Hi Krd. When you added {{Permission ticket}} to this file's page, you changed the licensing for the file but didn't change {{Non-free rationale logo}} to {{Information}}; so, a bot noticed this conflict and tagged the with {{Wrong license}} for further review. I've cleaned this up, but just want to verify whether the VRT ticket applies to the originally uploaded version of the logo or just the reduced version of the logo.
When the file was originally uploaded, it was uploaded with a non-free license but without a non-free use rationale. A Wikipedia administrator named Explicit subsequently reviewed the file and added the missing rationale, but by then a bot had already reduced the file and tagged the older version for speedy deletion per WP:F5. If the VRT ticket for the file applies to all versions of the logo, the older deleted version can be restored per WP:REFUND, and the file then moved to Commons; on the other hand, if the ticket applies only to the reduced version of the logo, then I think only that version can be moved to Commons.
I don't mind asking Explicit to restore the older version, but I just want to make sure it's OK to do so. -- Marchjuly (talk) 02:33, 30 July 2024 (UTC)
Deleted file was reuploaded
Hello, I noticed that you deleted File:Drew MacEwen (cropped).png on Commons. Someone reuploaded the same file on Wikipedia here, again with no evidence of permission. Is there any way you could delete this reupload? Thanks! BottleOfChocolateMilk (talk) 16:19, 24 September 2024 (UTC)
- No, I'm no admin of English Wikipedia. Krd 16:21, 24 September 2024 (UTC)

Hi @Krd. I uploaded three photos to Commons, and has permission, but stil haven't reviewed. Can you review it ? 250px 250px 250px Tô Ngọc Khang (talk) 15:54, 28 September 2024 (UTC)
- Already done by somebody. Krd 16:22, 28 September 2024 (UTC)
- It's still show that:
- This file, which was originally posted to an external website, has not yet been reviewed by an administrator or reviewer to confirm that the above license is valid. See Category:License review needed for further instructions. Tô Ngọc Khang (talk) 03:19, 29 September 2024 (UTC)
- This is not relevant, the files have been approved. --Krd 07:44, 29 September 2024 (UTC)
- From my perspective, they were still waiting for license review. They were approved by a VRT agent (me), but not by a license reviewer (not me). One verification might be sufficient, but two (of different kinds) would be stronger. Whym (talk) 11:55, 1 October 2024 (UTC)
- VRT permission is stronger than LR, so LR is not required. Krd 16:57, 1 October 2024 (UTC)
- I don't dispute that another approval is not required. But don't you see any additional value? For one thing, public evidence is easier to verify for a larger number of people. Whym (talk) 12:46, 4 October 2024 (UTC)
- I see more risk to create a precedent for such double verification, which id not manageable at large scale. Krd 14:34, 4 October 2024 (UTC)

VRT ticket 2024121610009288
Hello, Could you please add the {{Ticket confirmation}} template for Ticket:2024121610009288 to the talk pages of the articles Philosophy of medicine and Medicine? I would do it myself but I am not a VRT agent and am therefore unable to view the ticket to determine what license the content was released under. Thank you! --Diannaa (talk) 00:29, 22 December 2024 (UTC)

Please restore File:Gavin D’Costa.jpg
When I uploaded it I selected the "Please choose why this work is free to share. Providing incorrect information may result in the deletion of your media."
Then I selected "I have permission to upload this work from my employer or the creator of this work"
To which it responded "I understand that if the email is not sent in the 30 days of the upload, this file will be deleted."
The author was traveling and just this morning emailed me back that he gave permission on the wiki release generator.
Please restore this and for future reference don't shoot from the hip, assume good faith, and adhere to wiki policy by waiting for the 30 days to expire.
Also now I have come to find out that you are not even an English administrator. Do you even receive the wiki commons release generate for English speakers?

Hi Krd. Since you verified File:ThPhoto25round-v2.jpg's VRT ticket, I'm wondering whether you were aware that the same image can be seen here and was being used at least as early as September 2025 (web
- I wasn't aware. What does this mean, what exactly is the point? Krd 13:33, 27 February 2026 (UTC)
- Given that the photo seems to have been published on a University of Hong Kong wesbite several months prior to it being uploaded to Wikipedia, it seemed possible to me that it was taken by an employee of the university as part of their official duties (which is often the case of photos taken of professors appearing on their offical university profile pages) and not a selfie taken by the uploader. However, if you're satisfied from the email VRT received that this isn't the case, then that's good enough for me. -- Marchjuly (talk) 23:49, 27 February 2026 (UTC)
- I think it's sufficient per the ticket. Krd 03:58, 28 February 2026 (UTC)
