Citizens of the US, are only about 4.2% of the World population. Even among just English speakers, they are only about 15-23% ...and only a subset of US Americans, would ever think that military time isn't a separate and distinct time notation, to the 24-hour clock.
There are some other countries that mainly just use 12-hour notation, certainly ...but no one, in them, would ever see military time and the 24-hour clock, as being anything other than separate and distinct. ~2026-12719-35 (talk) 22:06, 25 February 2026 (UTC)

Correction: I should have included Canadians. Or USA-Light, as I sometimes call it. Still, that doesn't increase the percentages by much. ~2026-12719-35 (talk) 23:03, 25 February 2026 (UTC)
Saying Canadians are Americans is an insult. Mr Serjeant Buzfuz (talk) 01:31, 11 March 2026 (UTC)

Invisible row on table

You recently fixed a reference of mine on the USCG peaked caps. Thanks. Can you point me to a how to that demonstrates how you did it. I can't figure it out myself. TexasBob85 (talk) 22:04, 27 February 2026 (UTC)

The title of the table had been formatted as a special row that colspan'd all the columns. I prefer to use the built-in feature for table captions "|+" – see Help:Basic table markup – much cleaner and simpler. I also find that table captions are a convenient place for references for the whole table, so I just moved the references to that spot. Indefatigable (talk) 22:34, 27 February 2026 (UTC)
Thanks I appreciate it. I definitely need to bookmark that page. TexasBob85 (talk) 01:04, 28 February 2026 (UTC)

Need an infobox for Canadian Constitution

Ideally, I would like an infobox for all Canadian constitutional enactments, instead of treating some as British statutes, some as British OCs, some as Canadian statutes , etc.

But I lack the tech skills to do that. Mr Serjeant Buzfuz (talk) 17:44, 10 March 2026 (UTC)

I think I can give you a hand with that. I have tweaked existing templates once or twice, but not created one from scratch. Since there are a lot of examples to work from, I should be able to piece together a good template. Maybe when you get a chance, send me an example or two of what you'd like to see. WP:THEREISNORUSH. Date format in Canada

Hello,

As far as I am aware, Canada uses mdy. When did they use dmy? I'd like to know because some pages you are editing use mdy. HalfOfAnOrange (talk) 21:37, 10 March 2026 (UTC)

Hi. Please check out Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Canada-related articles#Date formatting - both mdy and dmy are acceptable in articles with strong ties to Canada. I personally don't have a strong opinion on which one should be used, but in articles like Rogers Place that use dmy and have {{Use dmy dates}} in them, the format must not changed without discussion on the article's Talk page, see MOS:DATERET.
