Dear User:Ignostar, thank you for your message on my talk page. In order to answer your question, one obtains awards by working hard on Wikipedia. This can include editing articles, creating articles, helping others, etc. If you do these things, others may take notice and reward you for your voluntary efforts here. I hope this helps.
