Hello, I'm E Lander. I noticed that you recently removed content from Hope & Heroes Children's Cancer Fund without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Replying to your concerns
In reference to this comment on my talk page
Ah, thank you for being so civil about this! Alright so, I'm not quite the best person to make edits, but I can tell you what you're doing wrong and maybe point your toward some helpful resources. The first problem was that you did not use an WP:EDITSUMMARY. Some editors may not understand the purpose of your edit, so it's good to always use an edit summary. Not a problem in it of itself, but it can magnify other problems. Secondly, you removed the references, seemingly because instead of editing the source, you copied and pasted the text content, or typed the text manually, which kinda messed up the formatting, removing all links (references, links to other pages, etc) in the section you changed, replacing it with unformatted text. This is... Kinda not great. It's tough to navigate the editor, yes, but I kinda have no idea how you did this. In the toolbar at the top of the editor, there's some sections to add links to other pages, and references. Now, your edit was great! It just had some formatting and communication issues. I'm kind of on a time crunch right now because of finals, but if you try again, or open up a discussion on the talk page to ask someone else to help you, I bet it'll be better! Thank you, and happy editing! E_Lander (She/Her) Chat w/ me! 16:33, 19 December 2025 (UTC)
- (Usually you'd reply to a message on the same talk page it's on, but I just put this here so you'd see it. Sorry!) E_Lander (She/Her) Chat w/ me! 16:34, 19 December 2025 (UTC)
