem with that site, there's no episode list at all. All I saw, was an instruction to download IWant App. Plenty of people edit and view Wikipedia on their mobile phone. And saying "I can see the episode list on my desktop computer" isn't an acceptable excuse. Hotwiki (talk) 05:48, 26 February 2026 (UTC)
- It is literally no different than "that source isn't accessible on my phone because it is a physical book in a library". Also while the policy short link is called "PAYWALL", the full heading is Wikipedia:Verifiability#Access to sources. A source is not required to be easily accessible. It mostly seems like you're not willing to do the very minimal legwork to verify the source or trust an experienced editor who has verified the link Miamiwin provided lists 3 episodes with titles. Sariel Xilo (talk) 06:04, 26 February 2026 (UTC)
- Its not about "minimal legwork", its about forcing people to use a certain device, to proofread a reference. So I'm going to disagree here. Hotwiki (talk) 17:44, 26 February 2026 (UTC)
- Looking back at the original Teahouse discussion, there doesn't seem to be consensus for your view on source accessibility. If you'd like to discuss that further, either Wikipedia talk:Manual of Style/Television or Wikipedia talk:Verifiability is probably the next venue. Otherwise, I've started a discussion at the article's talk on if sources exist for airdates. Sariel Xilo (talk) 19:00, 26 February 2026 (UTC)
