Request edit assistance for Daphne Guinness article
Hi. I see you’re a member of the Fashion WikiProject - I’ve made some proposals to update the article about Daphne Guinness, posted here Talk:Daphne Guinness#Request Edits for February 2023. Because I have a conflict of interest, I can’t do these edits myself. Could you have time to look at these and consider? Thank you very much.YhSA99b3tTnCnLdr (talk) 19:12, 3 March 2023 (UTC)

Women in Red
Hi there, JuneGloom07, and thank you for your biographies of Australian actresses and fictional characters. It seems to me you would be a useful member of WikiProject Women in Red where we are trying to chip away at the gender gap. If you are interested you can sign up under "New registrations" on Wikipedia:WikiProject Women in Red/New members. In any case, I look forward to more of your detailed women's biographies. Happy editing!--Ipigott (talk) 14:34, 21 July 2023 (UTC)
- Thanks for signing up and welcome to the project. If you haven't already done so, you might find it useful to look through some of our essays, perhaps starting with the Primer. You should be able to find some interesting candidates for biographies by browsing through our Redlist index. Please let me know if you run into any difficulties or need assistance. Happy editing!--Ipigott (talk) 13:07, 22 July 2023 (UTC)
Soaps improvement drive
Hello, I pinged you on the WP:SOAPS talk page about this so sorry to double on the message but I want to get as many on-board for this as it's ambitious, even for me. Due to the recent surge in scrutiny on soap articles, we all need to come together and improve soap articles, so I've created an improvement drive with dates and articles for the soap WikiProject to focus on improving articles each week. Right now, it's focused on Hollyoaks, but the plan is to keep it going until we get to each soap. I did not include a section to sign up as I didn't want editors to feel that they are signing their life away and are expected to edit the articles mercilessly. I hope for some level of dedication but it's not a drive with huge pressure. Are you interested in joining in? – Meena • 11:41, 16 September 2023 (UTC)
- @Meena: Hey. I don't know how much time I can give, but I will try to help where and when I can. I remember someone tried something similar to this with the Emmerdale character articles and there were only like three of us interested/tried to help. Hopefully more people will be interested this time around. Now, when you say "each week", that's not a deadline for every article is it? Because I expect it will take longer than a week to improve some articles, especially when it comes to finding sources.
- I'll also add that not every soap is in dire need of help. Myself, Raintheone and a couple of others have made damn sure that the Neighbours articles are up to a good standard. The quality of those articles are one thing I can genuinely be proud of during my time on here. The EastEnders editors have pretty much always been on top of things with their articles too. Granted, there'll always be a few strays that need improvement. - JuneGloom07 Talk 00:40, 17 September 2023 (UTC)
- It's not necessarily a strict deadline, no, more of a time period of focus. People (and probably myself included) can and will go back to articles and add more to them. In regards to the other soaps, I was thinking more of the ITV soaps since I know that the Doctors articles are pretty much covered and wasn't going to include that, as well as the majority of the EastEnders ones (except for a bit of copyediting). A lot of the ITV soap articles seem to be in a more neglected way sadly. I haven't read the Aus soap articles so wasn't sure of their quality. Would you say they don't need to be included in this drive at all? – Meena • 08:38, 17 September 2023 (UTC)
- @Meena: Ah okay, I was thinking that a week to improve a character list wasn't a lot of time! Although I know the '97 Hollyoaks list is up for deletion at the moment. Yeah, the ITV soaps do seem to be the ones in need of the most attention. I don't think the Neighbours articles need to be added. I'll have a look at the Home and Away ones, but they should be okay too. The character lists for the both of them have been created more recently than the other soaps, so they've had a lot of time and attention paid to them. - JuneGloom07 Talk 19:57, 18 September 2023 (UTC)

Soap opera lauds
Hello. I just wanted to thank you for all the work you put into soap opera articles. I feel like these types of articles do not get as much attention so I appreciate the time and energy you have put into them. When I first joined Wikipedia years and years ago, I worked a lot on Passions-related articles, and it honestly saddens me to see so many of that show's character articles become redirects. One of these days, I'll go back to working on articles about that show. Apologies if I have already left you a message on this in the past. Just wanted to thank you for your work. The Power The Passion article
You reversed an edit that I made. I removed the line about the 20 years from that article because it was incorrect, as was the cited source. If you want another source, the book Super Aussie Soaps, cited elsewhere in that article, says that there was a 1975 soap opera Until Tomorrow produced 13 years before The Power The Passion. That is less than the 20 years given by the TV Week source. Also refer https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0317026 and https://www.aacta.org/reg-grundy/timeline/production/. Andjb (talk) 11:54, 14 July 2025 (UTC)
- @Andjb: You've should have left an edit summary explaining the reason for your edit. All I saw was an editor removing sourced content. I'll recheck Super Aussie Soaps, but IMDb isn't considered a reliable source since anyone can edit it. - JuneGloom07 Talk 19:50, 30 August 2025 (UTC)

Melissa Bell's Wiki page
Hi June. My name is Craig and I live in Worongary on the Gold Coast. Worongary shops are my locals and I'm there almost every day. Some time ago I added a short section on Melissa Bell's page that her dress shop had downsized and moved to a smaller shop at the same centre, then had a fire sale and closed it down. I witnessed this move and closure first hand. I noticed that you removed my text saying that it needed a reliable source. I don't know how to prove that her shop was there, that it downsized and moved, and then closed down, but I saw it. I saw hardly anyone in her first shop, saw her second shop, also with hardly anyone in it, then a closing down sale. What more proof can I get? What if there is no Woman's Day article on the closure? There probably won't be one. The fact is that the shop is gone but the Wiki page only mentions that she opened it. It's deficient by not stating that it's no longer there. I'd like to reinstate my sentence please and I'd like you to leave it there. CraigCanberra (talk) 23:15, 13 October 2025 (UTC)
- @CraigCanberra: Hi. I don't doubt you, which is why I commented the sentence out instead of removing it, to allow the chance for a source to be added. But you saying it has happened is not a source (WP:YANARS). You need to be able to cite the information within the article, otherwise it's original research. I'm not going to leave unsourced information in a BLP, so if you add it back, it will be removed. – JuneGloom07 Talk 23:45, 13 October 2025 (UTC)
- OK so where do I find a source? What if no-one publishes an article on what happened? Also the shop is no longer there, so that's pretty reliable proof. CraigCanberra (talk) 00:45, 14 October 2025 (UTC)
- @CraigCanberra: Sorry I missed this. Again, I'm not doubting what's happened, but we need a source if you insist on adding it to the article. Is there anything in the local newspapers? Or a newsletter maybe? I could check social media, which we can use if the account is verified. - JuneGloom07 Talk 02:29, 30 October 2025 (UTC)
