@TechnoSquirrel69 Hello! Thank you for the clarification, I'm glad to know that uploading a file is easier than it seemed. On the "File upload wizard" page, when I click on "Upload a non-free file", I am redirected to the same page. What should I do?Jvbpds (talk) 06:04, 26 November 2025 (UTC)
Clicking that button should launch a form that looks like this:
Make sure that you have JavaScript enabled in your browser, as I think this page requires it to work. If you're still having issues, leave a message at the Teahouse or the technical village pump, and somebody who knows more about this than I do will be able to help you out. Also, remember that fair use images are not permitted in draft articles per criterion 9 of the non-free content policy. I would focus on getting Draft:Fear & Dagger (Paleface Swiss Album) accepted through Articles for creation before uploading this file. TechnoSquirrel69 (sigh) 06:15, 26 November 2025 (UTC)
@TechnoSquirrel69 Thank you very much for all the information! Jvbpds (talk) 07:13, 26 November 2025 (UTC)

Your submission at Articles for creation: Fear & Dagger (Paleface Swiss Album) (November 26)

Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed. Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reason left by Rambley was:
This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of music-related topics). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia.
The comment the reviewer left was:
Citation 2 leads to the home page of the associated website instead of the article listed in its title. Definitely could be notable, a couple more secondary reviews from reliable sources can help to further establish this.
Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit after they have been resolved.

Declining as an edgecase. AOTY is an unreliable source and a couple of these seem more like blogs than reliable review sources.

@Star Mississippi Hello,
I am requesting reconsideration of my indefinite block.
I really didn't know that using LLM in discussions was so frowned upon, and I apologize. As you can see from my edit history, I've never vandalized anything.
Thank you for your time. Jvbpds (talk) 18:26, 21 December 2025 (UTC)

Request reason:

Hi, I’m asking for my block to be reconsidered. I understand now that using AI-generated text in discussions was a mistake on my part, especially in noticeboard contexts, and I won’t do that again. I’d just like to point out that I’ve never vandalized articles or edited in bad faith — my intention has always been to contribute. I’m willing to adjust and follow expectations going forward. Thanks for taking a look. Jvbpds (talk) 18:38, 21 December 2025 (UTC)

Decline reason:

There's no chance you'll be unblocked without a complete ban on your use of LLM's and AI. This is clear from the WP:ANI thread. Yamla (talk) 21:06, 21 December 2025 (UTC)

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. (Non-administrator comment) Hey, FYI In case it's not already been mentioned - the policy/guideline involved is WP:AITALK and you should also check out WP:NEWLLM. You should also check out the AI Cleanup board for context on why AI is discouraged on Wikipedia (at least until it gets a lot better!). Blue Sonnet (talk) 08:16, 22 December 2025 (UTC)

@Blue-Sonnet Read. Thank you for the clarification. Jvbpds (talk) 20:12, 23 December 2025 (UTC)
@Star Mississippi: - was the use of AI the only issue? Is this enough for an unblock? PhilKnight (talk) 16:27, 24 December 2025 (UTC)
@PhilKnight @Voorts sorry for the delay, I was offline for the holidays
I blocked as a result of Wikipedia:Administrators'_noticeboard/IncidentArchive1210#h-Personal_attack_and_refusal_to_engage_per_WP:CIVIL-20251221062400. LLM was the bulk of it, and if you're satisfied with their responses here, I have no issue with an unblock. Star Mississippi 22:54, 28 December 2025 (UTC)
Can you explain in your own words why Wikipedia discourages the use of LLMs such as ChatGPT? Significa liberdade (she/her) (talk) 17:43, 27 December 2025 (UTC)
@Significa liberdade According to WP:AIFAIL, it is not ideal to use LLMs more than as a mere tool on Wikipedia because they are "pattern-filling programs," meaning they will produce content that is often unreliable, coming from their training data, which may include "low-effort forum posts" and "unstructured and low-quality content". Furthermore, AIs can often "hallucinate". Jvbpds (talk) 18:37, 27 December 2025 (UTC)
(drive-by comment) What about the fact that LLMs such as ChatGPT use Wikipedia extensively for their training data? --Yamla (talk) 18:41, 27 December 2025 (UTC)
@Yamla Even if some AIs use Wikipedia in their training data, this doesn't guarantee they will use that source and not an unreliable one. Furthermore, artificial intelligence doesn't evaluate sources in the same way a human editor would, as it reproduces patterns from material of mixed quality. Jvbpds (talk) 18:52, 27 December 2025 (UTC)
No. The problem is WP:CIRCULAR. In particular, Wikipedia itself is not a reliable source. --Yamla (talk) 18:53, 27 December 2025 (UTC)
@Yamla Oh, understood, I didn't know that. Jvbpds (talk) 18:56, 27 December 2025 (UTC)
@Star Mississippi: was the LLM use the sole issue? voorts (talk/contributions) 22:52, 28 December 2025 (UTC)

Fails WP:NALBUM - the band's website is a primary source and blogsites are not acceptable sources either.

AngelMaker

What is ambiguous about "joined the band". It means he became part of the band. Seems clear and straightforward.

In contrast, "welcomed" could mean about anything. Welcomed to where/what? There is also the issue that it's unsourced. None of the cites says anything about Ciardullo being "welcomed" in 2020. How the band members felt about him isn't discussed. Maybe we wasn't welcome, maybe he was grudgingly accepted. The article should stick to the facts of him becoming part of the band (at some point before their next album) rather than vaguely speculating about the manner in which he joined. Escape Orbit (Talk) 14:41, 5 January 2026 (UTC)

@Escape Orbit Hello. One of the corrections you made ("In 2020, guitarist and songwriter Johnny Ciardullo joined the band, and the following year parted ways with founding drummer Jesse Price") had made the text ambiguous because it wasn't clear who parted ways with Jesse Price – the band or Johnny Ciardullo. I find your points entirely valid; I only request that you rephrase the entire sentence to avoid the ambiguity I pointed out. Jvbpds (talk) 15:21, 5 January 2026 (UTC)
Ah. Got you. I'll fix that. --Escape Orbit (Talk) 16:13, 5 January 2026 (UTC)

Ways to improve The Wilted EP

Hello, Jvbpds,

Thank you for creating The Wilted EP.

I have tagged the page as having some issues to fix, as a part of our page curation process and note that:

Possibly WP:TOOSOON - has the EP or any of the singles actually charted?

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|Bastun}}. Remember to sign your reply with ~~~~. For broader editing help, please visit the Teahouse.

Delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.

BastunĖġáḍβáś₮ŭŃ! 14:54, 5 January 2026 (UTC)

@Bastun Hello, thank you for the heads-up. I created the page The Wilted EP because I considered the material I had found, from the sources Kerrang! and Revolver, to be noteworthy enough to justify creating the article. A few weeks ago I created a draft that is now the article Fear & Dagger, and the absence of chart tables wasn't enough to cause its rejection, which reinforced my understanding that this wasn't a decisive factor in causing notoriety problems. But, knowing this now, I commit to improving the article and adding the professional review and chart tables as soon as the information is available. Jvbpds (talk) 15:41, 5 January 2026 (UTC)
Perfect! The notability guidelines for albums/singles can be found at WP:NMUSIC - the sourcing is good, hopefully you can quickly add a chart position. Cheers, BastunĖġáḍβáś₮ŭŃ! 17:28, 5 January 2026 (UTC)

@Youshouldchooseausernamethat, hello. I would like to know the specific reasons why my draft Draft:Chapter 3: The Last Selection was declined. Thank you in advance for your attention. Jvbpds (talk) 22:33, 31 January 2026 (UTC)
Hello Jvbpds. I declined your article because it fails WP:NALBUM. If you ever want a chance to get the article accepted, despite it being non-notable, then it needs to be a really good article. WP:WIAACA lists some features of a great article for your reference. Youshouldchooseausernamethat (Youshouldtalk) 01:48, 1 February 2026 (UTC)
I see. But aren't the reviews in V13 and Ox-Fanzine, which are referenced in the article, sufficient to demonstrate notability? An editor who declined the draft previously cited this criterion (WP:NALBUM) as justification, but that was because at the time I had not yet found appropriate secondary sources. Jvbpds (talk) 16:37, 1 February 2026 (UTC)
If you truly think I'm mistaken, that is completely fine. You can resubmit it for a second review. I have never seen V13 or Ox-Fanzine in the critical reception section of an album anywhere. Are they reliable sources? I will let you make the judgement. Youshouldchooseausernamethat (Youshouldtalk) 05:25, 2 February 2026 (UTC)
Please don't get me wrong. I'm sure you're an experienced editor just by being on AfC; at no point was my point about you being wrong, because as you said, you didn't know the sources I presented. About Ox-Fanzine, it really can't be a secondary source, at least not a strong one. As for V13, I really believed it to be a reliable source, as I've seen it in a few articles—Paleface Swiss, for example, as I recall. Jvbpds (talk) 05:42, 2 February 2026 (UTC)
