- Don't be afraid to edit! Just find something that can be improved and make it better. Other editors will help fix any mistakes you make.
- It's normal to feel a little overwhelmed, but don't worry if you don't understand everything at first—it's fine to edit using common sense.
- If an edit you make is reverted, you can discuss the issue at the article's talk page. Be civil, and don't restore the edit unless there is consensus.
- Always use edit summaries to explain your changes.
- When adding new content to an article, always include a citation to a reliable source.
- If you wish to edit about a subject with which you are affiliated, read our conflict of interest guide and disclose your connection.

File permission problem with File:Christoperleonjames.webp

Thanks for uploading File:Christoperleonjames.webp. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.
If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either
- make a note permitting reuse under the CC BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
- Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{permission pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.
If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.
If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. Here is a list of your uploads. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F11 of the criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Whpq (talk) 00:15, 23 April 2024 (UTC)

Hi KmartEmployeeTor! I noticed that you recently marked an edit as minor that may not have been. "Minor edit" has a specific definition on Wikipedia—it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Thank you. Graywalls (talk) 19:32, 20 November 2024 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification for January 11
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Spongebath Records, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page New wave. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Non-free use of File:TrunkFullaAmpsMiniAdvert.gif

Thank you for uploading File:TrunkFullaAmpsMiniAdvert.gif. However, there is a concern that the use of the image on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. Details of this problem, and which specific criteria that the image may not meet, can be obtained by going to the image description page. If you feel that this image does meet those criteria, please place a note on the image description or talk page explaining why. Do not remove the {{di-fails NFCC}} tag itself.
An administrator will review this file within a few days, and having considered the opinions placed on the image page, may delete it in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion or remove the tag entirely. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. — Ирука13 09:41, 19 January 2025 (UTC)

Stop marking all of your edits as minor
Most of the edits you mark as minor are not minor edits. Incorrectly marking an edit as minor is deceptive; it tells others that they don't need to check the accuracy of the edit, which in most your edits marked as minor is not the case. "Minor edit" has a very specific definition on Wikipedia—it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Read Help:Minor edit for more information. Sundayclose (talk) 19:22, 20 October 2025 (UTC)
- do you go through people's wikipedia pages to check their contributions and check if they're all marked as minor? because i just went through 2 pages of yours and not only do you edit wikipedia EVERY day but you've done this atleast six different times KmartEmployeeTor (talk) 19:34, 20 October 2025 (UTC)

My warning stands, and yes I will watch your edits at least long enough to see that you actually take my warning seriously, especially with your attitude. You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war, according to the reverts you've made to Gizmodgery. This means that you are repeatedly reverting content back to how you think it should be, despite knowing that other editors disagree. Once it is known that there is a disagreement, users are expected to collaborate with others, avoid editing disruptively, and try to reach a consensus – rather than repeatedly reverting the changes made by other users.
Important points to note:
- Edit warring is disruptive behavior – regardless of how many reverts you have made;
- Do not engage in edit warring – even if you believe that you are right.
You need to discuss the disagreement on the article's talk page and work towards a revision that represents consensus among everyone involved. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution if discussions reach an impasse. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you continue to engage in edit warring, you may be blocked from editing. Binksternet (talk) 20:19, 17 November 2025 (UTC)

Non-free rationale for File:GizmodgeryJapaneseGoodies.jpeg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:GizmodgeryJapaneseGoodies.jpeg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under the non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F6 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. AfD Closure
You closed American hybrid warfare against Greenland during the second Trump administration as keep. Could you unpack that a little? Your closing statement is very brief and doesn't seem to take account for the policy based deletion arguments, of which there were many. I suppose a "no consensus" close would not be so controversial, but I don't see how you arrived at "keep". Thanks. Sirfurboy🏄 (talk) 17:42, 14 January 2026 (UTC)
- Yeah, I'll probably update it to "no consensus" as that seems the more logical answer, I'll expand upon it when I get back. KmartEmployeeTor (talk) 17:45, 14 January 2026 (UTC)
- Thanks. Sirfurboy🏄 (talk) 17:47, 14 January 2026 (UTC)
- @Sirfurboy@KmartEmployeeTorThere is a bigger problem. For non Admins to close an AfD they need to show experience that this editor doesn’t have. See WP:NACD
- Do not close a discussion if:
- you are not fairly experienced with (or are unfamiliar with) Wikipedia policies and guidelines, in particular, consensus, deletion policy, or the workings of deletion discussions. The notices above and previous don't suggest any of that. And although a minor point the closure wasn’t given the NACD template. I’ll appeal tomorrow as it’s late here. Doug Weller talk 18:56, 14 January 2026 (UTC)
- It would probably be better for a more experienced "deletor"(?) to handle this I assume, should I retract my closure then? KmartEmployeeTor (talk) 19:01, 14 January 2026 (UTC)
