However, there have been many land empires larger than Alexander's - the Roman Empire, the Mongol Empire (still the largest in history), The Russian Empire, The Arab Caliphate of the 7th century, and Hitler's (short-lived) military occupations in Europe during WWII. 104.169.26.177 (talk) 11:04, 13 January 2017 (UTC)
