Question from Kimkax (12:34, 11 December 2025)
Hi Just introducing myself ! I am Andrea from Colombia and I want to work a little bit more on Wikipedia I would love to add a few women from my country. Any suggestions are welcome. --*editing this because I alreayd have a lot of questions
I want to add some citations for the Incendies (play) I have written down the modifications I want to make :
- The first ciation has a wrong ISBN 0887547605 which whould be 9780887549267 - It says the book's translation was published in 2005 but it was published in 2010 according to the Playwrights Canada Press https://www.playwrightscanada.com/Books/S/Scorched
now language wise the english sounds strange
current text says :
"Incendies is a 2003 play by Wajdi Mouawad.[4] The play was translated into English as Scorched by Linda Gaboriau and was published in 2005 by Playwrights Canada Press."
My suggestion would be :
" Incendies is a play by Wajdi Mouawad published in original language French in 2003 ref https://www.wajdimouawad.fr/wajdi-mouawad/bibliographie/ ref. The play was translated into English as Scorched by Linda Gaboriau and was edited in English, and in 2010 by Playwrights Canada Press."
In terms of other sources I would like to add French and Spanish speaking but I don't know the rules regarding languages
Kimkax (talk) 12:34, 11 December 2025 (UTC)
- Hi! Sorry for the small delay, I am traveling. These are changes you can totally make on your own ... one of the wikipedia guidelines is Be Bold. I'm happy to look over changes before or after you make them, but you can do it on your own without waiting for permission.
- As for non-English sources, they're allowed by the Verifiability guidelines but English language sources are preferred. If you can't find one, French and Spanish are welcome!
- Let me know if I can help with anything, and welcome to Wikipedia. HundredVisionsAndRevisions (talk) 17:52, 15 December 2025 (UTC)

Hi there, HundredVisionsAndRevisions, and welcome to Women in Red. I see you have already created a woman's biography and hope there will be many more. In this connection, you might find it useful to look at the guidance in our Ten Simple Rules. Please let me know if you run into any difficulties or need assistance. Happy editing!--Ipigott (talk) 16:04, 31 December 2025 (UTC)

Question from Lenka ris on User talk:Lenka ris (09:46, 6 January 2026)
Good morning dear mentor, compliments of the season. I have tried editing an article but it gets rejected even when i take into consideration the suggestions given to me by the review team, could you please help me with tips, in my opinion i have respected the official guidelines and the subsequent suggestions. What do they mean by secondary more reliable sources, i think i gave a dozen? This is the page https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Draft%3ATaye_Arimoro&oldid=prev&diff=1330295974 .
Thank you --Lenka ris (talk) 09:46, 6 January 2026 (UTC)
- Nice line Melkrist (talk) 13:51, 9 January 2026 (UTC)
- Hi @Lenka ris. I know it is frustrating establishing notability sometimes. I would suggest looking for more high quality sources, pay close attention to NACTOR, and make sure your references are used to support specific parts of the article. (See GENREF for why cited references are preferred.)
- Keep at it, and the result will be an improved article. HundredVisionsAndRevisions (talk) 17:34, 9 January 2026 (UTC)
Your account is quite curious, got a question...
I've been editing Wikipedia for over a decade, but registered my account in 2006 and did not make my first edit until 2011. As far as I can recall, your account is something I've never seen before: it does not display an account creation date. I was just informed on WP:VPTECH that the reason could be that your account was one of the very first ones ever registered on Wikipedia. (For example, my account was registered in 2006, and the exact date appears when I look at my Special:Contributions.) Just curious; if you don't mind asking, in what year did you register your account? (I'm just asking so I can try and figure out if your account applies to my inquiry to try to determine when the cut off date might be for accounts having their registration dates in the system; I'm a bit of a "Wikipedia archeologist", so it's more of me being curious how this happened and being able to understand it later.) Steel1943 (talk) 19:58, 9 January 2026 (UTC)
- I honestly don't know. I made my first edit in 2007, but I am pretty sure I registered before that. If there was an email at the time, it is long gone, though.
- I tend to be an early adopter (or did, not so much anymore) - I have a low single digit GitHub id, and the last 3 digit Slashdot id. HundredVisionsAndRevisions (talk) 20:11, 9 January 2026 (UTC)
- Understood! And here I thought I was an earlier adopter registering my account when I did! I missed the age of Wikipedia using CamelCase and underscores everywhere in titles. Steel1943 (talk) 20:17, 9 January 2026 (UTC)
- I never used CamelCase on Wikipedia but I definitely used some original Wikis that did - written in Perl, if I remember correctly. HundredVisionsAndRevisions (talk) 21:31, 9 January 2026 (UTC)
- Also, FYI, I'm about to restore your PROD tag on Salt flat (disambiguation) but for a different reason since ... turns out I agree with it and forgot an alternative option besides WP:G14, and that is ... a WP:ONEOTHER situation based solely on WP:DIFFCAPS. Question from Accesseurafrica (07:51, 10 January 2026)
how can I publish an article? --Accesseurafrica (talk) 07:51, 10 January 2026 (UTC)
Determining when info is worth putting on an article
Hello, mentor! Thanks for the plate of cookies, it was delicious. :)
I joined Wikipedia last week mainly to clarify something I noticed on the article for Rosewood Hotels & Resorts. It is a group of luxury resorts throughout the world.
They have a list of all their resorts, including upcoming ones. I noticed while looking through their press website that they have an article announcing a planned resort in the Philippines that isn't listed o Wikipedia. However, I'm not sure if it's worth including in the Wikipedia article because the resort was slated for release in 2023 (this announcement was made before the pandemic) and there have been very little news of it since. I haven't heard any news of the resort being scrapped either.
I was wondering if you have any insights into if the hotel should still be included in the article. I'm leaning on no but I wanted to check in on someone who's more experienced with Wikipedia. I have more info about it on the talk page.
Thanks for your help! BlearyZeus (talk) 22:34, 12 January 2026 (UTC)
- Hi! I would fall back on reliable sources - is there any news coverage about the hotel being built? Have they made any verifiable progress?
- I wouldn't add it based solely on an old press release. Hope this helps! HundredVisionsAndRevisions (talk) 16:24, 14 January 2026 (UTC)
- Thanks for the quick update!
- I guess I'll hold off then until I see any substantial update regarding the release. There haven't been any big news yet but I'll be on the lookout just in case. BlearyZeus (talk) 19:14, 14 January 2026 (UTC)
Question from Ma7998017 (08:52, 13 January 2026)
- Note: Ma7998017's mentor GraziePrego is away.
Hello, Please, I have a question. There was an article since last year (about 3 months) but up till now, the article has not been approved. I don't know what could be responsible for the delay. Could you please take a look at the article (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christal_Burnette) and let me know what is causing the delay. Thank you! --Ma7998017 (talk) 08:52, 13 January 2026 (UTC)
- Hi, what do you mean by approved? The article seems fine to me, and I see your edits. HundredVisionsAndRevisions (talk) 16:26, 14 January 2026 (UTC)
- Thanks for your prompt response. I mean the page has not been patrolled or reviewed. Ma7998017 (talk) 16:48, 14 January 2026 (UTC)
- Ah - yeah there's a large backlog for page patrol. Why do you need to get it reviewed? HundredVisionsAndRevisions (talk) 20:54, 14 January 2026 (UTC)

Question from AmanitaU2Go (14:52, 30 January 2026)
Hello! I was recently working on adding citations and I think the data in the article might be wrong. Do I go ahead and fix it and add a citation? Or do I flag it somehow?
Thanks! --AmanitaU2Go (talk) 14:52, 30 January 2026 (UTC)

Question from HistorianWriter1947 (17:59, 31 January 2026)
I did create article earlier called “Church of God (Kallumala)” now it does not appear --HistorianWriter1947 (talk) 17:59, 31 January 2026 (UTC)
- I don't see that page in the deletion logs, but I do see it at your sandbox. Maybe you never published it. However, the page at your sandbox does not yet meet the standards for a new page on Wikipedia, and it's likely to get deleted. It doesn't have any sources, which will be a problem in establishing notability. HundredVisionsAndRevisions (talk) 19:04, 31 January 2026 (UTC)
LMU Munich
Hi! Could I ask you to consider undoing your close of this move discussion? – it's far from clear to me that the resulting move was what was intended by the participants. What I'm seeing there is (a) a request to move the page to Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München, (b) one oppose, (c) some discussion, (d) one alternative proposal (University of Munich) and (e) three support !votes for the move as initially proposed. I suggest that more discussion might be needed. Many thanks, Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 15:49, 4 February 2026 (UTC)
- My thought process was:
- the nominator included LMU Munich as an alternate proposal
- the oppose !vote had good policy reasons for that oppose, and also supported LMU Munich
- the support !votes didn't offer any additional information beyond the nomination
- there was clear consensus for a move to something
- Given that LMU Munich was part of the original nomination, it seemed like that name would be a a good resolution for everyone that still managed the policy concerns of the oppose.
- If you still disagree, I am happy to reopen the RM. HundredVisionsAndRevisions (talk) 16:44, 4 February 2026 (UTC)
- I agree that a consensus to move to "LMU Munich" is difficult to discern. There's a related discussion on my talk page. -- Michael Bednarek (talk) 18:10, 4 February 2026 (UTC)
- Please do. There was consensus to move to the proposed title (per WP:COMMONNAME, which is policy), not LMU Munich. Only one person supported that. -- Necrothesp (talk) 15:48, 6 February 2026 (UTC)
- I have re-opened the move request, and will let someone else close it. HundredVisionsAndRevisions (talk) 16:02, 6 February 2026 (UTC)

Question from Shelley Jennifer (16:02, 3 March 2026)
Hi. I just want to edit one article which is why I signed up. It is an article about my husband which is completely out of date and should be corrected and the whole article needs revision. --Shelley Jennifer (talk) 16:03, 3 March 2026 (UTC)
- Hi, I would suggest starting by reading our conflict of interest policy. You could make comments on the talk page with information that needs editing, but I would not attempt to edit the page yourself as a first project. COI is really tricky to manage. HundredVisionsAndRevisions (talk) 16:07, 3 March 2026 (UTC)
- I have read it and, really, I just want to correct some facts. There is no point of view or commentary to change. My husband entry, for example, says he is still working in Chicago for the Canadian government. No, he isn't. He returned to Toronto in 2020. Shelley Jennifer (talk) 16:14, 3 March 2026 (UTC)
- That's totally fine to add to the talk page, ideally with a reference to an external source, and let another editor make the changes. HundredVisionsAndRevisions (talk) 16:18, 3 March 2026 (UTC)
- An external source? Don't you think his wife would know he isn't working at a specific job anymore? And, how do I go about adding to the "talk" page? What talk page? What editor will make the changes?
- In addition, the article isn't well written. It sounds like one of John's assistants wrote it. Shelley Jennifer (talk) 20:21, 3 March 2026 (UTC)
- Every article has a talk page - the link should be at the top left, just under the title.
- And we can't trust information just because a user says so, even if that user is an expert. If the information can't be sourced, it may need to be deleted from the article. HundredVisionsAndRevisions (talk) 20:26, 3 March 2026 (UTC)
- Okay, I will go to the talk page. But, how do I get the article rewritten? I can send you the blurb I wrote for the Order of Canada describing John's career. Shelley Jennifer (talk) 20:27, 3 March 2026 (UTC)
- Which page is it? HundredVisionsAndRevisions (talk) 20:48, 3 March 2026 (UTC)

Hi there! Apparently you are my new mentor?
Hello, I got a notification that you are my new mentor? Admit I have questions and have been on and off with Wikipedia for a long time. Then I went to the Wiki conference in NYC and was there when the gunman came in and... I didn't go back. So... does being my mentor mean anything? Are you open to basic questions? I'd love to know. Thanks. PaulieZiegfeld (talk) 22:31, 9 March 2026 (UTC)
- Hi! Welcome to Wikipedia. Or, welcome back. Being your mentor means that you have at least one person you can ask questions to, and that's about it. Most people who've been around a while are happy to answer questions and help out and that includes me! If you have any questions, let me know! I may be slow to answer for the next week or so, but will do my best. Happy editing. HundredVisionsAndRevisions (talk) 22:40, 9 March 2026 (UTC)
- Thanks for the clue! Main Q is: someone dinged me on a page I wrote saying I may have been paid to do it. I was not. Arguing this point, that person did believe me and removed the "paid" tag but dinged my page with a "may have a close connection with the subject." I explained that yes, things I am expert in, especially in live performance means I may have / have often have met subjects IRL. But the page is not BS or marketing, it does have neutral POV IMHO, and I feel bad for the artist having this on their page, especially as I chose the subject because this was a woman who was notably absent before, unlike every other man in the same field. So how does one get people to rally to review this page and possibly remove a tag? I'd love to know the right way to handle this. Thanks for any help. PaulieZiegfeld (talk) 14:23, 13 March 2026 (UTC)
