Your Trigintaduonions article says nothing about a property of the sedenions that is not shared by your new set. We know that:
- The quaternions are not commutative in multiplication.
- The octonions are not associative in multiplication.
- The sedenions are not alternative in multiplication.
But what property is lost in the trigintaduonions?? Georgia guy (talk) 16:03, 11 October 2024 (UTC)
- @Georgia guy: That's a good question. There aren't any that I know of. This is not a well researched area. That would be something to ask the specialists working in this specific area of abstract algebra. LagrangianFox (talk) 16:14, 11 October 2024 (UTC)
- And do you know of any Wikipedians in this category?? Georgia guy (talk) 16:15, 11 October 2024 (UTC)
- @Georgia guy:
No, butI would be happy to ask off-wiki specialists about this. I'll let you know when I get an answer. LagrangianFox (talk) 18:42, 11 October 2024 (UTC)- @Georgia guy: I just asked Jgmoxness and John Baez, who are specialists in this area. LagrangianFox (talk) 22:06, 11 October 2024 (UTC)
- @Georgia guy: John Baez, an expert on the octonions, doesn't know what property is lost for the trigintaduonions. For dimensions 1, 2, 4, and 8, we have the division algebras, and then we have the sedenions, a non-division algebra. That's where most of the basic properties are already lost. The law of diminishing returns comes to mind. LagrangianFox (talk) 05:43, 13 October 2024 (UTC)
