User talk:KGRAMR

Potential request for help and advice

Hi, I don't want to much bother (or write to much) on friendly notice. If you can, could you investigate the edits made by unregistered user with accounts 141.136.245.131 and 89.164.199.18 reverted by user FMSky. The edits made by former are I think well made, constructive, analitical and fair but with some mistakes of course; FMSky's edits are possibly result of vandalism and unfairness (and violation of some rules potentially), while the former's aim is to make a correct grammar mistakes (comas, colons, duplicate words (and numbers)) etc. and to make texts comprehensible, smooth and, in some cases, some shortening and so on. The topic is about video game titles (sections Gameplay, Development and Reception, the latter probably not in all articles). I know you are not administrator but if you can check it out; if it is vandalism, then possible revert to all or partial. I went to another user to talk but was mistake (little edits about 40), while you have a lot. Please also refrain from bad unregistered users bias - not all unregistered users are bad (they can be fair and honest) but some are bad ones; it is also for registered (some good, some bad). In addition, I also respect some Wiki rules, even though some of them I am not agreedable with them too much, just calm opinion. You can delete message freely, but before this please read it if you can. If there is another one who can help and understand, well thank you. Peace.

I apologize that I never got around to helping. That said, I wasn't even necessary, it looks great and you got it to pass. Nice work! Sergecross73 msg me 13:32, 14 October 2025 (UTC)
@Sergecross73:No problemo! I think now there are a few remaining VB games left to get into GA status. Roberth Martinez (talk) 15:52, 14 October 2025 (UTC)
Well done. I know a former tennis champion named Mario. I'll inform him at once! :) In far far more rotten games than poor old Virtual Boy ever dreamed of, here's a couple of new lows! Join me down at the bottom of the well that I jumped into, because you owe me big for expanding Baby Boomer (video game) and Gotcha! The Sport!. See the edit comments and look at what you made me do! :-D 👺🤯🥴🥸 Now maybe I staved off deletion until the world can professionally destroy these two in retrospective reviews. Just kidding, even the wikideletionists are allergic to these wretchedly cursed articles. — Smuckola(talk) 06:33, 5 January 2026 (UTC)

Re: Sengoku series characters

Have you run across any strong sources of reception for Ayin or Junice? I've got a few strong bits for both, but could really use more material. Was also a bit surprised that most of the reception seems to be JUST for this cast; I couldn't find squat for, say, Marion from Gunbird outside of 'she's popular'. Kung Fu Man (talk) 15:44, 14 December 2025 (UTC)

@Kung Fu Man:Are You referring to the other characters in the Sengoku Aces/Tengai duology? Hmmm... Let me see what i can dig for them. Let me see what i can dig for Marion too... Roberth Martinez (talk) 17:39, 14 December 2025 (UTC)
@Kung Fu Man:Okay so, i have not found anything about the other two Tengai characters, but i did found some stuff about Marion: (1), (2) (3), (4), (5). Roberth Martinez (talk) 20:42, 14 December 2025 (UTC)
@Kung Fu Man:Speaking of video game characters, can you figure out what it is being said about a character called Elaine Shee in the third Gals Island edition? I want to use the info in the Gaiapolis page: (1), (2) Roberth Martinez (talk) 17:20, 16 December 2025 (UTC)
First page is mainly a bio, though they found her use of tonfa unusual. They additionally stated that while she was plainer than the other characters, that wasn't a bad thing. Second page states that her "Silk Underwear" armor became famous (?) and found her ears cute. Sadly that's it.--Kung Fu Man (talk) 17:40, 16 December 2025 (UTC)
@Kung Fu Man:Thanks! I can use bits of what you translated into the reception section of Gaiapolis :D Roberth Martinez (talk) 17:44, 16 December 2025 (UTC)
Also, hijacking, but would you be willing to search for sources on Sayo-chan? - Cukie Gherkin (talk) 05:48, 17 December 2025 (UTC)
@Cukie Gherkin:Hmmm... Let me see what i can dig up for Sayo-chan. The biggest issue being where in the flying heck did ZUN said that Sayo-chan was an influence for Reimu Hakurei. Roberth Martinez (talk) 18:16, 17 December 2025 (UTC)
I hate how hard it is to cite this kinda stuff... Cukie Gherkin (talk) 23:37, 21 December 2025 (UTC)
@Cukie Gherkin:I put some sources in the page you linked. I have not done much these last few days, since i don't have internet at my home currently. Roberth Martinez (talk) 02:04, 22 December 2025 (UTC)
Outage? Cukie Gherkin (talk) 11:42, 22 December 2025 (UTC)

XING and Floating Runner

Hey. It kind of pains me to do it, but I've removed the T&E info from the Floating Runner article here. Its very frustrating, but it would go against WP:WEIGHT as several sources list XING as the developer in old magazine publications. I'm presuming they are just taking things at face value which is a very common thing from 80s/90s video game magazines. That being said, this could be one of those things where T&E did some work on it and XING did as well, we don't really have any idea as there's such little info about the game. I'm not really sure what to do. :/ Andrzejbanas (talk) 15:28, 22 December 2025 (UTC)

I'm going to see if anyone has The Untold History of Japanese Game Developers Volume 2. Despite it being self-published, the author is acceptable to use via WP:VG standards. It would be helpful. Andrzejbanas (talk) 15:38, 22 December 2025 (UTC)
@Andrzejbanas:I actually have a copy of Volumen 2, now that i think about it. Let me see if i can find it and see if it does says that T&E Soft did work on the game. I'll let you know later today here. Roberth Martinez (talk) 15:59, 22 December 2025 (UTC)
Oh geez I just bought the Kindle edition! Feel free to add maybe a page number to it. This would be helpful. Thank you! Andrzejbanas (talk) 16:06, 22 December 2025 (UTC)

Cancelled Virtual Boy games

I believe that a better solution would be to make a new section of the list for cancelled Virtual Boy games that were released at a later date. I expect there will be at least three, and I think enough people would go to the list expecting to see something like Dragon Hopper, arguably the second most well-known cancelled Virtual Boy game Cukie Gherkin (talk) 15:23, 27 January 2026 (UTC)

Source search help

Hey, since you're always pretty good at finding sources, could you keep an eye out for stuff for Rei Ijuin from Tokimeki Memorial? Cukie Gherkin (talk) 04:35, 8 February 2026 (UTC)

@Cukie Gherkin:Since Rei is a hidden character pairing in the original Tokimeki Memorial, finding sources about her might be tricky but your best bets would be Dengeki PC Engine, Dengeki PlayStation, Sega Saturn Magazine (JP), Saturn Fan, among others that i can't remember right now. Roberth Martinez (talk) 04:39, 8 February 2026 (UTC)
How do you find info in magazines? Is it just a terrible slog? I have such trouble actually searching the magazine itself without looking page by page, as the archive.org doesn't want to actually search the magazine. - Cukie Gherkin (talk) 04:41, 8 February 2026 (UTC)
@Cukie Gherkin:I have to actually check out of any magazine is available on archive.org, Retromags, RetroCDN.net, etc. Then i check out the magazine's content by viewing it. You need the Google Translate app to help you with any foreign magazine. I also check out the user who uploaded the magazine at archive.org for example. Roberth Martinez (talk) 04:48, 8 February 2026 (UTC)
@Cukie Gherkin:OK so i came across with what seems to be a write up about Rei from TM1: (1). Let me know when you're done with the X-it review. (P.S. - found another one: (2)) Roberth Martinez (talk) 00:05, 12 February 2026 (UTC)
Ah nice, thank you Cukie Gherkin (talk) 22:14, 13 February 2026 (UTC)
@Cukie Gherkin:Found another one: (3) Roberth Martinez (talk) 01:13, 19 February 2026 (UTC)

Reinstertion of WP:USERGENERATED sources

Why did you reintroduce WP:USERGENERATED sources? Both GDRI and VGMDB are wikis that are should not be used as sources on Wikipedia. 🦀Cronacrab🦀 | talk 17:36, 10 March 2026 (UTC)

@Cronacrab:Regarding GDRI, it has been referenced by video game reviewers such as Jeremy Parish and GDRI is handled by one person, so it's more like a research blog than a full-fledge wiki (although the format it uses is pretty much identical to the one here on Wikipedia). That and the person who did the GA review for Mutant Penguins did not find any issues with GDRI. Now about VGMDB, yeah, i can remove them from the Valis and Ufouria articles if i can find any reference in magazines about the albums they made appearence in. Roberth Martinez (talk) 18:10, 10 March 2026 (UTC)
GDRI is not solely edited by one person: . Plenty of unreliable sources are used by others, but it doesn't make them suitable for Wikipedia. 🦀Cronacrab🦀 | talk 18:30, 10 March 2026 (UTC)
